i think Zack Snyder is one of the most gifted and talented directors of our time. I have yet to see Sucker Punch, but I'm upset about the bad reviews i've heard.
Sucker punch is deep at the same time as being indulgent, if you get into the story of the girl and what actually happens to her it will leave you feeling pretty fked up. I woke the next day still depressed about what happened to her, he must be some kind of movie genius for that to happen.
i watch it more than 10 times n its very deep, story telling in visual n concept through the different world n lots of symbolistic n lots of referece to all the other movie but i luv the movie - so much i am making cosplay film from the movie
..."Dancing" in the context of his movie is code for sexual intercourse... Every time their is a scene when Baby Doll closes her eyes and fights...she's being raped The whole movie is about Trauma Based Mind Control ...and the extended scene makes this story even more grotesque and disturbing
@scrubbycritter he makes me think. i'll give you that, but i leave his movies thinking, "why the fuck did i waste my time on this garbage." he completely missed the point of watchmen and this movie was a complete disaster. this movie just shows you a bunch of things and doesn't explain any of it. there are a bunch of characters and you only find out one back story...kind of. all of the girls either over act because of lac of experience or they don't emote at all. this was a fucking mess.
