Bryce Griffin Very true. It seems that people aren’t willing to accept the games mechanics when it comes to early. Rest, wobbling, gimps, and many other things kill early. Funny how he mentioned getting gimped at zero when zain did that last stock
I'm at least more willing to trust the guy who has puts tons and tons of hours into studying the Marth matchup (even if the way he presents his information is whiny and has a decent amount of bias/frustration towards the matchup) rather than the "Fox is perfect and never loses anything" sheep who have spent 1/100th of the time trying playing the game.
4:28 cmon now leff, you're probs the most knowledgeable fox when it comes to the matchup, but it's obvious that m2k is the guy who knows marth vs fox best
jesus christ this leffen commentary is so hard to listen to. its hard to believe hes one of the top foxes in the world when he just spends the whole set complaining about how fox can do nothing in fox's only even matchup (as opposed to just straight up having the advantage as with every other matchup).
I've come to like, appreciate, and respect Leffen, but crap, his complaining about characters, matchups, and the game make me want to mute the audio sometimes. Seriously, Will, there are tons of matchups that are way, WAY more one-sided than Marth vs Fox, including a ton that heavily favor Fox. Marth gets kills off up-throw on Fox at 70%? Leff, does that not sound familiar? I can stomach Leffen going on and on against Jigglypuff, because while I believe there's enough data to show Puff loses the Fox match-up, even at the highest levels, she can make it extremely taxing for the Fox player. But Marth mains like Zain go in. They scrap, and Zain's success has come from insane practice hitting difficult tech consistently and constantly.
Zains technical skill is great but he's super lucky SFAt wasn't punishing hard. He needs to work on mixup game as he was getting really predictable. (For high level smash, which i am not part of)
EgoRiot One thing I am noticing is he always dairs right before land after he's been hit upwards real high. Even with L cancel, that move it laggy and can be easily punished.
Didn't realize this set had Fire commentary. They switched in Mango and Leffen at about 2:45. I unnecessarily watched the whole set on mute cuz I saw hword and the guy who thinks for him. Also: Let's go Zain!
