My girlfriend is Swedish and the language literally sounds like English being played in reverse. I always feel like she's talking backwards when she talks in her native tongue with her family.

I think he was surprised because as his co-worker he didn't know she spoke another language. He didn't know it was just a couple phrases because she didn't mention that fact until after his look of surprise. Why would anyone be impressed with a few words in a foreign language, lol That's pretty common.
And i am laughing because in europe , we use to learn like 2 foreign languages in school. I know french and english, and german pick up in my 10 years since living here. Btwy, i am romanian😅 so spanish is also easy for me
"Luremus" is Norwegian tho and the word for it in some southern pars of Sweden is "fnissmödis". The english word for that is "cocktease" like when a girl flirts a lot and pretends she wants sex but she only wants attention
