the only ganon that makes sense is the one in the wind waker, the rest just want to rule the world because evil which is a total let down given that wind waker was criticized for being too kid friendly yet they took the time to give their villain a good reason

To be fair, Link was the one that decided to go fuck around in Termina rather than stay in Hyrule, tapping that loli Zelda ass until he became the new King. Maybe that was the regret the Hero's Shade was talking about.

The reason he left was to find Navi. Navi was special to him, and he got lost in the woods (and spirited away to Termina) while searching for her. It's likely that one of his regrets was never being able to find his precious fairy again. Add to that never seeing Zelda again, never getting recognition for most of his great deeds and struggles, never being able to pass down his knowledge of combat to a successor, not being able to save everyone he met in the events of Majora's mask, and that's a lot of regrets weighing heavily on him. It's no wonder he turned skeleghost. It's canon that Twilight link is a blood descendant of Ocarina link, so he apparently had a family with someone at some point. I imagine something happened so that he couldn't be with them, thus not being able to teach his kids how to fight. :(

where in tp does it allude to link being more that a spiritual descendant? unless your using the fact that the shade appears as proof of bloodline?

It is stated by the Shade to Link during one of their one-on-one sword lessons: "Blah blah blah this technique is passed down in our bloodline yadda yadda". It's also mentioned in the hyrule historia if I recall correctly.

so. does this mean that Zelda is her own mother time and time again? 9_Volt I love skyward sword but my friend has the award of 'the person who loves skyward sword the most'. She bought skyward sword with the the special Wii remote, she has the hyrule historia, her room is 3/4 skyward sword drawings/printouts, and she finished the game 8 times and her love grows every time. She love Skyward sword too much. That's not the only LOZ game she plays though. She has all of the games.

you know, some people would argue Hylia's actions are less noble and more manipulative and at worst power hungry, taking a 'lesser' form in order to have access to 'Greater' powers.
