I think they mishandled Zane a bit when he turned into Edgy Zane. It's not the premise that's bad but rather the execution. Cyberdarks are straight up worse than Cybers, and even the anime has a hard time covering that fact up.
Even with their new support, I'd argue that Cyberdarks are still far behind their Cyber counterparts. They're still too slow, and even when their combo goes off, it's not nearly as devastating as what Cybers can do.

zane was a jerk in this season that would have been jaden try to duel to snap him out of it before its too late that got me angry when i use to like zane when he was a cool cat but not like this
If you watched the full episode then you’d notice that Zane only accepted his duel if they were electrical collars. Every time they took damage they would receive shocks.
