I found an NPC at a monster camp and pulled the cage off of him, and he stood up and said "I'm free." I then dropped the cage back on him again. When I spoke to him he commented he thought he had been free for a second, but must have just imagined it.

The electric fishing boat is Nintendo-approved! There's a version of it among the pre-designed Yiga schematics that even has a collection chamber so you don't have to stop for every fish.

Not nintendo-approved: tired of trying to sneak up on the 3 zora kids? Cracme products has you covered. Just put this moustache-guy cutout on a rolly...thingy... you know the one. Then place a stake right into the center of his crotch. Load the stake up with bomb flowers until it looks like moustache-man has pube-bombic plague. Finally, moustache man can't get off without some extra stimulation. So forcefully put a rocket up his bum, point him at the annoying brats, slap his booty, then run away from the splash zone. This works good for clearing camps too, but if you want to scar some kids, this is the way. Get your starter kit today! Only 399 rupees! *white van sold separately.

If they didn't want us to fish like insane people, they would have given us a fishing rod. Or put statues of the Goddess in the ocean. They did that with statues of Jesus and Mary in the Philippines to prevent bomb fishing which was destroying the coral reefs. It worked because most people in the Philippines are Catholic.

I would argue that Link been a feral gremlin since OoT. He just hasn't been able to properly express it in games until now...unless you count rampant mask abuse in Majora's Mask and kidnapping every dog or cat I encounter in Twilight Princess for cuddles. Freaking people out with the spooky masks are fun...almost as fun as exploding the bomb mask on them! They don't always respond to being blown up, but I enjoy it anyways! Oh, and scaring everyone in Castle Town for no reason as a wolf in Twilight Princess. That was fun too. I...don't finish many Zelda games if you can't tell. Too much time spent being a gremlin...not enough time spent finishing the game... Where even was I in Windwaker?!

No, no, this has been a thing forever. People have always made fun of the idea of walking into random people's houses, smashing their pots, and taking whatever drops from them. Or opening chests in their houses. Or cutting the grass on their property. "Gotta run around my town and try to make some cash. My neighbours save me all the work." "You just break into people's houses, it's time to face the fact that you're a jerk" "I'll break all your pots and I best not hear you b*tchin. I got the Triforce of Courage b*tch, so you'd better listen!" Hell, many of the games acknowledge it, calling you out for breaking certain pots or cutting certain grass or trying to attack innocent people. You can steal in Link's Awakening and get called Thief. And how many games punish you for attacking chickens/Cuccos?

You don't have to pay Hagie to use the railcar. Just throw a puffshroom at his face or put a piece of wood in front of him so he can't see. He's robbing people by charging as Hudson made it usable for free, so this is a good act.

If you do the Side Adventure about Hudson's daughter Mattison, he stops charging you. Mattison asks you to help sneak aboard once to reach her father, then after the quest is done he complains that Hudson is more attentive than before and he can't charge anymore. Because it is supposed to be free.

@@richardwilliams9130 no, no. Magda is now on an island near one of the stables, and not circling a shrine with flowers, thank goodness. She also won't try to kill you if you step on her flowers (I tried a good 8 time or so. She does have different dialogue but nothing else. Maybe if you try more out of boredom, Idk). She's still kinda crazy but less unhinged now, thankfully. The old lady they're talking about is in Kakariko village; the one that complaints if you step in her plum garden. The garden is now indestructible and has Cucoo security 24/7.

A lot of NPCs don't recognize you. Like I can understand the painter, pikamon (or whatever his name is. I forget exactly.) But some of them...They probably should. Especially considering you the hero that saved the kingdom and world. Most people would remember if they interacted with someone like that 😊

Actually Hudson and Rhondson remember you, and I think the old Zora might, but yeah, why no one else does. What’s more baffling is why does no one in Hataeno Village recognise you; not only did you buy and renovate the abandoned house in town, but Zelda moved in with you in the interim between the two games and she was a major presence in town, so even if they don’t know your name at the very least you’d think they’d recognise you as Zelda’s live in bodyguard.

I saw a really cool version of number 3, it used more board to have the fish get stuck on and angled board on either side to actually funnel the fish towards the collection board as it zaps them, it was fricken genius. I've also seen many other cool things like giant mechs, helicopters, tanks, bombers, and a really cool giant enemy seeking missle system.

I use electric arrows when I need to fish. The electric boat isn't that much different. I don't bother most of the time. I can get plenty of food on land. That is way easier. I only farm fish if I need specific fish for armor upgrades. Sometimes I swim in water in order to to from one place to another. I catch any fish that happen to be nearby. That is about it. The real intensive farming is something I only do for armor upgrades.

For the batch cooking, see if there's a portable cook pot you can buy, if there is then buy them in bulk and begin construction of a furnace with them in the middle (need a bottom to catch the ones that don't fall in the pots)

This is the second time I've seen someone point out an electric fish-catching device, even though like- there is a blueprint you can find, IN-GAME, from one of the Yiga hideouts, called the 'Fishing Trawler' that's exactly that, but also designed with a scoop to catch the electrocuted fish. Like, you're not doing anything special with that one, guys, even the devs saw the potential of it.

Granteson kept getting in my way during the house-building quest...so I just dropped my whole house on him. Sadly, he didn't get squashed, and instead held the house up ant an angle and I had to have him "inspect" things before he'd leave.

Taken me long enough to realise that the discord server is full of 'interesting' ideas to inflict on npcs in video games, to be fair, some of them had it coming, but not all of them deserve it (unless its koroks, then carry on with the experiments). The worst I did is create a little vehicle thing that has spiky ball on the end of the electric rod thing, to electrocute and spike any monsters I come along.

Those koroks you have to carry over to their friend... I just attach them to the horse's towing harness without anything else, just dragging them along at a brutal pace. They'll regret not walking that extra length!

I've messed with a korok in a snowy area basically just dropped so rolled down the hill like a snow ball. Am going to have to try the launching the annoying thing

the korok case goes like this... you play the game from the beginning for the first time... you see a korok in trouble, you bring it over to it's friend... you think, ahhh that's pretty cool... you play for about another hour... you see another korok... you bring it to it's friend... you think jeeze how many times do i gotta do this?... you see another one like not even a mile away... you keep walking cause you don't have time to be wondering off and trying to find your way back...

I think the most evil thing I’ve done in ToTK (other than 4 of the things mentioned in this list) is dropping a shock emitter into the Zora’s domain healing area for “experimentation” purposes. Of course, the Zora’s won’t get electrocuted but the nearby Zoras do run away in fright though (and quite far I might add)

There is one that is resistant to shock damage. Not immune, but he did torture himself trying to grab a shock arrow.

The spinning boko torture device looks much more efficient if you attach it to a homing cart than the attack droid I've been using to clear out monster camps. I've been using the tracking spin thing and attaching a beam emitter canon and flamethrower but it only targets one enemy so ultimately kind of inefficient compared to an all-sides-attacking doomba

You can't blame the players for the electric fishing. I got a Yiga schematic for a "fishing trawler" which not only electrocutes the fish, but also scoops them up as you drive it.

I enjoy watching those little Koroks get blown to space. The bring them to their friend puzzles are so tedious. Every time I’m trying to do a side quest, I run into one of them and get annoyed because my OCD won’t let me continue until I get them to their friend.

I find Addison charming, his little puzzles are just enough to take me a second to think but not annoying. He is a good boy and i am always gald to met him. Specially because of those riceballs - i mainly rely on the benevolents of Hyrules people since i criminally neglect my own cooking pot.

I actually did use 4 planks to trap a horse. The horse kicked me several times before I could mount it. The topper was when I got to a stable to register it I had 5 horses I caught from BOTW already waiting.
