Meet one of the favorites to the Kentucky Derby 2022 Zandon: Owner(s): Jeff Drown Trainer: Chad C. Brown Bred: Kentucky (USA) by Brereton C. Jones Pedigree: Upstart - Memories Prevail by Creative Cause
Fishing :)) is ALWAYS "Good"! Even when you don't Land One, you still get the Air, Nature, the "feel of" the water, and an idea how many are "running" ;)
The Kentucky Derby is the biggest race of the year, but look at history; how many times a favorite has won with a 20 horse field. let’s see how he runs from behind; good luck, because White Abarrio is going to win🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎👋🏿👋🏿👋🏿👋🏿
Coming from behind against 9-12 horses and most all those horses are not Top Quality is one thing. Racing against 20 horses where at least 10 are very good is another. Zandon is not a very good starter. He's slow over the first 50m or so, Drawn 10th spot is going to put him almost at the back as there's horses outside of him that break fast. if the pace is quick, which it should be he not going to get back up late. He gained no ground against Epicenter when trying to come from behind.
@@penelopelopez8296 Gato Del Sol won the Derby at 21-1 beating a few really good horses, I don't know where he finished in the Preakness but he didn't win then ran a distant 2nd in the Belmont. Conqistador Cielo tried to do a Secretariat and won by about 20 lengths.
Zandon needs the crop near the last stretch. Never saw Messier need the crop. Epicenter is a happy boy. Zandon is ridden too hard. Don’t think the fella has it “in the tank” naturally and with composure.
That’s how it is these days. Keep them in the barn at 2……bring them out at 3 and lightly raced and coddled. That’s what constitutes greatness today….a hand full of races, then off to the breeding shed so they can breed more horses who can only make 6 or7 lifetime starts. Sure makes the horses of 40 years ago or more look even greater….because they were in every way. Secretariat made 9 starts as a 2 year old and 11 starts as a 3 year old….five of those starts we’re against older horses twice on the turf and three times on the dirt. Just to put thing into perspective. Seattle slew ran 6 times at 2 and Affirmed ran about 7 times as a 2 year…..Alydar also. The filly Genuine Risk ran as many times in 1980……so did Winning Colors. It shows how weak and fragile this breed has become. Whoever wins this years derby likely won’t be around for long.
Ran third to Epicenter (not impressive), to a 1:50.35 time (1 1/8). Where are you getting the "strongest" anything from this horse? I call BS and will not have him in the money.
I am unimpressed with mo and zandon they get in trouble or start to late epicenter and or tabia will be checking out the race zandon had against epicenter showed epicenters rider didn't hardly use the whip just popped him on the turn and hand rode him horse had a whole lot left tabia is kind of hard to figure out off of just two races but in those two he looked great
Thank goodness the derby is not run at Santa Anita or Del Mar. but that’s coming. The west coast has stolen the breeders cup. Give it a few years….they’ll steal the derby too.
