After all this time, I’m still confused on why Zatch Bell got canceled! I mean it had a great plot, great characters, and great soundtracks! Why cancel it?!
OH MY GOD, YOU ACTUALLY RELEASED THE OTHER VARIANT OF LOVE PREVAILS!!!!!! THIS is the one that was playing for Laila! And Sherry with Koko! Love Prevails seemed to be the one that played when Sherry realized that the nightmare was finally over and she was overcome with emotion from having Koko back after all that time... This track is SO hauntingly beautiful..... THIS is the one that replaced the insert songs that had lyrics and vocals, and for good reason because it's a bone-chilling gem! From the beginning where it feels like someone is wandering aimlessly in the dark, lost and afraid.... to when it softens into a feeling of warmth and hope, reassuring you that you're never alone... Then it just jumps into a flawless tune that tells you everything's going to be all right and that hope shines through! All of a sudden, those soothing xylophones, or maybe bells, give you a feeling of much-needed comfort as it all comes down to one final crescendo of heroic splendor! Then comes the surprise I'm sure a lot of us weren't expecting! The track returns us to the stark reality that the storm isn't over yet... and that if we're going to see this through, we need to overcome one last hurdle standing in our way. It may be the best television music cue that I think I've ever heard in my life.... Zatch Bell is an amazing series, but this is just on another level!
What a perfection! Certainly the soundtracks by Viz Media, which was distributed here in the West, are Zatch Bell's best. I recently finished a project for this amazing anime, which used all 104 episodes of the Viz Media version. As I am Brazilian, I preferred the Brazilian dubbing which was 01-52, after 53-78, I used the Spanish dubbing, and finally, 79-104, the North American dubbing. Obviously I'm talking about the primary audio, because the episodes are in dual audio, with the Japanese audio of secondary audio and with the softsub pt-br subtitles included. The first version of the project has been finished, but I'm working on a second one, which will have pt-br and en subtitles included. I did all this to preserve the Viz Media version, and the videos with the BD version, best video quality available. When I did my searches for the audios, the episodes dubbed in English have videos recorded from the time the work was shown on TVs, so it's hard to find the BD version with the Viz version. I did all this for the love of the work, and I would like all fans to enjoy it.
@@Antonio-vb1vq Are you talking about the subtitles? If you have a font that already has softsub subtitles ready in Italian, if you give me the font and you want to pass it to me, I can include the subtitles. Now the dubbing doesn't pay me to do it, because I'm Brazilian, and this work of getting different dubbings and synchronizing with the original raw of the work that was dubbed, it's a lot of work, like a lot, and I only do it in my time free, and I do not and will not gain anything for it. I only concluded because I'm a big fan of the work, it's one of my favorite animes, and the soundtrack by viz media brings me nostalgia, because it reminds me of the time I watched Zatch Bell on TV, when I was still a kid, back in 2008, when they were shown on open TV here in Brazil. I started this project last year, and I've only just finished it with the audios I mentioned (preserving all available episodes that have viz media version: 001-104).
@@Antonio-vb1vq In Brazil, only 001-052 episodes were dubbed, so the first 52 are in pt-br. The Spanish dub went further, because they dubbed up to episode 078, so from 053-078 I used the Spanish dub (because it's similar to Portuguese, and I prefer this dub over the North American dub), hence the rest of the dub of the version viz, which is up to 104, I used the North American dub, 079-104.
Actually, I'm really curious if he would have those... Because these are all his unique compositions for the score, but Megumi's music was the instrumental of an existing Japanese track.... so would he be the keeper of that audio, or would it just count as voice lines that were mixed with the Japanese track of the episodes??
@@XZatchBellGamerX that's a good point. In that case, I wonder if it's somehow possible to remove the talking over the song in the episode to hear the lyrics clearer? Like with an audio program or something. I might ask my brother if he knows some way to do that since he has a degree in audio.

I've tried for so many years to make out the lyrics myself but just couldn't. haha :') I think "Happy Tomorrow"/"We Did It Together" might have been the only song to have dialogue over it if i recall, which is a shame since it's a really nice song in both versions and we only hear it that one time unfortunately
@@SerenitySpiderMonkey Glad I could help! I admit, when Kiyo was reading the note in his pocket, I had to replay that several times to hear what was being sung. I finally put it together when I tried to pay attention to what the song was saying instead of just what I was hearing. I think Happy Tomorrow plays one more time, but compressed, in the final episode that got dubbed when they listen to it on CD in Sunbeam's apartment. I'm guessing that Viz basically went back to their master project file of episode 15, grabbed Kate Higgins' recording of her singing the song, compressed it, and then layered it on top of the Japanese instrumental track that they would've already had in episode 104.
That's a lot for us to ask though, there's definitely over 100 of them.... Instead, we should be supporting him by showing Viz Media that we want an official soundtrack release! Then he'd be able to comfortably release them all!!! :D
