Ze frank is a social genius. He made every one comforable by making them uncomforable as a joke then kept making them laugh so they could deal with the heavy part
that's more in the shock humor range. dark humor is something that is painful but is made light of, shock humor is something that is a tragedy/controversial and is made light of
I'm going to reach out to Waze and ask them to add "Ze frank" to their list of navigation voices. I've been using "boy band" as my preferred voice on Waze since 2012, but I would gladly switch to Ze frank if that was an option lol.
_Have you ever woken up, blissfully, then suddenly been flooded by the awful remembrance that someone had left you? Have you ever lost the ability to imagine a future without a person that no longer was in your life? Have you ever looked back at that moment with a sad smile of autumn and the realization that future will happen regardless?_ *Congratulations, you you have completed the test - you are all human*
and the moment he said those words, the reality of it being what is happening now brought fresh tears and a smile. Thank you. That was beautifully said.
This man is so incredible. For me, it's because he simply is rawly honest with himself and his human state. Our existence is silly, obsurd, painful, lonely and sometimes throws us into a state of bliss. We all see ourselves in him and that is why we love him. For his quirkiness and comedy but also loneliness and pain he is willing to expose.
"Have you ever lost the ability to imagine a future without a person that no longer was in your life? Have you ever looked back on that event with the sad smile of autumn and the realization that futures will happen regardless? ..... Congratulations. You have now completed the test. You are all human." Wow.... That hits deep . Thankyou for depicting the subtle beauty of the travesties in us all
Lol. What's it like to be able to imagine a future for yourself? What's it like to be able to take for granted that there's a future waiting for you, to even get to think further ahead than when your next meal might be, where you'll sleep tomorrow, if you'll wake up tomorrow?
Many people may not realize it, but this is a work of genius, all the questions may be humorous or sad but look at the deeper meaning of them and they are in fact somehow relating to human traits. Ze Frank the absolute genius
In consideration with all the negative views this video is receiving from tradition TED viewers, you have to open your mind to possibilities of the psychological perspective that Zefrank is trying approach here. He incorporates his comedy as a way to introduce possible emotional struggles that every individual may go through at some one in their lives and is trying to bring rise to the awareness if these matters. His main focus is the loss of interest that arises from these issues. He incorporates subliminal messages into each of his videos and speeches with a gentle comic start to a more serious tone afterwards and it works for him. So it might not be the traditional TED video that you all expect but consider the messages that possible psychological he is trying to send.
Comedians w/ his talent for kindness are a divine gift & will be more highly lauded in Heaven than most overly "religious" posers of any belief set. Bet on it!
No negative view here. Comedy is an excellent vehicle and preparation for more serious business. There is nothing about Ze Frank's presentation here that I don't adore.
I think TED talks are given in the spirit of sharing ideas, and the idea for this is helping people feel that they are not alone in experiencing screwups and being imperfect. It's nice to have someone empathise in this manner. If you want to go by the title, this goes under entertainment. So yeah I find this relevant enough to be a TED talk.
I heard an interview with a super centurion who was "celebrating" his 110th birthday. As they always seem to ask such people, they asked what advice did he have for anyone who wanted to live more than 100 years. He said, "Don't." he said that his wife, all of his friend, his children, and now even some of his grandchildren had all passed away. It was pretty clear that he had had enough life to satisfy him and he was now just waiting for the end. It really brought home that old Queen Song, "Who Wants to Live Forever"
This. Every time I see someone claim to want immortality, this is exactly what comes to mind. Imagine, if you can, everything and everyone you know steadily passing into the void of time, while you can only watch and experience it? Yes, you can and will have many moments of joy, but eventually, at some point, you WILL tire of living. But if you cannot die, you will never know true peace.
This is so sad but true. My great grandmother waited for death to come and get her for 11 years. All her brothers and sisters who were younger than her, her husband and even 1 of her grandchildren had already passed away, and she kept asking, why her, why he took the young ones but left her, she should have gone first. This bothered her a lot for the last 11 years (I count eleven years since she first mentioned it to me till her death. ). When she finally passed away, i think she was happy to go. She had an infection in her leg that just wouldn't heal, but she refused amputation or any medical help for it. She said, "I am going to my grave with both my legs." She sounded in a hurry. RIP
Oh god. This right now. He's all but disappeared from life. The last part is really telling. I'm worried about Ze, I actually am going through the same thing exactly he talks about at the end, and it's just so crippling. Losing someone from your life is the worst. Thank you Ze. Wherever you are. Be well.
I'm not sure what the most amazing part of this is. The emotional journey this takes everyone on, that everyone continues raising their hands when it's a hard or sad admission, or the levels of empathy this video inspires.
For those who don't understand or think this video was a waste of time I hope to open your eyes to what I have taken away from this video. Though this video starts off in a silly fashion around 2:35 I see a drastic change it its meaning. at 2:35. I see a change into the begining of relationships how you notice and talk with the person. It then procceds to change into the degradation of the relationship with distrust and arguments. Finally it turns into the ending, rememberance of that relationship, and the moving on.
It is a simple message. Life is full of dumb, stupid, happy, beautiful, sad, and regretful events. We human, experiences ups and downs with our emotions. So don't afraid to admit that.
Thank you, Sir, for your message. I just wanted you to know that you've made a tremendous difference in my life during a difficult time. I love your humor, but I hear your important message inside of it.
I’m a little late to this video, but I left with tears hearing this after asking myself all these. How he gets the questions spot on relatable is beyond me, but genius.
This video has been up since 2014, and has helped me cope with my brother's passing at the time. There has been many more deaths, but I always back to this video for comfort... It's good to know other people experience grieving over a loved one too 😔
I see what he did there. He began his regular shtick and then inserted very deep and meaningful things for us to reflect on and incorporate into our own shtick. Beautiful.
I have watched as many of the "critter videos" as I can find... yet somehow this has never come up until today and it's 5 years old... RU-vid's algorithm is messed up.
Yeah right what the hell's up with that I wish I would have known about this two years ago although I'm not sure if I've been following Me Frank for 3 years. But then again maybe because I remember him being von yt often, then he was gone, now he's back. Oh how time flies and I can't keep up with it
Rather, have you ever truly laughed out loud, followed by the message, “LOL” and “LOL” alone rather than, instead, opting for a more expressive extension of “haha[haha]” or “LOL[OL]”. There should be no extended aaiirrmmss.
What a gentle way of helping people reduce mental stress. It's a deceptively amazing psychological trick to get a person to release tension and accept current circumstances.
always interesting to see how people age through the years. a lot of his internet stuff is "frozen in time" with his younger self and i almost didn't believe i was watching ze frank when i saw this vid. i mean, it's no biggie. since we're human and all, and that includes aging. but, watching a ze frank ted video from 8 years ago and then watching this one as the very next video kind of messes with your head a little bit. gosh ze frank is so cool. happy thanksgiving everybody!
ZeFrank is the best Buddhist, despite probably not being a buddhist. He can help us all acknowledge our pain while having compassion for everyone that suffers as we suffer, and in doing so, eases that pain through awareness.
I came here from Zefrank's latest vid of the human test for people who work at an office, and this was also incredible! Great mix of humor and sorrowful introspection with a wonderfully, smoothly spoken script that hit all the right spots! Great work!
This is beyond profound. I think I've watched this video at least 30 times... Ze Frank. You give me hope. Maybe even some clarity... Thank you. I ended this with a period not in anger but in the realization that life can and will get better. You moved me. Thank you.
I would non-disqualifiably (I know, not a word, but yet you understand- the ultimate goal of language) qualify that with emotionally-intelligent. Or “self-awaringly” (also not a word) intelligent.
@@NeostormXLMAX the importance of the various flavors of intelligence has no singular “king”. Different types of intelligence depend solely on the application and context of what it’s being applied to.
@@insanecow24 Not only that, but different types of intelligence work together at times. If you're a high powered business executive with incredible calculative or analytical intelligence, emotional intelligence may help you nap a client you otherwise couldn't have
I saw people comment that this made them cry..I thought "challenge accepted!". This video struck some kind of nerve and had the tears just streaming down my face!
In first half of the videos or more , I laugh at his questions , and in last half of the video , I feel frustrated and anxious . But after I listen this and then I fall into deep thoughts , I am aware that I am a human and we are also human , I'm not lonely and I pretty rejoice that I'm a Human .
His voice and intonations are no different from the questions considered as jokes and those that touched the heart! His skill is his ability to speak so creatively that it has limits to its style
Harbz Anger comes from fear, vice versa. Humor and sadness come from the same place. All emotions are related. It's so weird, but that's just how the hooman do.
Have you ever watched RU-vid videos all night because you were scared that you might never wake up if fall asleep? Yea me neither but I watched a ton of Ze Frank's videos tonight which led me here..
Damn. I've know for a while now that Frank is remarkably funny and obviously smart, but I had no idea he was so deep as well. You seriously gave me chills, Frank. Thanks for being so cool.
