Lady... You are a great interviewer. You really got some amazing responses out of Zakk, who is an influence of mine and I learned some things I didn't know. Very professional job. Thanks.
Nowadays? We’ve been repping Randy for decades I think you mean it’s sad that ppl just now are realizing this 😬 And even then I have no idea what you’re talking about since everyone listens to rap and rap and rap, and more rap…
People rip on the album now, but I bought "No Rest For The Wicked" the week it came out after hearing snippets of it on a syndicated radio program called "Metal Shop" way back in 1988. Zakk doing his now signature harmonic squeals, and solos that were damn near Slayer speed, but they were melodic as hell. There was nothing like it at the time. I was an instant fan. His absolute refusal to take himself serious is something a lot of us can learn from.
Damn rite CFH4L Stronger Than All Getcha Pull. Rock in power Dimebag and Vinnie. I have a Dimebag tattoo and a Pantera prosthetic leg it has all the band members on my leg.
I have played guitar since I was 14. I judge a guitarist on how passionate their playing is and how they connect with their fingers. Zakk was brilliant at this from the beginning.
Zakk is a real Class Act ,, He’s spot on with the Black Label Family - connection with People. I’m from Boston and meet so many different people at the shows and we all connect. The New Album. DOOM CREW INC. is Killer ! See u at the next show Zakk - JD - Dario - Jeff and the DOOM CREW

I was at the BLS show at Washington County Fairgrounds (2009, IIRC) before Zakk went into the hospital in Eugene OR - Mitch Lucker was still alive at that show, as well. We heard about Zakk having "pantyhose" (his words) installed shortly thereafter; we thought it was a prank for a hot second. Wish it would have been.
The Dime and Vinnie part reminds me moreso of being 'in the moment'. Seems to be Dime's MO. Stop living in the past or future and just...live. Sounds easy, but not so much in the everydayness of life.
this was awesome! Thanks for posting. He is a huge inspiration for me. All he ever does is big up other players, but his talent across acoustic and electric is near unmatched.
I mean we made out of metal but unfortunately I’m not really made out of metal I was building a retaining wall and I finish cutting a post and I had the grinder in my hand and I got interrupted someone said something and I had to grind on my hand and I answered but I put the grinder to my thigh this was a while back and no sparks bro just blood and all this time I thought I was made out of metal
Definitely among one of the most serious and amazing interviews Zakk has ever given. Very down to earth as usual, love the passion he puts into anything and also the way he as public person encourages anyone no matter how young or old one is to start pursuing and achieving whatever one's call really stands. I can say for sure knowing Black Label Society more in depth prevented or probably saved me from depression and a tough time I went through.
I noticed Elton John is really motivating for dark heavy song writers,"example"... Jerry Cantrell!!... Zakk... I think thats great to absorb all kinds of different influence!!.. My best friend growing up "Mike 13", "made it to the big leagues "His passion for guitar left him working at a diner in Manhasset L.I,and liw and behold..."LL cool J came in,and Mike gave him his demo!!!... The rest is history....he used to steal my mioms "strange wig" collection.. the ones with llong blond hair....put it on,and walk the neighborhood with his Gibson Les Paul Custom"trying to mimick his hero!!!... Ha,!!!.... "Score 1:for the underdog"!!!
Bridge to Cross, New Religion, Won't Find it Here, Queen of Sorrow, Shades of Gray, Fields of Forgiveness, Layne ... give those songs a listen ... maybe it'll change your mind of the band
Dude stop with this kind of shit. Zakk is more than skilled enough to pull this off. Of course he won't sound exactly like Dime, and I personally wouldn't want him to. I don't think there are as many "concerns" that you think there are. It's just ridiculous to even question this.
Goddamnit Zach you’re making me hungry talking about all these flavour and I’m struggling Did you hear what she said especially is somebody like Aussie goddamnit he’s such a lucky man
Thank you Zakk for your contribution to music. Some songs I rock out to some I cry to. No shame. Crazy though I've seen Ozzy 4 times and Black Sabbath in 1999..I've never seen you play with The Man. But did see you at Ozzfest in 2010. My friends were drinking while I was watching. Thank you Cardinal Zakk!!
I know what you mean Zach online is going a bit crazy with his Redhead I just can’t stop watching I’m fully embracing it and swallowing it you’re right it’s in our blood
Zack Wylde is not relative to a viking or a berserker. You just assumed just because of his beard. Hell, Lars Ulrich has more real norse blood in him than Zack could ever have.
Oh sorry that was meant to be when there’s red there is no options don’t worry about going around that brick wall just ran straight through it if you go quick enough it should leave the shape of the body perfectly straight through and pounce
Remember zakk and Ozzy met when zakk was way young, and zakks parents died when he was young they were older of course ozzy and Sharon are like his parent
I agree it’s like learning a song he just do it and just keep playing it and playing until it’s done just gotta smash it there’s no other way and you when you’re in the red goddamnit boy do you smash it
I know how annoying is it but you stop for two years tomorrow that’s all it takes to forget about the drink After four years it will stop bothering you that we’re not made out of metal
...... 😊..... "AMEN".. in our D. N. A..... I had" one" (literally one) student, who was willing to learn guitar a few years back, and she touched me, in such a deep place inside, I cry shamelessly when she sends me newest recordings... Last one I heard a nod to "me"!!!.. "you believe it!!!..." I feel fulfilled and satisfied for life with this one!!! She has old-school qualities and sees me better than I see myself ! "Zakk Wylde" "hail"... "haIL"... "HAIL"!!! 🤗
Zakk is freaking badass. He's definitely in my top 5 guitarists, has been a big influence in my guitar playing of 33yrs. Everything he has said in this interview is straight up facts of life. I would freaking love to one day meet and jam with him. KEEP ON ROCKING!
Anyone who frequented the Valencia Room back in the day could end up front row when Zack would jump on stage with the house band and shred. He would often show up with the base player from White Lion and sometimes with his manager. I sat there drinking with him on several occasions on the nights he didn't play. Always a straight forward homie. Cool dude.
I hear Zach Wilde all of those bands and we get The privilege to explore and listen to it all and even the old stuff is still modern I mean that stuff will never go out of date and you with Aussie and Black Sabbath there’s nothing like it and the blues and allsorts of stuff I’ve got such a great music vocabulary and it’s only growing I’ve watched your videos many times they are crazy you’re so awesome Zach forever a superstar you are a legend and what a great video interview great to hear from you and I can’t believe your life in the most craziest bands It’s just mine blowing your legend Zach I’ll say it again you’re a legend
