I enjoyed Zayn's vocals in the band. As a solo artist it's not in my wheelhouse. He is a good person. I do understand what you are saying Nathan. You aren't saying he's a bad person! People misunderstand what you are saying. You aren't stereotyping, but you are talking on average about what you experienced. Average doesn't mean 100%. Average might be 95% and the rest falling into the other 5%. Zayn is an awesome singer.... Liam gets under appreciated in that tho. He took over Zayn's high notes on the performances after Zayn left them mid-tour. I know Zayn did what he had to do for him. Doesn't mean they weren't good without him. I still thought they were incredible! I do enjoy a few of Zayn's songs. But overall it's not my cup of tea and I get that it's not for everyone. I wish him well. I love this channel because you guys are true to yourselves and don't go with the flow. I really appreciate that. It's ok to disagree. We're not clones and it's great to be different! 🎵😎🎵

This is not about zayn but judging someone on the basis of their introvert nature ( or the fact that they are a little shy and quiet ) and basically generalizing them as the kids who don't treat girls right ( judging their character) is just so wrong. I am an introvert. I tend to remain quiet and that does not make me or anyone for that matter a bad person. And here in this case applying that as a reason to not like his music is completely senseless. You don't like his music then fair we respect it. But going on his personality analysis on the basis of 1 or 2 music videos and short 10-15 seconds of cut down clips you should start a personality analyzing channel instead. You probably shouldn't react to more of his stuff bcuz u have this pre conceived notion of him and that's not going to help anything.

damnnn didn't even watch interviews.. know nothing about him.. just judged him jerk and getting away after ill-treating woman based on what he is like during performances... great... like could it be due to anxiety? and judged other guys are good just cause they are extroverts and smiley??? i feel sorry for the kids who get judged by you... and so sick of people still salty over him leaving the band commenting just media bullshits about him which he had time and time denied and every time proved him to be correct.... him leaving the band for mental health and stating the struggles he faced everyone called him asshole.. and when the other boys said the same thing they sympathized... again the same rumor that zayn broke up with perrie over text... zayn denied it.. little mix official page liked the article.. and then just before little mix released the song they remembered he actually did it.. while liam is accused of cheating on his fiancé it again fades away quite easily then him being shitted on for his fight with louis when they both equally fought and liam talking 10 times more shit gets a pass with just a slap on his wrist.. louis and zayn both smoke weed and only zayn gets roasted for that.. How much stuffs the other four boys do and get away with it simply screams of white privilege.. and unlike others zayn is extremely inactive... from the last 2/3 years he neither defends himself nor says anything about anyone unlike the other 4 boys and still gets shit thrown on him just for being quiet is ridiculous... probably should have focused more on jumping and throwing water on stage than singing.. maybe then he would have come across as a nice guy.. sadly he has never been an attention seeker.. doesn't even bother promoting his own work..

Zayn was quite an easy, straightforward kind of guy early on, but the management team decided he would be the 'mysterious' one, the 'cool' one in his leather jackets, etc (there was definitely an element of racism in this). But if you see him in early interviews, he's actually very sweet and funny - in the X-Factor house, the other inmates said he was the funniest member of 1D. He was usually withdrawn on stage - he pretty much hated it and so he mostly looks like he just doesn't want to be there.

imagine admittedly stereotyping people who you have never met and based on singing clips. you are literally judging him on how his physical appearance is, like what?? it’s just a senseless and irrelevant commentary. the fact of the matter is that these clips are all super old and excerpts of when he is mostly singing high notes. how are you supposed to smile while doing that? there are several moments on stage where zayn shows charisma and happiness with the other boys. also the fact that you’re liking negative comments about him that are literally untrue is so weird.

For anyone who is a fan of Zayn's music, please don't pay for a reaction to his art. I don't think they'll connect with Zayn's style.I think the channel creators here connect more to the work of the other members of 1D. It's like, I don't care for Jazz and wouldn't react to anybody's work in that genre because it's not my jam. I feel it's the same here. As fans we know the brilliance of Zayn's body of work and in my opinion don't need anyone to validate that.🙏🏽

He has a great voice and a great range, I really love a few of his solo songs but overall I gravitate more towards the genre and tone of someone like Louis. But Zayn is definitely insanely talented, as Louis recently said in an interview "he's a different caliber in terms of singing." I think his solo music really fits into the genres he authentically likes and has always wanted to explore creatively, which is nice to see, and I really appreciate that even if it's not all to my taste.

One thing is for sure, you guys did something really different lol! First time a vocal reaction gets turned into a personality analysis 🤡 And judging by the comments you guys have found your audience. Bitter One directioners, that can’t and will never move on.

Wow I'm in my late 30's and I did a alot of research on Zayn and his music before coming to any conclusions, something which you two might want to explore, because quite frankly you both are misrepresentating Zayn as a person. Your biases are showing and maybe even a hint of racism? You both have no respect for Zayn because if you did you would have equal amounts of video reviews about him as you do with Harry, Niall and louis. To judge someone by reviewing only 1 or 2 videos of them is clearly showing your biases. It's very disappointing. I initially found your channel because I am a huge fan of Harry's, and the reviews you did on Harry were great and insightful. But I am also a fan of Zayn's and was shocked to see very little coverage of him on your channel, and what you did cover was mostly negative. Zayn is completely misunderstood. Zayn has said in his interviews that he doesn't want to be boxed into any genre. He's recently started doing rap, like he's open to anything. Also stereotyping Zayn as being someone who treats women badly is disgusting and society has tried to mold that image into him right from a little boy. The same happened to Harry at 16 years old, adults were calling him a womaniser, just absolutely disgusting as these kids were just trying to navigate and find their way. Also, you failed to mention that Harry has done questionable things e.g., have an affair with Olivia Wilde, but I don't see you making assumptions about that side of his character? But it's okay to put zayn in this "bad boy" category? Isnt it better to not judge a book by its cover, because you don't know the whole story?! I don't have any issues with you not being into zayn's style of music, everyone has a preference, but I find it distasteful that you have come to such conclusions about his character based on 1 or 2 videos, which just makes you look biased and racist. I mean come on, propping up 3 white boys (harry, Niall, Louis) and their music, and kicking down the brown one. I'm just saying, it doesn't make you look credible, and some people may not take your channel seriously, and I'm thinking more subscribers mean more money? Also, I've listened to Louis' music, it's really nothing special and his vocals were the weakest in one direction. I like Louis as a person (he's been through alot with his mum's and sister's death) , I think he is beautiful but his music unfortunately doesn't do it for me. I like some of Niall's music (especiallythe comedy in his MV), and love him as a person. I would say one direction started off with Liam being the lead vocalists and that all changed when Harry and Zayn started producing equally strong vocals. In terms of vocal versatility Liam and Zayn have the best voices and Harry is not far behind, then Niall and louis following. Liam has an amazing voice but unfortunately his music doesn't live up to his potentials. Now I've come to these conclusions based on the fact that I have reviewed videos of them all equally. I have far more respect for channels that do their own extensive research, because that way I can then see that they have given a fair representation to each musician.

you guys liking comments where ppl trash talk zayn and answering bitterly to fans who try to defend him after following his journey for a decade or so (and most probably having a better notion of what kind of person he is since there is an extensive amount of info about all of the 1d guys) truly shows that not only the fans are bitter here lmao. and of fcking course his fans will shout at you in the comments after you judge his personality by a vocal montage ? that's ppl reacting to your reactions like you would think you were prepared for something like that when doing reactions on yt. what is the weirdest part for me though is you saying you also suffer from anxiety and then not being able to connect two plus two since you know that he did as well and you are also aware of the solo music he makes and that it is a different style as they made as a band. like yeah, thousands of people suffer from anxiety, but only a few have it AND grow up in an environment like zayn did plus having minimum creative input to the music you have to perform every night in sold out stadiums. people are not mad cause you don't like his music or connect with his performance skills, but because you did have that background information and still did that whole comparison to harry and niall and louis who clearly had different journeys in the band and also are in different mental states (there is a reason why zayn doesn't perform live anymore). just lack of empathy when you comment stuff hits people differently ya know.

19:30 yeah something is missing bcuz u saw the other guys perform their OWN songs. Wether it was in their solo career or the songs THEY wrote in the band....they resonated with those songs and zayn didn't. That was the whole point of him leaving the band that he didn't feel the music. And you have no options in his solo to make comparisons to. You have seen him perform songs that are personal to him. So u may not like his music and I respect that but that point was invalid.

Love listening to your reactions also your maturity being a factor with honest feedback. I’ve followed the lads for a couple of years and their solo work. I have a son a few years older than Louis and can’t imagine him having to go through what they did at that young age. It surprises me how well they have come through it all, admittedly some better than others.

He was definitely the best singer in the group. after he left, the group just went downhill which was no surprise but thank god he left.

About that "we don't hate anybody...well" It just accored to me that you might wanna see what people are saying about Harry, so I just need to tell you that currently tis fandom goes through a weird phase and some fans are spreading a bunch of lies about Harry (ot of boredom or out of dissapointment that he didn't live up to their made up theories). I call it a phase because people still consider themselves fans but in fact they're no longer those, it will take some time for them to realize it and leave. Meanwhile they spread baseless roumors about how he's rude and demanding and stff, and he couldn't be more opposite of those people say. Everybody who met him in real life were impressed by how down to earth genuine person he is so if you think of "Harry's bad bc his friends are bad", please, check the sources (they're always "dude trust me" ones) and check for alternative opinion as well, because real people have nothing but great experience meeting Harry))

I’m like you. I appreciate his talent and vocal abilities there’s no question about that but his music isn’t my cup of tea generally. I don’t mind it if it comes on randomly as part of a playlist for example but I won’t seek it out on my own. As for his character I don’t know enough about him to have an opinion but he seemed like a sweet albeit reserved guy in the 1D days.

You are not far off. He had to leave one direction because of anxiety but it didn't effect him when he was a solo artist but he doesn't do tours because of his anxiety. When the boys are harmonising he seems to hijack the song to do his vocal acrobatics but he suffers from anxiety. It just doesn't add up for me.

If you'd have stuck to reacting to his vocals this wouldn't be an issue. You can't then put judgement on a kid anything from 8-13 years ago and say that's his personality. You really don't have any idea what you're talking about other than maybe what his singing is like.

In total agreement with you guys. A great voice with no personality on stage is very boring. Zayn has a beautiful voice but it never fit the 1D sound, especially as it got more rock. I will fall on my sword however that he was not the *best* voice in the group though. Once Zayn left, Liam took the high notes and Harry took the big, belty ones. It was still gorgeous and actually made more sense. Their last album is great and the vocals do not suffer without him.

Yes Zayn was a Jerk for sure. He wasn't easy to please and he surely turned out to be a huge disappointment and almost a matter of embarrassment for the Rest of the Boys when He Left the Band but also talked so much Shit about the Band. And now 6 Years Later He has started posting Covers of One Direction Songs on His Instagram!!!!

Zayn is (or was) one of those guys. He broke up with his fiancée Perrie Edwards (famous singer) over a text message. They were together for four years and engaged for two. Sure they were young, but quite a dick move. The way he left 1D and talked shit about 1D afterwards was rotten too. I think he’s grown into a better young man now and I root for him but all this to say, you guys are on the effen money with ur feelings about Zayn… Also I was a social worker with teens 😉

I agree with all your comments, 1D was made up of 5 brilliant voices, they had the very best writers and producers(I know they started writing more as the band went on ) and a lot of money to get them going, I own all their albums, even their early ones 🤣their harmonising is 2nd to none, BUT Zayn to me was the weakest live, the more you watch live songs and I mean touring, the more you hear Zayn can't carry his notes for long before he goes out of tune, Liam was very often backing Zayn's high notes, I love Zayn's voice on studio versions, I know lots of people won't like me saying it but I was cringing at his solo clips.

It used to annoy me how Zayn's voice too often over-road the other vocals like they were always his backing singers. He's a good soloist bet should never have been in a band. Also he seems to have not much personality he uses other people's personality. When he was friends with Louis he seemed a bit better. Personally I think it's more than anxiety I think he's a narcissist and he get crabby when he isn't getting what he wants. Especially the people he wants. As a solo singer he's great.

Nathan you are right. Zayn was difficult and weird and almost impossible sometimes to understand. But one thing is for sure. He didn't had a sense of loyalty and brotherhood and that sense of companionship that the rest of the boys shared. He talked so much shit about the Band when he left.
