I like how composed he is despite him revealing how horrifying the state of the economy is. He is not scared to face the hurdles ahead. This gives me hope for my country . All the best Bally
Dear Mr President, I was raised in Zambia from 3yrs to 19 yrs old in exile from SA with my parents and siblings. Please promise me that you will will get rid of China and parasite companies like Anglo. Your job is to create a climate for investment which will enable jobs. Your people/my people deserve opportunities. Zambia is so close to my heart and it could be the breadbasket of Africa with resources, tourism, abundant rivers and lakes, fertile soil.
This President sounds promising to Zambians and African. I believe and trust he is going to do wonders. Great things for Zambians. Keep your words mr President. God bless you.
Unfortunately that's not the case. This man is a typical case an African story teller . He does the opposite of what he says. Infact he has taken advantage of most of your itching ears.
As a first time Zambian voter I can say my vote was very much worth it because our President is like no other. Very articulate and knowledgeable, listening to him is listening to someone that know what he's talking about. God bless him and his family as he leads our country. Proud of our President! Proud to be Zambian!
lungu was weak and looked cowardly or seekly, he also appear stupid at times, i would not trust that lawyer to even look after my goats he was incompetent,
@@glambeauty199 It took such a long time of economic devastation and political anguish for us [as Country] to realistic understand that Democracy meant that we the People possess the POWER to usher in the government we want. History has been written with a warning ⚠ especially for future government(s): treat the citizens well and they'll help you stay in Power.
Mr.President you’re on the right start by being bold on the economic, human rights and rules of law may the Almighty God protect, guard and carry u through ur first tenure. ❤️ Liberia 🇱🇷
Dear Mr President. I am a South African currently working in your country. I have worked in many African countries and am pleased to say that I generally find Zambians a very pleasant, friendly and engaging people. I am in the construction industry and was surprised to see how hard working and enthusiastic the locals are with whom I work. Part of my role is to teach and train the workers and they are extremely keen to learn. I wish there was a decent trade school to train artisans and technicians (I have not seen a trade school yet - I may be wrong, but all the workers I work with are not aware of such a school). A country's bedrock is its artisans and technicians. I believe them to be far more important than having universities spewing out Bachelor of Arts degrees which don't really prepare people for the real world. What Zambia needs is to beef up its infrastructure and to properly maintain it. One example is the extremely poor state of the roads in and around Ndola, which is a key national route, especially for the mining industry. Whomever built the roads did a very poor job and I don't believe that one bit of maintenance has ever been done despite tolls being collected. All the locals I engage with are excited about you being president and they all feel that you are going to make a huge difference. I sincerely hope that your new government won't let the people down as did the previous government. I see so much poverty, but I also see a people with potential and enthusiasm. All the best
Trade schools are there to train artisans etc but the sad part in young boys and girls cannot afford to get into these schools for lack of money. With the introduction of constituency development funds hope many will go to college to gain the necessarily skills.
You have brought a lot of hope to Zambia, southern Africa and Africa as a whole Sir. Please join the new Malawi president and other reformist leaders in Africa. The cancer of crazy and corrupt leadership in Africa MUST be forced into remission. Prayers from Nairobi Kenya.
@@heraldloshi1864 Yes, H.E. Dr Chakwera has missed some steps so far, let's keep faith and hope that he can still deliver on his promises. Salute from Nairobi
@@bridgetmwila1810 well I have news for you.... No one will ever make things right for you. With that mindset you will die in the diaspora. You decide and make things right for yourself. I hope that makes sense
When Mr.Lumumba talked about Magufulification of Africa Hon.Hichilema is going that way. In fact we don't want to lose Zambia, neither any other African country to a foreign power due to overwhelming debts. Its my hope that Mr. Hichilema is a new hope to the new Zambia.
I just love to see his demeanor now, after having been seeing him sad the past years, just knowing that someone sensible is at the helm of Govt makes me sleep well.
@@tumeloastrothunderwalker3333 never lose hope. Our President went through so much to get to where he is today. He fought and fought hard with the backing of his team, supporters and the good people of our beloved Zambia. Not easy at all but finally we are free of the tyrants that were willing to set our beloved country on fire. Zambians are peace loving people on the whole. They saw the dangers of continuing with the PF and kicked them to the curb. They were monsters, dangerous and extremely arrogant.
We need more African leaders like this gentleman who know how the real world functions. I wish he was a Ugandan but I wish him good luck and the best for my zambian brothers and sisters. Congratulations on electing a foreseeing and revolutionary leader
You can see the genuiness on his face. He is also very brave. It takes a real leader to fire the army generals. He mean business. Good luck Mr President.
I love the fact that Mr President emphasizes much on fixing ourselves before we look for other solutions elsewhere, this is something that Africa needs. Let Africa invest more in internal trade, industry creation and self reliance in our continent. Africa is the core and heart of many diverse minerals, these minerals should be utilized within Africa before we export them elsewhere. I'd love to see Mr President working more with other African leaders such as President Paul Kagame.
HH7 is not a politician but a business man. Someone who understands exactly what needs to be done. We are so much in a mess, and yes It will get rocky and probably not achieve certain things right there and then yes, but we will definitely get there 👍🏽 Hichilema is the best person and personally I think will go down as one of the best presidents we’ve 🇿🇲 ever had.
I see he desires to wipe corruption first then put laws in place to help prevent it in the future. Africa 🌍 needs righteousness leaders... Who are honest, have integrity and an excellent servant for Zambia 🇿🇲 and all of Africa 🌍.. Good man...
Let us continue praying for the president, ; he has every Zambian at heart; loves us dearly; looking at he went through, prisons;humiliation,;you name it;;;we sense freedom in air every time he's talking ...his values are divine; integrity, excellency and hardworking; wow what a role model for the new Zambia 🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲
We should thrive to ensure Africa builds it’s own economy through value addition to all our products We should also invest in technology as Africans Africa has a potential tremendous growth
I really love how HH articulates his position on how the zambians should self introspect and the need for accountability. Indeed borrowing should be the last alternative, focus should be to reclaim what has been stollen and siphoned out by corrupt elements.
@@pasinemasatanists9104I dont need to be a zambian to denounce corrupt elements of any nation. Who ever siphoned money from zambia deserves to be exposed so that zambians benefit.
@@fungaimujuru1215 You are ryt Fungai, but what I was just saying is Zambians themselves know better who they are calling corrupt, and the type of corruption they are talking about. Corruption is not all about pocketing money. Even nepotism is corrupt practices. If you know exactly what The President of Zambia is talking about without any attached feelings aligned to your own country, well its up to you.
Wow devolution indeed empowering of local constituencies...What an abundance of fresh air for zambians..he is so informed and so firm ..his plan couldn't be more assuring . the republic chose with wisdom..
Our President is Solid, I have been sleeping well since he became President. I only pray that he comes up with deliberate policies to raising leaders, patriotic and have a love for Mother Zambia at Heart. This should actually be part of his strategic plan not only for the UPND but the nation as a whole.
@patience Implementation of devolution powers would bring large scale fraud and corruption into the system. The Chinese debt trap Road and Belt initiative has to go completely it’s a drain to financial systems in poor third world countries. The price of copper is determined by the Chinese paid in large cash suitcases to the previous Lungu administration , Fresh fish in Kafue bought and paid for to feed Chinese in their homeland as a result Zambia fisheries relying on crumbs
Am proud of the people who voted for him. They made the right choice it seems, best interview of a president I have ever watched so far.Wishing the Zambian nation the best.
So refreshing! A man with a plan and ambitions in Africa. Can only wish him success for the people of Zambia. To my Zambian brothers and sisters, he will need your support. He's the kind of leader the west despies so watch out for him.
Great Leader all the best Mr President you are so focused very transparent am praying for hardworking and people entered support Teams to assist you deliver the Country Goals 👏👏
In Africa, we have have politicians that said great things but to implement them that have always been the problem. We are waiting to see what he can do.
Open Letter to young Zambians all the way from UK 🇬🇧 , rally behind the President, rebuild the Nation. You will have made history, His tenure in Office is an opportunity which should not be wasted. Such leaders take long to surface in Africa. I wish the President and all Zambians good health and future economic prosperity.
We from neighboring countries support you and hope you will set an example in the political field for not only Zambia but SADC and Africa at large. God bless you
H.E has a plan for Zambia and is aware of what is going on in all angles of the country. I can proudly say, Zambia is safe🙏🙏 Viva Youth Power Truth be told if our elders had turned out in numbers to vote unlike we youths, Zambia would have continued swaying in a wrong direction.
I like your speeches, sir.May God bless you with more wisdom to manage, especially, the human resources of our country. I am ready to support in any way that will bring my motherland to better levels. London,Uk

As a young graduate and ACCA student, this gives me hope. Zambia needed change, Zambia needed direction and competent leadership. The last 7 years have been nonsensical.
How were Zambians blindfolded not to see this outstanding leader for six consecutive presidential elections? ? Now you could be at par with South Korea.
In any country, if you STOP the corruption, especially at the top, you will fix the economy very quickly. I wish you the best in your endevours to establish a zero tolerance. I see great things ahead for Zambia.
Our great nation is in good hands now, I believe and trust my vote didn't gone to vein, HH is on top of it all he had a dream and solution to it and here comes the reality with these solutions been applied
I like this president of Zambia, he is smart ,he knows what he is talking about , he isn't a politician but a leader rather. Zambia is an exhibit for what we want to see in Africa , especially my home country Zimbabwe. I envy Zambia.
This is POWERFUL. I'm looking to move to Zambia from America because, of the new kind of STRONG BLACK POWER AFRIKAN PRESIDENT. He seem to be following the vision of President Magufuli (R.I.P.) ❤🖤💚✊🏿
Mr President you're the new Broome we Zambians have been desperately waiting for to sweep the long overdue mess .HH may God work with you who has given us you our viable credible vibrant leader .
It is absolutely appalling that we have our hardworking healthcare workers looking for PPE in Zambia ,whilst there were people flying here to the UK for the weekend , wining, dining and shopping with public funds that could be used in the healthcare sector. I pray for a massive change and improvement in healthcare services in Zambia. 🙏🙏
Same thing happening here in South Africa. Politicians and their cadres living the high luxury life while our farms are burning and our people are starving. The ANC party and the government have looted everything and still they can't stop. They can't pay the staff and soon there will be no more money for the government grants. Then they will hop onto planes and run away just like our president did when the mobs were rioting and looting in the streets of Gauteng and KZN
