Thank you so much for sharing this. I have the same rifle and after watching your video, I checked the bolt system and it looks like there was allready an attempt to fix this issue from the previous owner, although it's still getting stuck half-way, especially when chambering the first round. Sounds like it's a common issue on these rifles.
I've got one of these that groups 1.5 moa and after 500 rounds I've never had an issue with aside from the play in the action, which is whatever. Just takes a special touch to operate bolt smoothly
i just got myself a LKM85 7.62x39 , watched this video- good vid. i checked my lug, it has also been modofied a little i would believe.. it cycles good. nice rifles..
I have had one of these for years, but have only fired a few rounds through it of 64 grain target ammo I had left from previous gun, non of which groups, as its obvious it's their grain weight what ammo did you settle on and did you go with 50 or 55 grain bullets? Ps I'm a lefty to 😊
Great video. I’ve been looking around for a replacement follower spring for my m85 in 7.62x39 and I can’t find one anywhere. Would you happen to know where to find a spring that would be compatible?
I think you can make just about any "short action" follower spring fit. But you probably need to grind at least one end of the spring a little narrower to slide into the slot on the bottom of the follower plate. If this advice ends up costing you $30.00, I'm sorry. It's been a long time.
I had one of these and it was a total p.o.s. Mine did the same thing and it didn’t group worth a damn. Extractor has a sharp edge that was cutting into the rim of the ammo when closing bolt. Dremel on the sharp edge of extractor and it was fixed. It was definitely an extractor issue but I fixed it. Never shot worth a damn and never fed right. I polished everything I could but still wasn’t happy with it. Recrowned it and it still wouldn’t shoot. Got rid of it and got a CZ. Should have just got the CZ to begin with. Oh well.
