On May 22, 2020 just before 9pm Zandra passed away, with her family by her side. Z did all she could to stay here with us as long as she could and was uplifted and strengthened by all of the support and care that everyone has given to her and her family throughout this journey. At the end she knew that the Lord had sent his angels for her but she still yearned to stay among us. She loved you all and knew that you loved her and so she fought until the end. May she pray for us in heaven as we all grieve and struggle to find meaning in this senseless loss.
Remember her for the beauty that radiated from her soul. Remember her for her sense of humor and her incredible smile. Remember her for her personality and faith. Remember her for being your friend, your sister, your daughter, your cousin, your niece, your granddaughter, your BFF, your teammate, your inspiration, your heart.
Nothing will erase the pain that her family and we all feel. Her parents and siblings won’t ever “move on”. They will move through - because they have no other path. Love and comfort and tears and prayers are all we have for now - and that is OK. Grieve her loss and cry loudly. Scream her name. Pound your fists. It is not fair. It is not right… it just is. And it hurts. But it hurts because we love - never be ashamed of that.
