It's crazy how the last temple we started to play through as an adult is going to be the first one that we complete.
With some of the craziest new settings being introduced to Ocarina of Time Randomizer, I knew this was the time to begin our next adventure. There is at least twice as many locations items can be located this time, if not more. Strap in as we enter Insanity Mode!

Tyler, for the love of God, in the first phase of the Twinrova fight, lock on to the sister who's attacking you, and then just adjust your shield while being attacked so that you're facing the other sister. Don't lock on to the sister that you're trying to attack. I am fully aware that you are far better at this game than I will ever be, but as someone who has literally never struggled with phase 1 of this boss fight talking to someone who has been complaining about it for the entire 10+ years of his RU-vid career, I implore you to make this one change.

@@darinrode812 Also an entirely valid strategy. Actually, that's probably the correct answer. Maybe lock on to the attacker at first to get your aim, then cancel lock on to adjust your shield. That's probably what I was thinking of.

Oh and for the song of time blocks, they go to the other time. If you use song of time in goron city as an adult it goes to the child time and vise versa.

One thing I really love about how the randomiser has developed over time is the way that they'll come up with a new feature, and it seems so daunting and unthinkable at first, and then, after trying it out, it suddenly becomes so hard to go back to _not_ having that setting turned on. First it was the addition of Keysanity, then Skullsanity, then Potsanity, then Silver Rupeesanity-- each starting out like, "aw, hell naw, that's _way_ too crazy and difficult", and now it feels wrong to _not_ have them all in effect. Can't wait to see what else they come up with..!

You always have something interesting to talk about or just say in general lmao I still have something you said on my whiteboard which was "I lost the brain cells to finish that sentence" 🤣 makes my morning when I wake up to these ngl. CQOTD: Now I don't think there should be restrictions to say, but I do truly feel like people should have like a babysitting/parenting class or something of the like to help prepare them for parenthood. So many go into parenthood with no idea what to do, so having a class or something would very much help I feel. CQOTD2: Now for Soda, I am usually not very picky when it comes to it but I love Root Beer, Sprite, and Orange Soda the most

When I was a kid I tried to play the game as out-of-order as possible, you can actually beat forest,fire or water in any order you like, all you need is the bow which is early in the dungeon, fire temple doesn’t need anything but bombs and hookshot, spirit snd shadow you can do in either order as well

Tyler! For the fire dancer the master sword does more damage. For some odd reason Nintendo coded the fire dancer to have the same damage multipliers as the final Ganon fight. Also, did you collect the ruppee behind the ''water'' fall in DC? i believe there is a alone standing ruppee or pot there.

For ZOOTR6 I'd probably add more features to speed things up, like only having to catch 1 poe, automatically getting Epona etc. Also Entrance Randomizer would be fun (dungeon, boss and grottos are good to randomize without it getting overwhelming)

CQOTD 1: I'd say that, if possible, the individual/couple should take some kind of course/crash course on parenthood. Or baby sit! Something that would, hopefully, let them get to have a feel of what parenthood would or will be like! CQOTD 2: Dr.Pepper, coke, and pe[esi are a flavors I tend to lean towards! Though if I'm going in a restaurant or something though, I normally get ginger ale Also, the image of tektites jumping in beat is a adorable image! And I've been enjoying pot/crate/freestanding sanity as well, makes it more interesting

CQOTD 1: I think stability for the child should be the requirement. If all the needs are and can reasonably continue to be met and the child can have a good quality of life, have at it. Otherwise, don't bring a child into the world. CQOTD 2: Easily Dr. Pepper. However locally we had a place that did really good old fashioned orange pop and a lime one too. They were amazing and the lime one mixed with booze perfectly. (the company was also called Seamans hehehe)

Thanks for pointing out Twinrova and the song of time blocks. Another thing that Tyler probably doesn't know is that like Ganon, biggoron sword does less damage to flare dancers than master sword. Idk why, it's just a glitch

I'm a big fan of potsanity and the other new options. They open up so many reasons to explore parts of the game I'd never considered. Like, I would never have known there was a recovery heart behind the lava in Dodongo's Cavern, or that there were rupees at the base of the waterfall in Zora's River. It gives a new appreciation for the game. I'd be interested in seeing you try an entrance randomizer that includes the Gerudo Fortress entrances. It's WILD and a little frustrating at times, and very confusing, but it makes for some interesting routing. On my run, both normal entrances to the Fortress were child-only, so I had to figure out which entrances I could get to as an adult, which ended up being a fun search. If you do, though, know that resetting while in one of the internal rooms will start you in the first carpenter room, which you can use as a warp.

Been watching since the first ZOOTR and I really like the current settings for this series. Potsanity and freestanding add a lot of checks which is a lot more entertaining to me. Side note I really enjoyed how each ZOOTR you scaled up the difficulty with the different settings

I'd recommend turning on Pot, Crate and Beehive Appearance to Texture Unchecked. It doesn't give away any contents (eg Major Item, Key, Junk, etc) but just makes it more noticeable if you haven't gotten the item from them. I think it would be a good visual prompter in case you accidentally missed one e: Commented too soon - you immediately mentioned it after I hit play again haha

Fun fact about the song of time blocks, they actually do time travel back into the child version or adult version vice versa depending opposite of what you're playing.

One of the doors in the Water Temple had its lock removed in the randomizer to avoid potential softlocks from bad key usage. Having a key left over is expected. There actually is an explanation for where - or rather, when - Song of Time block go when you play the song. They are temporarily sent to/pulled from 7 years in the past (as an adult) or future (as a child). This can be seen in Goron City, where the two Song of Time blocks that act as stepping stones to reach the three scrub grotto are there by default as a child but need to be summoned as an adult, as well as in several other locations when dungeon entrances are shuffled. (Notably, this fact allows logical access to the right-hand side of the GTG maze without Song of Time and fewer than 9 keys as long as GTG is accessible as a child; similarly, child Link can access the Forest Temple courtyards without the Song of Time if that dungeon is shuffled somewhere he can get to.)

QOTD: I like mtn dew and dr pepper. Also on those song of time blocks, They actually time travel! as an example. There is a song of time block in forest temple. when you play the song of time, it goes a way. That block actually gets transported to the child link version of that map (yes, there is a child link map for Forest temple)

Cqotd1: obviously there shouldn’t be an age restriction to having kids, but I do believe that there should be much better access to education on what to expect and possible things you may run into. Also, if the parents aren’t able to get jobs there should be more and better resources to help them. Cqotd2: I’m a big fan of Dr Pepper

I thought it was one of your videos where we learned that the song of time blocks actually go back and forth in time. So if you play the SoT in the Water Temple as an adult to summon, you're pulling the block(s) from the child Water Temple and vice verse

CQOTD: 25 That's when the frontal lobe fully develops. It's also a good mid range, for when your child turns 18, you will be 43, so I feel as though you would have been through enough in life to give them guidance. Second question...pineapple soda because I'm weird and I don't know many people who like pineapple soda....pineapple Fanta was my favorite lol showing my age...BTW love your content and music so far keep it up and don't let anyone discourage you from your goal

CQOTD: as someone who had a kid in their early 20s I'd recommend having them at least at late 20s early 30s; when you've got yourself figured out, but not to old to have complications. CQOTD2: I like sitrus sodas, mostly Orange sodas About WD-40: its an anti-rusting, not a lubricant, and since rust makes stuff not move as smoothly, after the application, and the rust drag reduced, most stuff loose their "squeak" Plastic often squeaks more anyway

I don't think I'd do free standing items in the future, only because of how much extra garbage loot is added to the table. Potsanity is fun because it makes breaking them way more exciting than in the base game, but doesn't feel as overwhelming.

Also, on the topic of gene modification, there's a fascinating sci-fi movie called Gattaca which explores this exact topic. The protagonist is a person with a congenital heart condition who was illegally born into the world without any gene-tailoring and has to go about his life hiding that fact. Very fascinating story!

If there's one setting I would turn off for the next ZOOTR, it would be the notes of the ocarina. I think it slowed down the game a bit in the first few episodes, although not dramatically. Otherwise, maybe the poe sidequest was too much pain for you, despite being cut by a lot in the montage. Other than that, I love it so far. You're the true Link, with all that courage for playing an insane seed like that :P

A setting I think could be interesting for the next zooter run is actually not starting with the temple of time open. For basically the last four runs it's been turned on (at your preference) but it could be neat to see things a bit more like the original game intended it. Relatedly, is there an option so that the temple bosses always drop a major item?

I personally enjoy all the setting of this randomizer, but the one I'd get rid of is the silver rupees. It's interesting but to me it just leads to even more backtracking.

The one thing I'd suggest you change is checking the option that makes the silver rupees appear in bags, effectively giving you all five of one room's silver rupees in one check, while still giving you many checks in every silver rupee room

If you do this again, deeeefinitely use the setting that makes unclaimed random pots gold. So anxious the whole time that you're gonna miss one xD I'd also probably ignore beehive sanity personally because it's kinda just a chore. Cowsanity is up to you, I also don't feel like it's added a lot. Surprisingly liked the c-buttons being randomized into the mix.

QCTOD: You should be at least 18 to have a child. That's the age where you can do (almost) everything else. Also, Orange Soda is the best flavor.

Funny thing with your song of time blocks comment around the 4 minute mark they actually travel through time like if you move a block as adult link it will be there as child link and if you move one as child link it will be in adult timeline I kinda wish they did more with that feature

Question of the day: 25+ Get your life going at least. Once you have kids it changes drastically. Risks affect more than you. Had my 1st and currently only at 27, I’m 33 now. He’s amazing and I feel like any earlier I wouldn’t have been ready. Life is wild when you’re trying to find your passion and money making. Also YAY!! LilTall song about OoT!

Hey tyler so something i picked up on Also from watching speedruns of Zelda is to hookshot one sister to keep her in place. Waiting for the other to change its magic then reflect it at the one you been hookshotting. Its a way to make it so once they enter ther veiw where you have both sisters one stays long enough for you to reflect them. But i still love your randomizers and know everyone is different with how they view bosses but still just an idea to maybe make the fight a little easier

CQOTD Drink Edition: Fruity sodas are my favorite! Jarritos is my favorite brand, their grapefruit and guava flavors are my favorite. I've recently tried some melon cream sodas that were so good, it's hard to describe the flavor. Another one I've tried recently is IRN BRU which is an orange-colored soda from Scotland that actually tastes kind of like melon cream soda combined with bubblegum?! I loved it but some people describe it as drinking dishsoap 😂

Haha.. WD-40 is actually more of a degreaser/solvent. It does have some minimal lubrication qualities.. but it dries out quick (so you’ll be applying it more often) and is superior to using something like a 3-1 oil.. It wasn’t designed to be a lubricant!

About the link cosplays at the beginning I think what makes it weird is that in oot the hat is pointy and stiff so I think you gotta stuff the hat a little bit to really make it match

If Tyler decides to do a Zootr 6, he should check out the Dev-Rob section randomizer. It adds in Enemy Drops, Wonderitems, Grass drops, and the Fishing minigame fish before deciding. Though I would rather he spices things up by including Master Quest dungeons, just so we have something different to expect.

CQOTD: I think there should be something similar to a driver's license if you want to have kids. Take 3 months worth of classes (at least) in things like parenting, child psychology, etc. Because we say a lot throughout the day and many things we say can mentally scar a child for life. And you really have to pass an exam to get that license with no less than 90/100 points

CQOTD1: We can't apply the restrictions we need because of a whole slew of other sensitive issues, but without touching on that, there definitely needs to be a freely available education system specifically for future parents. And the requirement is to graduate this first. Getting into that school should have it's own requirement of finishing high school, so you'd be done with the mandatory school system already in place for your own benefit instead of forced drop out to look after a kid. However, I don't think it should be a requirement to have the diploma or GED, just to be done with your own schooling so if you chose to drop out on your own and not because of circumstance, that's fine. CQOTD2: Dr. Pepper with Cream Soda flavor somehow became my favorite. I don't know how, it started as a mixer/chaser, then just kinda became the drink of choice itself.

(Sorry for three comments in one video) The Temple of Time hinted that you needed to beat the Water Temple for one of the medallions, but it actually had a spiritual stone instead. That implies that if you randomize bosses, then the Temple of Time hints are almost useless, since they are actually tied to bosses and not to temples. The only real use for those hints is that if you beat a temple but exit the boss due to not having the right item, then you can know whether you have to go back and beat that boss later (assuming no key items behind the Child Link and Ganondorf cutscene).

CQotD (controversial) - obviously there's nothing stopping a person from having a child, but I believe that there should be proper education before a person has a child. Like every time a pregnant person goes in for an ultrasound, they also receive classes on childcare and financing. This would also apply to adoption scenarios of course. And most importantly, these programs should be made accessible. So much of the American healthcare and education system is made inaccessible due to financial reasons, so making them just a part of the process would make childcare in general much easier As for the non-controversial CQotD: ginger ale or cherry coke, though dr pepper and sprite are also fire

7:52 that’s a major symbol in islam, it’s on the flag of many islamic countries. even just typing islam on my iphone brings up this emoji xd ☪️ it was the original gerudo symbol, but it was changed for the same reason the fire temple chanting was changed - nintendo wasn’t comfortable using real world religious imagery in their video game i don’t blame tyler for not knowing or anything though, i just hope this is educational

What could add a spin to ZOOTR6 and possibly speed some things up would be a closed forest setting combined with outrageous shopsanity prices - this would require the randomizer to give you the first kid items and some additional rupee space right away, making those actually somewhat valuable. I mean at this point there's really just logicless making it any harder and that comes at the cost being probably incomplete. I actually played my first randomizer at the start of the year and I chose a closed forest setting just to get into the game. Was really something else trying to get all those possible checks, working your way into the Deku Tree and then going out into the wild. Another thing I - accidentally - did, was shuffling the stones and medallions into dungeon chests. That caused a medallion to spawn at the Gerudo Hideout and a stone to appear in Ganon's castle. That was a load of shit.

CQOTD: I'm gonna answer both comment questions. My favorite soda is Diet Pepsi. If a minimum parenting age were to be enforced, I'd have it be 25. That's around the age when the prefrontal cortex fully develops. That's the part of your brain that helps with good decision making.

Other things I’ve seen on other streamers OoT rando vids, enemy souls (there will be no monsters or bosses until you find their soul, represented with a red skultula token), bushsanity (same as pots but for bushes, also should have the gold skin like for pots), think I’ve seen up to 8 random items in shops, and linked dungeons (a random dungeon and boss room option, dungeon entrance can lead to a dungeon or boss, and boss room can lead to another dungeon entrance. Don’t know how to get any of the options active.

I always enjoy your randomizers Tyler. As for the CQOTD: 21 should be the minimum age. This way people can go to college, find a good job, hopefully and have their own place to live to raise a child. I say this in theory, but as always, it's up to the individuals to decide. As for my favorite flavor of soda......orange soda.

The fire dancer actually dies faster with the master sword. I believe navi says "Gordon steel is week against them" or something along those lines.

No, Navi's comment is "Extinguish its flaming clothes first...". The randomizer does have "They say that Flare Dancers do not fear Goron-crafted blades." as a junk hint, but there's no comment on it in the vanilla game. (Might have been an oversight; they use the same damage table as Ganon.)

CQOTD #1: Even though the human body is "technically" able to reproduce as soon as puberty kicks in, it's FAR wiser to wait until you're 25 at least, let the body and brain fully develop. This having children while still in your teens is so unhealthy >_> just destroys your life before it's even began. CQOTD #2: My favorite soda is a tie between Root Beer and Dr. Pepper.

I think it would be fun if you turned on enemy randomizer and turned off potsanity. The checks would be higher quality but getting stuck at enemies blocking doors might require a lot of backtracking. But just seeing you play randomizers at all is amazing so I'm not picky

CQOTD: I don't think there should be restrictions of that kind and it's better to have kids at a relatively young age like around mid twenties to avoid health issues, but it would be nice if those who want to take classes or need economic, psychological etc. help related to that could have easier access to it as that's unfortunately not always the case. CQOTD: As far as restrictions to having a kid, I would say for someone to be at least 28-30, actually. By that age, you've got a fully developed brain (averages around 25 for all adults) and you will be at a point where you are fairly stable. I would also add parenting classes to high school curriculum (probably just one class in the junior or senior year) to teach people how to raise children and teach them about the alternative methods to getting children. I would also change the rules for adoption because so many people want to adopt, but the restrictions are too high and people who have kids without adoption don't have the same restrictions placed on them. I would not put a monetary minimum or limit as that would be discriminatory. For the other question, Mountain Dew: Baja Blast is my favorite soda. It's what made me realize that I really like lime as a flavor in things.

You may need to try to bomb hover to ganons castle to do all the checks there cause there are a ton of pots a few deku scrubs and all the treasure chests there too

late alt CQOTD: but my favorite flavor of sode is bar none, Coca-Cola's BlackCurrant Fanta. It's a delicious, fruity carbonated flavor, aaaaaand you can't get it! You likely cannot get to try it! Because for whatever reason, they only sell it in the countries of Kenya and Egypt, and select areas of European countries under the name of Fanta Cassis (though I don't know if Cassis is truly the same flavor! I have my doubts). During my time living in Kenya, it was my favorite soda flavor ever, and still is.

CQOTD: I like orange soda. Also, speaking as a sci-fi writer, restricting having children based on qualifications is a very dystopian concept, and possibly ties in with the possibility of adjusting our own genetics from a couple episodes ago. Say in order to have a genetically modified/safe child you had to meet certain requirements, and if you didn't, you were restricted. Maybe you could have kids normally, but there would be no guarantee they'd be free of genetic disease or other problems. Possibly they'd also have more systematic disadvantages, such as an unofficial child not being as high class of citizen or something.

26 seems like a good age to begin considering kids. Most people who went to work or in the military and stayed are likely well established and most kids who did college and tech school are also likely to be well established.

CQOTD: I'd say make people take a mamditpry 9 month parenting class with an exam. Nobody's perfect but I know so many people with really bad parents. The worst of them wouldn't bother to get a child then and if you could enforce it somehow umwanted children wouldn't exist either. Also my favorite Soda is Pepsi Zero cherry. Tastes like a certain type of cherry that's usually on top of cakes. Just the best. Honestly maby you should turn on the Master Quest setting. Make it more painfull that way. It for example requires you to have Din's fire in Water Temple.

CQOTD: I mean, there shouldn't be restrictions based on age. But there definitely should be some kind of easy to access mental/emotional health resources to check in on parents planning or expecting children, so someone won't go and pass on their undiagnosed and untreated trauma. ... I *might* be a little salty at my own parents.

CQOTD: If i could enforce it: a two week mandatory course for fresh parents, with the absolute basics on how to raise a child including a bit psychology. Even if most people would sleep through it, i think it would make the world a little bit better.
