I went into this season so sure Zeke was gonna die and that I was gonna lose this beautiful ship that I had only just fallen in love with, and now here I am, with a beautiful married and very much alive OTP. The finale was everything I needed from the show and so much more! This ship means the world to me and I'm so grateful that I get to keep them for at least another season. I truly cannot thank the writers enough for bringing these two in my life, especially in such dark and crazy times as these. Zekaela's story is so, sooooo beautiful and has so much depth to it. I can only imagine where it will go now that they finally have the rest of their lives ahead of them as a married couple.
This is of course dedicated to my wonderful, amazing Zekaela squad. I love you all so much and I don't know how I would've survived the season without all of you. Thank you all so much for being in my life and for loving these two as much as I do!

OH gurl this video is one of my favorites!!! Probably because it has all of the highlights of the entire S1 and S2 of their journey!!! ITs so GOOD. I love your parallels.... even some I never thought of which is so fun to watch because the writers really knew what they were doing when they wrote their beautiful story. Its like they left no stone unturned and thats what this video is. Just beautiful. Also I love this song and I love the word Agape! Such a powerful word and fitting for our ship!!!! You're awesome. Your videos about these two are absolutely mesmerizing, Anouk 💖 your love for them and how amazing a pair they make shines through completely even for a non-watcher! (I won't even start on the way you construct such a clear picture with your flawless voiceover and scene selection, because I feel like I just end up repeating myself over and over whenever I leave comments on your masterpieces 😂). (I am also so, SO unbelievably glad to see that this show didn't pull on you what a certain other fandom put me through this winter. I watched this video sooooooo MANY TIMES! Is soooooo BEAUTIFUL and GORGEOUS. God Michaela fought so Hardddd for her MAN. ZEKE running to save Cal and she was yeling at him NO. it might look like selfishness, but she just don't want to lose him, and the SONG, gorgeous. YES im here crying and rewatching again.....

asdfhjkl anouk you are the QUEEN of zekalea vids i swear you make them so perfect and unique each time you vid them and idk how you do it but it's so effortless and i fall in love with each video. you make the voiceovers impactful and it always matches the scenes and the song !! wow 😭😭😭 I'm crying again! Zeke is alive! Zeke is alive! You were right 😉 I'm so happy and I still haven't recover from the finale. Zekaela gave us so many emotions, I'm so grateful to have this OTP right now, they really saved me in the latest months. Where do I start about the video? Yet I have a problem. With this storyline. As follows. Everything Michaela does, ignoring the calling concerning the gangbanger/meth cooker, going against police protocol in order to safe her nephew... that all leads to the showdown wherein Zeke gets in the water, in an act of self sacrifice. And gets his health, his life back. Somehow that part strikes me as the climax of events, as the eventual outcome of this calling. Oh... wait. The calling started with letting the gangbanger of the hook. If Mik followed that initial calling that whole set of events wouldn't have happened. So, what would have happened to Zeke in that case? And that's not the only question. Cause the answere to my initial question would be that Zekes healing had nothing to do with Mik's initial calling. So what then is the purpose of that calling? Well for that... we have season two. But then, why did Zeke get his health and his lifd back, if there wasn't a calling and a heroic deed of self sacrifice involved? Hmmm, season two has a lot to answere for. 😁

You're definitely asking the right questions. Was this always the way Zeke was meant to survive his death date? If that's the case, than that means the power behind the callings knew Michaela would disobey the "let him go" calling, which could be very interesting. Ben certainly thinks so by the end of the finale, since he tells Mick "this was meant to happen". I've certainly wondered before if the callings know how people will react to them and use that to teach others lessons about the purpose and intentions of the callings. And if Zeke wasn't always destined to survive the way he did, would he have survived another scenario simply by following the callings in good faith up until the last moment? Was a heroic sacrifice necessary to defeat the death date? Will all the passengers have to do the same thing to survive? I'm sure based on what Jeff Rake has teased about season 3 that we'll get at least some answers next season. For now, though, it's fun to speculate on!
