I have a 2019 Z900RS Cafe green/white model, and I love it! I could have bought a faster bike, any make, but looks are what sold me on mine. It reminds me of the 1970's KZ bikes. It has...STYLE! Honestly, how fast do I need to go? It fits good, handles good, it will move out, and is one of the best looking bikes of all time! Yes I'm a little biased, but I love it. No buyers remorse here brother! Just my humble opinion.
Good evening 🌆. The bike looks great B ! I've evolved with my Scat Pack, improved my skills, and running great numbers on the street. Finally got my new brakes!
If you realize there is no good answer to the question, “Why do I need more power?” You’ll be satisfied by that sweet-looking ride. It’s the toe-cutter, for crying out loud!
I understand your thoughts on this buyers remorse. I have a couple of suggestions for you which I am sure you already know but the tires will make a big difference. The other thought is you have a super bike, why not just buy another set of tires for that bike more street able not track ready. When I have done some research what I found is yes you get a second or two faster but is it worth it.The resale value of what you put into will not be returned to you. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but really what it is a gaint hole in the ground, lol
Wasting $ on those bridgestones, why not pirelli diablo supercorsa SPs with a 180/60 rear. Drop the front 12mm and then you will have your sports bike.
I just came upon your video and you definitely addressed the thoughts of many riders. I can only assume we are of similar age and experience. I have the 2023 standard version of the Z900RS. I bought it for the looks , ergonomics and some nostalgia- one of my early bikes was a beat up Z1000. Just a huge fan of the UJM look. In my opinion there is no “ value “ in any motorcycle. It’s a luxury item that we are both in the position to own and enjoy. You are totally spot on speaking about other, more powerful bikes out there. I do not get any more riding satisfaction out of a ZX14R. There will always be different, attractive motorcycles out there that you like- it’s our passion - Tom
Soo... You want more power to keep up with the faster bikes on the street. You read the specs of this bike and still bought it. The only thing this bike appears to be missing is character preventing you to even to consider to sell it. I am a Moto Guzzi Griso 8v1200 owner revamped to a 2010 gentlemans Cupracer (a similar conversion as your bike but different aestatics) . It's a 2decades old design and still has not aged. Wherever I park I get noted never to sell it and to be fair, there is only a very few options to chose from personally . The main reason not to sell it is it's euro4 engine knowing a new bike will have a less (legal) raw throat and character due to emission restrictions. The Griso has it's forever home here but I'v been looking quite a bit to a W800 or RE classic350 which have the most beautiful engines and tank designs one can buy today. The kawa tank reminds me of an MV Agusta750s tank. However the Griso with it's "shortcomings" makes it great to personalise every winter, step by step. I feel this is not your forever bike or you might appreciate it later realising keeping up with "street legal track bikes" is a trainwreck waiting to happen. Better trade it in when it's best, or consider some testdrives at European brand dealers and decide your bike has it's forever home. You may even appreciate less powerfull bikes which tend to be an eye opener. You may even realise the age you may be able to drive motor cycles MINUS your real age and realise it's a sandclock. How many bikes are you willing to trade in this timespan? Your Kawa is a beautiful bike enjoy it's shortcomings (if there are any) . The cheapest option is to add the hotter camshaft and make it a forever bike but it's power envelope might change to the worse. hope this helps, kr,
I appreciate your input. The new Bridgestone S22s are now fitted to the motorcycle. I was able to get the bike out for a bit and can confirm the love affair has been rekindled. I will be chatting about that in an upcoming video. Between me and you, it's now every bit as stable as my Daytona mid-corner. The factory tires were doing nothing to instill confidence. When pushed hard gave the bike a very skiddish persona. -Pun intended. - As to the power, this motorcycle does not need any more of it. After everything I've done in terms of increasing the power output of this machine, any more would be counteractive to the nature of the bike. The chassis and the suspension would not be able to fully take advantage of it. Very much like my Bonneville. That machine does have exhaust modifications, air box, filter and a very well sortednout tune. Adding more power would do nothing to make that motorcycle better. So, as tot he buyers remorse. In short. Nope. I bought this motorcycle specifically for the look and for the ergonomics. The rest of this machine was more of a blank slate. I have maximized the power potential of this platform to a point where it complements my skill set and how and where this bike is ridden. It is still a sport naked at its core afterall and will be ridden as such. When it's time to go for a leisurely cruise, or for when i want to act my age, I've got my Thunderbird... although i do drag pegs on that thing, too.
I appreciate the kind words! The tail tidy is the cheap one off of Amazon that utilizes the stock turn signals. Very easy to install, but I would suggest employing some zip ties to hold all of it together as you were bolting it up it can be a bit fiddly. The screen itself is an MRA tinted windscreen in the stock configuration. So stock Heights not an increased height or bubble or anything like that.
@@bmasontv awesome, thanks! Sorry to be a pain, but is it the super cheap $30 one or the Railside Performance $100 one? I like the look better than the evotech for sure. I have the 2024 same color and am absolutely in love with this machine come ng from a cruiser and dirt bikes.
@@JebbGraff I went back and took a look, it was the md, which is about $100 now. But if I remembered correctly when I bought mine it was a lot less expensive than that. But that one is the one that you want for sure.
@@JebbGraff I went back and took a look and the MD is the one that you want. It's about a hundred bucks now but I want to say it was a lot less expensive when I got mine. I'm having a ball with mine with the new tires. In fact, a little bit too much fun as witnessed by a fun little citation from a pair of local constables.
