It's just how they built the score. Build up instruments, add some naturals in the chords, use good synth/real people.

Well, that's just about the only thing it had better than the first did. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind 2, but it blew ass when you compare it to the first one. Not a bad game overall, but it had some huge shoes to fill... and it didn't.

Just saying, but some people should learn the difference between a "cover" and a "remix". A remix is literally taking the original song and using it in bits and pieces to make a new song. A cover is playing the song, or a version of the song, with new instruments. This qualifies as a cover, not a remix. NONETHELESS, it is an AWESOME cover! :D

You're right about the remix part. But I'm pretty sure this qualifies as an arrangement. As what you're talking about is probably better described as a 'remaster', 'upgrade', or 'redux.' The score in the video is obviously not the same as the original, and there isn't anyone playing over it. (Which is why they call it a cover.) So to put it simply; the whole structure of the original score has been "rearranged." to fit make it into a different genre. Thus, it's an arrangement. A very good one at that.

I think that "remix" has become the internet, or at least RU-vid's, keyword for a variation on a song. I suppose if we're being literal than terms like "(re)arrangement", "orchestral version", "cover", etc. may fit better, but I think if people were looking for music like this, then "remix" tends to be a term a lot of people know and use, even if its use may not be completely correct. In fact I found this video using the search term "zelda 2 remix", and it was even the top result.

This was FINALLY in another Zelda game!!!! It's the Streetpass Battle Theme in "A Link Between Worlds"!!!!! It was awesome to hear a track from my favourite, and totally underrated, Zelda Soundtrack(but not game) finally return to the series!!!!

This is an amazing intense orchestra cover for this track. Absolutely captures the feel of how intensely difficult it is to play Zelda 2 and the struggles/pain it is to get through the palaces. Holy shit man. I always LOVED this Zelda 2. I know many hated it but the music from it was so epic! Plus it has one of the best dialoge "error"'s in gaming history.

I revisited this remix a few times.... and each time I replay it back, I can't help but imagine a game where Link completely loses his Bishōnen aesthetic and gets a grittier, more-manly appearance, no-bullsh!t demeanor, and far more brutal in combat. And he's smoking a cigar while interrogating a Moblin. Edit: Oh, and Link has brass knuckles, he's throwing up gang symbols with his hands and his hair is slicked back.

I love this cover. Absolutely epic. This game gets so much crap for being a black sheep Zelda title, but I have such fond memories of it in my childhood. Plus, when this came out, there were only two Zeldas. It had not defied the entire series when it was only the second installment in the series.
