Zack vs Angeal | Aerith VA Plays Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion Pt 7 

A fun fact: Aerith is talking about the sky & hugging mourning Zack in the church in the Autumn at 6:26, and by the time Zack gets his second scar, cuts his hair, is put on standby, and then goes to call her on his vacation at Costa Del Sol - it is all the way in the Summer of the following year. It's easy to miss getting a sense of just how long Aerith & Zack had getting to know each other in the background between the events that we actually get to play. When Cissnei reveals that Aerith doesn't bring up being an Ancient or that the Turks are always keeping her under surveillance to Zack on the beach, it seems like Aerith is trying to make sure the things about her life aren't an added complexity to the already difficult choices he has to make - that way they can always just be a source of comfort & reprieve to one another free from those otherwise inescapable painful realities of Shinra's presence in both of their lives. There's a lot of nuance in both *_Remake_* & *_Rebirth_* in Aerith's portrayal that makes little moments like what that hug represents between them in terms of caring for one another and the impact that had on both of their lives really still carry a huge amount of weight - thanks in no small part of how well your performance consistently delivers the emotional core to her, so I just wanted to say thanks. It's meant the world getting to play, and it's especially lovely getting to hear your own thoughts about scenes like in your own playthroughs of the games.

"Permission to return...granted." It's subtle yet funny and nice that even Sephiroth knows just how much Zack wants to see Aerith.

5:40 Angeal’s fate was so sad.😢 I really felt for Zack in this moment. He just lost his mentor, the one who taught him everything he knew, who taught him to embrace his dreams, Angeal was like a father figure to Zack and to have him taken away like that is absolutely devastating. 6:59 Aerith comforting him in the moment he needs it most is just so sweet and I think it’s what any of us would do in that situation.

And the beginning of the scene, where he's just sat there holding the buster sword, sat there with all his memories, such a young man having to deal with so many tragedies

32:11 - Well, that's a switch! As the first boss in the original Final Fantasy 7, you DON'T want to attack the Guard Scorpion while its tail is raised because it will counter-attack. In this game, the prequel, you HAVE TO attack it while its tail is raised in order to prevent a super move. Nice to see the consistency that Shinra builds into their machines! LOL!

Yeah fighting the roombas isn't fun with the lightning magic. Now story stuff I like how Cissnei just gives out what we assume is classified information on Aerith. Not what you want someone who is an your elite forces doing. Also Zack does in fact have a fan club Cissnei tells you about it in Junon. It's a scene you missed since the game does a poor job of telling the player "Hey if you go here you'll meet Cissnei and get more back story on her." You literally have to go the opposite direction the story is pointing you too.

Zack : *won't stop yappin about his reeeeeaaaal pretty/beautiful guuuurlfreeen to his coworkers ; calls her and yells her name on the phone in the clear light of day" Also Zack when any of the Turks mentions anything about Aerith : "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT ??????" Cissnei's sooo pretty tho. Kinda wished we could've romanced her in this game, just for user experience. But then that wouldn't make sense story-wise. The devs did say Zack was never meant to waver between two girls.

I love that when he was sad, Zack wanted to be in the church with Aerith, more than anywhere else. He found comfort there, and she gave him a hug when he needed it most. It says so much about how much he treasures her companionship.
