As promised, here is our FIRST preview video that teases the upcoming smartphone RPG "Friends of Eternal Bonds"... completely and meticulously scanlated into English! The original video can be found here, reposted by Anime Dogfin Gamer!

DISCLAIMER: Please note that pretty much ALL English text in this video was fan-made, and at the time this video was released, we have no confirmation at all as to whether it will have support for languages other than Japanese.

LETS GO! we've the old voice actors voicing the characters! this means if zatch bell anime gets a reboot or if the sequel gets animated we'll have these old actors!

I adore Zatch Bell to death, it's one of my favorite lesser known series in all of anime and manga, but I just can't imagine this gacha game is going to last a long time. Bigger series like Shaman King and Attack on Titan have had mobile games that also failed after about a year of time. I can't imagine how much longer this game will last in particular.

Oh, I don't expect any new gacha game to last longer than a year. But I've made peace with that and I'm still excited for a whole YEAR full of new Zatch Bell gaming content in the meantime :) Sometimes people lose sight of just how long a YEAR really is.

@@Sara3346 It certainly does, and the gameplay seems MUCH more user-friendly for people who can't quite read the Japanese text. You're just clearing hordes of enemies and raising your mamodo like Sims... gotta love the charm of it all! :D

@@Gameorama91 Fair in a literal sense sure. But one manga publishing on its own isn't really a franchise returning ao much as one piece of media. Stuff like this even if it turns out not to be great prove people are investing in Gash Bell beyond just Raiko and his publishers. That said it was very early in the morning for me and I did overlook it. I love this foil for Zach and Kyo though, with Hyde presumably still needing to learn not to treat everything like it's Russian Roulette and EIDO hopefully learning that being more serious isn't enough in a scenario like this. The two could use some allies. Even Xeno ultimately yoked some people to his cause, numbers change a great deal. And if not at least we might get to see them actually fail on screen instead which would still be a treat.

Yeah! I had butterflies when I saw Hyde and Eido's artwork and then the Japanese text appear in front of it.... I wondered what on EARTH they were planning to do with Hyde and Eido, but then I realized that it was just a way to show where they plan to start the story, unlike how it was in the manga. It's very safe to assume that the anime is where they'll be basing the story from... in fact, there's even a better than even chance that filler mamodo from the 2 filler arcs might even make it into the game based on this fact alone!

This is amazing I love the graphics! Thank you so much for translating and sharing this! I still can't believe my childhood finally came back after all these years! I'm glad they still have the same voices, especially for gash, I can't imagine any other voice for him, I know he's an adult now in the sequel but I still can't imagine him in another voice. Hopefully, with this, increases the chances of a possible anime remake are a bit higher but I'll try not to get my hopes up XD I just hope I can download the game when it releases, will this game follow the old anime or the manga? Since the old anime got cancelled I was wondering if they will follow the events of the manga instead?

You're welcome! I think Toei's releasing this as a 20th anniversary commemoration, but if its reception exceeds their expectations enough, they'd have to be crazy not to put in the work to properly finish the story in a new anime production of some kind. When it releases, the game should be available on the BlueStacks Android emulator. I'll make a video guide on how all that works when the time comes, but it seems to require IOS 10.0 or higher, so that MIGHT be the only tricky thing about it. But like I said, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. The game appears to be following the old anime just like Golden Memories did... I'm not sure what this could mean for any potential manga-only content, but it's boasting a new story that seems to feature side characters as the boss battles and unique little minions as the horde battles.

@@XZatchBellGamerXOk thank you! I agree, this would be the perfect opportunity for some kind of remake with the sequel happening and the game. Maybe if they do not want to remake every single episode, they could also do something like an OVA or even a movie if they wanted to; but hopefully, if the game does well enough, they might remake the series. I'll definitely try to download this, hopefully, I can where I live. I was hoping this would follow the manga, but I'll still play this game! It would be so cool if the battle system were similar to Golden Memories! I just love the art style in this new game and I'm so excited XD

Right now, the only way is to use Google Lens as an on-screen translator after you're downloaded it to an emulator. I still plan to release more gameplay in the coming weeks, but all of the Zatch Bell manga content coming out recently has been taking priority.

The closed beta test begins in October, and the game is set for release sometime before the end of this year! Seems like a good chance that it'll be ready around Christmas time, but we'll have to see!
