Salut! Nice rifle and shooting as always. Your low groupings are typical for commercial PPU 8mm mauser which is underloaded at about 2200fps when period military 8mm was around 2500 to prevent any issues from people shooting it in older 8mm rifles with .318 bores.

True keeper. the feeding and ejection is outstanding. the way a mauser action is supposed to eject !! as a younger man (I'm 77) I could also go through a box or two of ammo at the range shooting rifles with steel buttplates. But those days have long passed. I just don't enjoy that kind of punishment any longer lol. Just a suggestion of course, but I would come up one notch on the rear ladder at 100 meters get on paper. Just too much guess work after all, that's what the rear "adjustable" sight is for lol. Outstanding groups with open sights. thanks for sharing.

Like another viewer mentioned: PPU is underpowered 8x57 ammunition. So that could be effecting bullet impact. Sellier and Bellot 8x57 cartridges have a muzzle velocity that is much closer to the original load. Love the channel! I look forward to more from this series.

Wow very nice Romanian vz24. I plan on buying one as well, I want a rifle that’s part of romanias history. How did you get this, did you have to go through an auction, I see most of these are only found at auctions. Are you in the US?
