And doors. I would say for what he spent, and the time restraints they did a good job. I would take a black rattle can and tape off the interior and other parts and paint it black on all the red parts.

I agree. For four days the car not only functions, but drives. That works for me. If you put more time and money into it your only going to be more disappointed when it gets scratched. Keeping the investment low keeps it carefree and fun. There's something to be said for that. ☺

@@awidesigns ive done just base coat before.. my 2JZ BRZ is a year old and still holds up just fine. Hotrodders have been doing just basecoat with a good hardener in it forever.. sure it wont last 50 years, but itll last longer than this color..

B is for Build basecoat wont last..it takes moisture in it. Ofcourse it depends on base but mainly without clearcoat or some sort coat, is a big no no. You can also find the info on the paint how would it last without clear..

I could point out all the flaws but from undrivable to daily drivable in 4 days is amazing! So many projects start out great then end up on jackstands for months until the owner loses interest and never gets it running. With this you can spend your free time fixing the flaws and still enjoy the car which is the whole point. Well done guys!

Vidyamancer I think what he means is you shouldn’t throw your reputation away just to meet a deadline. If you can’t do something right, you either get the time needed or don’t do it at all. What if the buyer gets in an accident because something was rushed and done improperly?

They have both proven that they can do amazing things with cars.... if they pushed the time then their wouldnt be anything challenging about the build. No ones reputation has been thrown away...it was a 4!! day challenge, like cmon people cut these guys a freaking break.

If it's single stage paint you don't need to clear coat it per say- but if you don't keep it waxed it fades and dulls. After 4+ years 🤔 atleast from my experience. But idk what kind of paint he used.

For everyone complaining about the finish, these guys even acknowledge the fact, it's a drivable car, it's not meant to be mint. It's been done for a reason to show us, the fans, it can be done and that we can do it. Cars are meant to be fun, enjoyable and driven, we should all enjoy it. Love the build. Good to see it finally driving.

I like the channel overall, but man it seems like these builds just keep getting lower and lower quality. I know this channel isn't meant to showcase 100% perfection, but the corner cutting is starting to be way too obvious... Plus we never get extended videos of the cars on the road or on track-- I'm wondering how many of these builds are actually good to drive

I think you are totally wrong the paint job worth -5000 I hate it.... very low quality job, he sprayed paint over Ecoat (no sealer)... jams still red, no clearcoat which mean ZERO protection on the paint against solvents or even bird poop and I highly recommend tavarish dont do this type of collaboration

I like the paint choice :) Gotta agree with others about the engine bay and door jams, but even with a rattle can of that black paint can be a quick fix for the time crunch. Don't let the haters get you down man though, it looks good! People don't realize you cut down hours of work into a minute or 2. Keep up the great work!

For a challenge, do a purpose built car for under a certain amount. Build a drift car for under 5k or a 10 second drag car under 7k. See who gets the best result.

I hope everyone knows that matte finishes still require clear coat. This paint wont patr 6 months in the elements. So you didnt really save money when you have to repaint the dying basecoat "matte" finish. B is for Blown Budget on Bad Paint

The mounts for the body panels are still slightly screwed up, but considering they only did some pulling it really isn't terrible. They lucked out with it even being that intact instead of the front quarter of the car being held together by friction after getting crunched.

Dont know why people point out the red under the hood and in the doors. It was done in 4 days and the car looks great. Maybe if they had a crew of people and a big budget things would be perfect but yeah. I really like watching B is for Build. Pretty inspired after watching this channel. Impressed with the work that went into getting this thing done in a short amount of time. But it looks like it's a 20 footer. Seeing the red paint under the hood and door jambs really detracts from this build. Not sure what the long term plans are for this car, but if you wanted to sell it (not sure what a 3x total loss vehicle would be worth), but any resale value has been killed with the obvious respray.
