The MacArthur funded film ZABI NA (My Choice) traces the lives of three poor girls and shows the results of the decisions taken by them and their parents. One Asabe ends up as a punching bag in an unhappy marriage, the second Mariya ends up divorced because she contracts VVF (Vesico Vaginal Fistula), and the third Zuweira becomes a Nigeria Senator.
After watching the film ZABI NA (My Choice) the Permanent Secretary Kaduna state Ministry of Education said:- “Congratulations to you for this marvelous film. I hereby grant the Center for Change and Community Development the permission to enter all Government Secondary Schools across Kaduna state to show the film. This film ZABI NA will inspire and encourage young girls to focus on their education, set achievable goals and maintain a focus on their studies. The Emir of Zaria said “I want this film taken to every village and community in Kaduna state”.
