When anyone mentions the Byrds, Ry Cooder, Randy Newman, John Prine, Nick Drake and X, in one video these days, I’m all in. That Sweetheart 50th is great, but even the regular selling price was over the top, for some strange reason. I thought the RSD list was pretty good this time, along with some questionable releases. Thanks for the Dickie Betts stuff ✌🏻
I really enjoyed your RSD videos Mazzy. If I had been the Seattle guy snoring next to you in line, I would have made everybody sick! I would have been a superspreader!
Hope you lick that sickness by the weekend Zeek. Did you see Kris {dixielandfarm} new video? You are a perfect example of one of the older VC members who is still contributing and turning people onto some amazing records. That may be the best Allman Bros collection that I have ever seen. I can say that I did see the band in the seventies. The early but second wave of Allmans. Naturally I did not see Duane play live. But I would have love to. That is a nice copy of Lou's Blue Mask. RIP DB. Have a nice week brother Zeek~ Rob/Boston
Hi Zeek, Hope you're going to be 100% real soon! I'm laid up with a bad back, so watching VC videos and listening to Allman Brothers. After watching your video, I need to check out later Allman's records. Take care. RIP Dickie Betts
White label promo vertigo? Its already white!! LOL Hey good to see you!! What store did you go to on RSD? I went to Zia sunday night only because I had CDs to sell too. didnt have any RSD stuff left for me but i picked up 8 albums including a clean Alamo and a cleaner Bethlehem Asylum 1st. I also got the second Cryan Shames Spooky Tooth You Broke my Heart a Jonh Mayall import of Diary of a Band and a Brubeck i didnt have from 57.
Yeah Vince there was plenty of RSD leftovers when I went, but nothing appealing to me other than Flying Burrito Bros which was 30-40% overpriced at $50. Lots of unsold copies at that price. The old 60s used records have thankfully not all gotten way overpriced, lol
