Zamboni season full swing lol.. they aren’t that bad on the ice. The blades don’t cut the ice like hockey skates. The group also dumps buckets of water through out the rental on the corners.
If you have never participated in short or long track speed skating then you cannot appreciate what exceptional athletes these skaters are. Both long and short course speed skating is all about technique and pain tolerance. Only sports I can think of that makes a person suffer like speed skating is wheelchair racing or competitive rowing. Both these sports quickly "cull out" those individuals who have poor pain tolerance or poor technique.
