The superman returning scene NEEDS to be seen on big screen by world, it IS the superman moment everyone was waiting for, cavill “stepping into” truly becoming Sups, the voiceovers of both his dads in ship, the 2nd flight, it was so dam EPIC and perfect moment of the story arc coming full circle, it’s really a crime against cinema this hasn’t had a real theatrical release
Zack portraying Superman as a very humane character (since Man of Steel) is very heart-touching. Even after resurrected, Superman didn't remember his Kryptonian name "Kal-El", but he DID remember his human name "Clark" and called the farmhouse his "Home". He really considered himself as a human and it makes him special comparing to other superheroes.
To explain the epilogue… • Superman turns evil after Batman fails to save Lois Lane from Darkseid in the batcave. • Superman gets brainwashed by Darkseid who kills Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, etc. • Batman’s forced to team up with The Joker who’s the only one who knows where to find a Mother Box. • They need one to create a cosmic treadmill that allows The Flash to go back in time to warn Bruce Wayne that “Lois Lane is the key.”
In Batman's Knightmare scene with Joker, my best guess is that because it takes place in the future when Darkseid possesses the Anti Life Equation- which allows him to control the will of every living being in the universe -Joker is useful because his mind is so scrambled that the Anti Life Equation is probably useless on him
Fun Facts: The whole sequence where Superman battles the League was to be a subtle reference to the original proposed plans for the sequels of Justice League that were to be directed by Zack Snyder. Lois would have died at the hands of Darkseid who would have conned Superman to be infected with Anti-Life and become a loyal soldier of Darkseid who scorches the Earth. The whole plot of Justice League Two and Three would have been basically a Days of Future Past storyline in the DC Extended Cinematic Universe. I don't know all the details, but also the child that Lois is expecting also is potentially NOT Clark's but BRUCE'S. Apparently, despite the fact that Bruce nearly murdered Clark in their previous encounter, after Clark died, Lois and Bruce would have had a night of passion together and Lois would have gotten pregnant with Bruce's child. The child would have died in Lois' womb when Darkseid killed her to break Superman, but after Barry is able to rewrite history in Justice League Part Three and stop Darkseid, Superman and Lois would have raised Bruce's child to be the next Batman. Most of the storylines that Zack Snyder's Justice League films have taken inspiration from are primarily alternate universe stories and one-shots. Man of Steel drew inspiration from Birthright by Mark Waid, Secret Origin by Geoff Johns, and Secret Identity by Kurt Busiek. Dawn of Justice drew inspiration from The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller and Noel by Lee Bermejo. Zack Snyder's Justice League and its proposed sequels would have been based on the Injustice video games and their comic books. Both Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan (who are best friends) have severed ties pretty much with Warner Bros Pictures, and both of their last films involve a battle of the fate of the world set in an abandoned Russian city: Zack Snyder's Justice League and Tenet. The trick where Barry goes back in time to stop the Unity is called a Flashpoint. There's a very famous comic book by Geoff Johns called Flashpoint where Barry went back in time and stopped his mother's murder, but as a result, he caused reality to be re-written and created a world without the Justice League. It would have been the primary plot for the Flash solo movie, but they just took the barest minimum of the story instead of the actual story. If you watch the Aquaman movie, you'll find out why Arthur drinks so much. I recommend it, even though it has Amber Heard in it. It's a pretty good movie. Deathstroke was to be the villain for Ben Affleck's Batman solo movie. It would have mostly been like Arrow Season Two, only with Batman instead of Oliver Queen. The Knightmare Scene with Batman and the Joker seemingly puts to rest who the Joker is. There was a long-running rumor that he was a former Robin named Jason Todd and that he was tortured to become the new Joker by the original Joker. However, Jared Leto put that rumor to rest by stating that his Joker is the Joker and wasn't a Robin, and that scene pretty much confirms that what he said is true.
Superman's death and return was based on the comic book stories The Death of Superman" and "The Return of Superman" There are two animated movie which tell those story closer to the way the comics did. If you need a shorter name for The Martian Manhunter you can call him J'onn as his birth name is J'onn J'onzz and if you gift him some Oreos he will be your BFF. In the comics J'onn is one of the founding members of the Justice League along with Superman, Batman, wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern
"Boy wonder" The Joker is talking about Robin, Batman´s adopted son. The joker burnt him to ashes and that´s why you can see the burnt Wayne Manor and the burnt Robin´s suit in Batman v Superman. The suit even had a "Haha, joke´s on you, Batman!" graffiti all over it.
@@Spartans_editz Nope, that was just Geoff Johns' screw-up, David Ayer already confirmed that in his canon (SnyderVerse) Harley was not involved in Robin's death. The reason why Joker has the metal teeth was after Batman broke his teeth for killing Robin, and when Joker meets Harley in the asylum he already has those metal teeth, so in the real canon Harley didn't kill anyone.
i did it in one sitting but I heard Zack snyder say that he didnt wanna cut anything out and give the fans the entire movie so he just split it into parts so we can watch parts 1 to 3 and then the rest after a break

He is more than just a rich guy with gadgets in a batsuit, he has trained him self to the peak of human limits, if you took away the powers of his team members not a single one of them would be able to best him in hand to hand combat.
Upon repeated viewing, these films have grown on me the more I viewed them as 'Elseworlds' stories. They offer a more serious portrayal of these characters, for better or worse, depending on who you ask. Still have my problems with this film as I've never been a fan of Zack's take on these characters but as a film I respect it. My problems mostly come from Zack basing these versions of the characters more on their dark, moody, and serious counterparts from The New 52 (2011 to 2015). This universe began with more serious takes on characters. A world where the Golden Age Justice Society of America never existed during the 1940s and Clark's parents were killed in a car accident on the night of his high school prom, leaving an 18-year-old Clark to grow up without the guidance of the Kent's becoming a more moody Superman. This film also features the New 52 version of Justice League and as a whole it very much embraces the more darker tones, Zack's style basically. Of course, it borrows heavily from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns and applies that tone to all his films. The New 52 may be DC's most disliked era, but there are some excellent stories, mainly from Batman. Frank Miller's Batman is great but an acquired take on both Batman, and more so Superman. Each of Zack's DC films could have explored different tones and styles. For instance, a more inspirational, colourful, and hopeful Superman film could have been a refreshing addition. Even Henry Cavill was keen to highlight this side of Superman, a departure from Snyder's serious take on the character in Justice League and its planned sequel. This is something films like Shazam! (2019) did really well, found it to be more inspirational than anything to do with Superman in this universe. Despite my criticisms, I did find enjoyment in Justice League. More importantly, I'm optimistic about the future of the new DCU. James Gunn's film's promise of a more hopeful Superman, as seen in the behind-the-scenes pictures, is a reassuring sign of the franchise's direction. Right away, his Superman and Metropolis contrast Batman and Gotham City massively. And will no doubt get a Justice League in his new DCU as well. If you want a more hopeful depiction of Superman, I highly recommend All-Star Superman (2011), an Animated film based on the comic of the same name. it is also the basis for the tone of the next Superman film, releasing sometime in 2025 so you got plenty of time. Superman: The Animated Series (1996) is the best Superman media and how I wanted the character along with Metropolis to be depicted in live action. And of course Superman (1978) starring Christopher Reeve as Superman. For the justice League I recommend animated films like Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) based on one of the best DC comics in certain years. Justice League: Doom (2012) and Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010) are also great films as well. You also have the amazing Justice League Animated Series which is the best rendition of the team apart of the DC Animated Universe, beginning with the iconic Batman: Animated Series. A shared connected universe decades before the MCU and DCEU.
I’m not a comics guy at all so I think I benefitted from that. I don’t like action comedies really so I liked that MOS was like an alien first contact movie and BVS a drama and ZSJL more of the fantasy / lord of the rings type thing. I like the serious take. No talking animals and stuff like that.

And if you watch them as such, you're in for an epic treat. watch them as superhero comedies and you'll puke in the toilet for over an hour. Same logic applies to Donner's superman. Apart from a small portion of superman 3,if you watch them as Dramatic takes on the character, you'll hate the hell out of them. But as a romantic comedy, they work because comedies rely on an element of ridicule & escapism. My take is just like Clark said "if people really knew who i was, they'd reject me". Seems to me people didn't really care to know the inner struggles Clark might have gone through, the nights he struggles breathing, the bullying he went through, the struggle of keeping his identity secret & why, the mistakes he may have made etc But for me,it's why i like the character more since MoS.

But I understand why as the film,according to snyder,wasn't at 100% & he wasn't allowed to do shoot any new scenes( including the initially intended GL scene) All new scenes were CG.

"I hope this doesn't come to pass [Apokolips on Earth nightmare Batman vision/epilog]" The original Snyder vision was for JL2 to be Darkseid's invasion and the death of Lois, which gives rise to the vengeful dark Superman. So, yes, it does come to pass, but if you noticed future Flash was wearing the same weird armor he was wearing when he appeared to Bruce in BvS and said "Am I too soon?" Apokolips Future Barry goes back in time again and visits Bruce just after the events of JL to warn him of the chain of events the death of Lois starts, so in JL3 they decide to change the future by going to confront Darkseid on his home world of Apokolips instead of waiting for the invasion, and it is in that story that Batman achieves ultimate redemption by sacrificing himself to save the Earth. But, alas, as you said, that vision will never be realized now.
The epilogue or all the nightmare scenes are kind of premonitions, variations of the future, so far we know the world ends up being destroyed in the future by Darksaid and Superman, somehow Batman didn’t save Lois Lane which by the way is pregnant and losing them made Superman vulnerable and Darksaid took advantage of it and uses him as a weapon with the anti life equation, even though the world was destroyed it looks like some people survive but not all are heroes so Batman is forced to look for help even of some of his biggest villain to undo this mess. The Snyderverse is amazing! Just remember it is composed only by Man of steel, Batman v Superman Ultimate Cut, Suicide Squad Extended Cut, Wonder Woman and Zack Snyder’s JL. After those movies everything was disconnected and not part of it. Let’s hope WBD listen to every one soon and #RestoreTheSnyderVerse or at least sell the rights cause this story is amazing and we deserve to see it continue and end properly.
If you want more Justice League i recomend that watch the animated movies of the team like Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Justice League: Doom, Justice League: War, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis and Justice League Dark: Apokolips War that should be enough to get you started.
Definitely recommend watching the Justice League animated movies and series! Also recommend watching Injustice and Injustice 2 game story explains more backstory and introduces more DC heroes and villians. Also recommend Arkham game story for Batman!!! I'm sure others in the comments will explain more and recommend more options. Loved the reactions can't wait for more DC reactions!!!!!
Unfortunately you don't get to see the continuation of the story because Warner Brothers canceled this version of the DCEU and are completely starting over
Enjoyed your review. I was always hoping that this “ universe “ did NOT pit out 20 plus movies. I eoukd have loved MOS, BVS UE, a David Ayer SSquad with the Parademons, Dteppenwolf connection, WW1 and zSJL . I felt Aquaman was more of a jokey tone and did t quite fit the others. Plus it had changes from Snyder’s version of the character. Other than that I eoukd have loved Snyder’s planned two sequels, the Battfleck movie and I’m sure I’d be open to maybe a couple of others but I think either the nature of the godlike heroes you can only save the world so many times . I think it’s better they don’t have too many movies in one storyline. But that’s probably a minority opinion.
I get that Batman is just a man but he's a fictional superhero and literally one of the strongest humans ever. He's not only resoruceful but clever and a master in hand to hand combat. He's more than capable of battling aliens and villains.
Yeah I absolutely hate when people say Batman's just a guy or that he's realistic or unironically that his superpower is money. If that's so, there are so many multibillionaires in the world, why don't we have a Batman? And he's not just clever and a master in hand to hand combat, he's got genius level intellect like Lex Luthor, the best detective and stealth (ninjitsu) skills and mastered in every branch of science and trained in several forms of martial arts from around the world, AND...he is a competent and noble CEO which brings in the money in addition to helping people.
they needed Diana & Bruce to hook up and start a romance then it would be more fun, Ay least we get Clark and Lois , MARVEL has no hook ups all the female heroes seem to avoid men , which is no fun
Great reaction. You seem interested in Flash, so I recommend you watch The Flash 2023. I know there will be a lot of people who disagree with this suggestion because many people dislike the film and there is a lot of drama surrounding it, but I still hope you will watch it because, despite its CGI, I think it's a pretty good movie. It is surely the film most closely connected with Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Closest? I guess. But it’s not even close as its tone and feels jarringly different. I actually recommend against seeing it be still cause more confusion as it’s not really connected to Snyder films outside of them trying to Retcon Snyder’s films and be like the other post BVS films that didn’t do well.

The only way that would work would be in animated or comic book form. Snyder doesn’t work for DC or WB anymore, and Affleck doesn’t want to play Batman anymore.
