The fact that the ideas TOTK was built around were originally planned for additional BOTW expansion packs makes me think that the Master Cycle Zero may have been a testing ground for the vehicle concept, both from a technical perspective and a “how would the fans feel about this” one.

About the guardian arms and the Sheikah runes being translated to "transport"; I theorize that this is actually a means to get to the underground portion of the map. Because if you look at the floor beneath the Sheikah rune, it's made of random planks of wood almost as if it's covering a hole, and the guardian arms are emerging from that hole. The arms could possibly carry that Sheikah rune down into the caverns. Even the arm with the wire could be a tether or pulley system that allows you to travel back up.

My theory for the zonai tribe is that it is a third branch of the sheika clan. I mean, if you think about it, the sheika dedicate themselves to protecting the royal family, especially zelda, and their essence is usually blue. The yiga worships ganon, and their essence is a crimson red. I think that the zonai, with a green essence, is link's portion of the sheika clan, centered around his third of the triforce.
@memesarekeem
@memesarekeem Год назад
That's actually genius. The Shekiah do tend to be known for their wisdom, the yiga known for their abuse of power, and the Zonai too, known for courage. (The berserk outfit, or whatever it was called, for example.)
@silverayn24
@silverayn24 Год назад
Yes, I absolutely love this and makes so much sense!!
@Moon-Vixen
@Moon-Vixen Год назад
I think it's more symbolic. the 3 goddesses are colored red, green and blue, so having 3 power sources matching those colors makes sense, but there's also hints that the zonai were an ancient tribe that came to hyrule by boat and landed on the beach that houses that town where half the buildings are all boats, that have zonai swirls on them, and then the ruins are built nearby. I don't think they're connected to the sheikah as a split group who changed loyalties like the yiga, but they clearly know about the history of hyrule as there seems to be depictions of ganon's execution in twilight princess (and the mirror of twilight is also found on the beach of that same boat town) in the rubble of their ruins, and as you say, they seem to focus their attention on the courage side of the 3, with the SS pool shrine statue and dragon, as well as the armor and general "warrior race" thing. I also saw noted on twitter that the many curls on the strange large figure everyone thinks is Hylia matches the twilight throne, so the zonai could very well be the people who became the twili. the race the strange interlopers hailed from, and the reason they're gone now is bc they were banished to the twilight. twili magic also has a green tint to it, so it'd match there too. also, did the yiga actually have red magic? all I remember is ninja stuff, mainly being puffs of smoke and such. I only remember malice being directly connected to the monsters and ganon's magic. the yiga choose to follow him, but they don't seem to actually be *powered* by him afair.

One thing to note about the gyro control section: There's an x- and y- axis when using the ability, and the object rotated almost perfectly along the axis. I'm thinking that we'll be able to use the control stick for gyro sections to make more accurate rotations, as well as snap to different angles.
@Celestia282
@Celestia282 Год назад
That's my guess, too. People really did not like the forced motion controls in the gyro puzzles, so it would makes sense for them to drop it. I certainly hope they drop it. One of my least favorite parts of replaying Breath of the Wild is running into a gyro puzzle and having to get up off the couch to go undock my Switch, do that one thing in handheld mode, and then return to playing the game. It's just a frustrating waste of time, especially when the motion controls are so finicky that I'll frequently have to cancel and restart to recenter the gyro because if you move around too much or too quickly, it'll start to think that up is left or something.

I think its rather interesting that in the German trailer, when Zelda says "Please lend him your power" it's not being translated with the meaning that "One schould lend Link his/her/its power" but instead with "They should lend Link their power". As the English sentence could mean both, the German translation explicitly uses the second translation, where "you" is used as the second person plural. So she is referring to more than just one person/being that should help Link. Also in the German version Zelda is not just "unsure" if Link can beat him (Ganon) this time, she is rather convinced that Ganon is too powerfull so that "EVEN" Link can NOT beat him this time. Maybe that also means that Link needs (again, and as always) her (Zeldas/Hylias) help. Maybe she is referring to the power(s) lend to Link. Maybe it's just free translation. I could imagine that the dragon like golem statues are "them" and throughout the game you will collect "their" powers after defeating a shrine/temple.

More English localization fails I suppose. The Japanese also specifies "EVEN you can't win" "Anata demo katenai". The Japanese however doesn't make it clear that she's talking to more than one at the end. I think she could be talking to the dragons, Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra. Right after she says it you hear Zelda's lullaby in the same instrument their theme is played on in the previous game. With the sky playing a bigger part in this one, I think it's safe to assume the Dragons will as well.

I think we are seeing different possibly outcomes of the same scene. Like Link catches her in one instance, but not in another. Or at the beginning, the hand catches Link who catches Zelda, thus freeing Ganondorf and causes the havoc. Towards the end, perhaps, Link finds another way to save her, thus not needing the assistance of the hand, and Ganondorf never being freed. I love guessing and coming up with these theories. Will be fun to come back in a few months and see how these predictions age.

One thing I liked about BotW is the feeling it gave me similar to backpacking in the mountains, which is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. It is a combination of wonder, appreciation, contentment, yet also an urge to push further when you feel ready. It gives the mind time to breathe yet also rewards you for challenging yourself. I’m skeptical that such a feeling will be present in TotK because of how much is packed into the world, and I am OK with that. I’ve been a Zelda fan since OoT came out and just revisited MM the other day. The sheer density of Clock Town and the complexity of side quests in MM makes for a very engaging and memorable game. I have a feeling that TotK will evoke a similar feeling (although at a much more epic scale) and the type of enjoyment will be very different than BotW.

It looks like Shines are definitely a thing of the past in TotK. However, it looks like they're probably replaced with trips to the sky. So we may not have old-style dungeons or BotW-style shrines, but a new evolution on the puzzle concept entirely. And similarly with trips underground via cave access points...

@Zeltik Concerning the scene @21:38 Zelda does not appear to be falling or getting caught by Link in this scene. Notice how Zelda's hand is actually moving upwards from the bottom of the frame into Link's while his hand remains stationary. It's just not possible for her to do that if she were falling downwards. This is much more likely to be an entirely different scene before the falling scene, one where Link is helping Zelda to climb up a ledge from above.
@ShadowSkyX
@ShadowSkyX Год назад
I think when the ground gives way in the first trailer, it's slightly earlier on. he is able to catch her from falling, but it's a close call. When ganon seems to be attacking link a second time, though, Link realizes too late that he isn't the target anymore. This delay is enough to cost him, and he isn't able to catch her in time like he did earlier. I wonder if we're going to scrap with ganon early, though, and it's at most 2 phases. Given that the hole in his chest got bigger, it makes me think we opened the wound trying to deal damage but unknowingly made everything worse. In the first phase of dealing damage - or maybe right away - ganon disables the master sword via cutscene eventually. You continue with a now damaged master sword after, but it's very clear the sword's stats have taken a significant hit. If I were to guesstimate, it would start at the normal 60, and after malice hits it, it'll be 20 or possibly weaker. Combine that with Link's corrupted noodle arm, and he might as well be hitting him with a tree branch; The final hit breaks the sword.

the bird vehicle sucks if you dont upgrade it. you have to, with items from various locations to unlock travel to more locations. saves mad time for speedruns. the thing needs the spectral green energy to initiate travel or be summoned and you can initiate attacks from it. i hate it though. why not have made it a giant octorock that inhales air to fly, and darts by using its tentacles, and obviously shoot the rock balls at enemies. would be more liked by me than it being a crappy bird. the final boss is just lackluster, and will go through multiple updates after release lol. its just a giant cyindrical room that you fight gannon in, but you can't attack him, but you can attack his minions to break his shield. its like 3 large moving platforms in a vertical with 4 smaller moving platforms near each larger one that have the minions. you have to kill minions to get green energy. the energy helps with creating wind gusts via an ability. hookshots for attaching to enemies and if you can kick an enemy off a platform, drop off after it, hookshot it, and kill it for energy gain at a space within the fight where the monster doesnt spawn normlly, then you can chain gain energy and do the fight quicker. you gain entry to it pretty easily. a couple jumps and youre in. yes, you can make vehicles, but its pretty jank. they're pretty much a glass cannons that most players will just put junk on the front for defense and ramming enemies. like 2 or 3 hits and the parts just fall off though. its just a game that the devs chose to add all the things players asked for (and those players maybe didnt have the knowledge if their wants would work or not for a good game) and then caught up the edges with a little detail and extra pruning towards gameplay. you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can visit my streamlabs page to donate to me as thanks. streamlabs dot com / tip / bornsvg

Gonna be absolutely stupid if no dead guardians are in the world at all, it wont make logical sense. tbh I imaging we will end up finding alive guardians or whatever in the game, it is using BotW assets, engine etc, easy for them to keep the assets and use them somewhere.

I don't think that's why, they all look like heads of weapons. It's especially obvious with the boss bokoblin with the big axe on it's head, that's not just a horn. They will likely drop the weapon pieces and then you can craft with them.

I'm super stoked. I get even more excited when I hear someone talk passionately about it. God, I love this channel. My biggest worry about squeals is that they don't honor the title before it. I have no indication here that this will happen. I cannot name another franchise that has so much to explore time and time again. No matter how many times you re watch it. I absolutely love Japanese creations. There is so much to love. So much meaning and beauty in everything. My expectations are constantly met and exceeded. I will miss allot of the gameplay mechanics of the first. I would love to see bonus materials that you can only obtain from having a saved for of BOTW at 100% completion. It's the newer title raising up the prior title and keeping it very much relevant. I cannot stand the inevitable though. You work hard and level up in BOTW and I know your going to start from scratch in TOTK. Link has already been a badass and lost everything to build it back up to beat Ganon. What's the story of strength in this game? How does link become even stronger and keep it interesting? I really don't want another strength reset. I think it comes down to this to keep the struggle real. You either weaken the main character and his journey of strength becomes getting back to being strong and awesome or the second option is you get to keep your strength and progress from the first game and you have to build on that also to fight an even bigger bad in this game. So, you have to use skills honed over both games to complete the story. I hope TOTK goes with the latter. Please, don't weaken link again. The story goes from being believable to being repetitious and tedious. This is the third game in this links story. Please end it with a bang. I don't see it having another plot leading into another game. I love this series, I love this channel, both are amazing. Keep up the energy and great work! 💪😁👍

Maybe the various stages of decay on the master sword are hints that weapons break down to the hilt or something, and can be recrafted using the weapon like horns of the enemies that drop after you kill them.
@FierceDeity35
@FierceDeity35 Год назад
I saw another idea that Links hand corrupts and you have to upgrade the brace to reduce the affect. This will slowly make other weapons more viable with a weapon durability mechanic. In the beginning a sword will last for like 5 minuets the middle it will last for 10 the end will be 15

I think the "lend him your power" line is most likely going to be said by Zelda praying for the goddess(es) to aid Link. Also if you look at it, Zelda's new Shiekah Slate has a design on it that looks like Purah's glasses, so I guess we know who built it.
@chanceurban5522
@chanceurban5522 Год назад
Purah did mention in BotW that she had a Sheikah slate. It's how she developed the rune that made her de-age to a 6-year-old body. So honestly that fits.

17:30 It seems like this might be some kind of phantom limb flashback Link is having. It’s followed by him staring at his hand, maybe after the memory suddenly ends. I’m not sure why else he would be staring at his hand like this when it seems like it takes place way after he wakes up with it. My interpretation is that his arm is transplanted or possessed from someone in the past, and he’s gathering memories in a similar way to the Shiekah Slate pictures. It would explain why he has pointy beast nails. Maybe his incarnation in the past was a Zonai and they had more beastial features, which lines up with the Faron armor set he can get, which also comes with tattoos that are similar to what he has. I think that could also explain why that version of him on the tapestry is so strange looking. Maybe that incarnation of the Hero wasn’t a Hylian Just a thought
