ZenEstimate HVAC lets you perform detailed takeoff for ducts, pipes, and related equipment directly inside Bluebeam Revu. With an extensive library of symbols, ZenEstimate HVAC lets you select the gauge, or schedule, of your materials and calculates their weight for both individual items and total order. Not only that, but ZenEstimate HVAC allows you to estimate crew rates, unit costs, condition adjustments, and even the ability to track delivery and return of materials. All this, and it fully integrates into the powerful Bluebeam Revu system you already have so you can organize, output, and control your takeoffs in a simple, concise, manner across your entire company.

Do you have your tool sets in metric as well? Anyone in Australia using this, how well does it convert? How much $$$ the all important question.

No, sorry to say the HVAC tools are only in Imperial format.

No such thing as standard duct in Australia. I looked into doing something like this when I first got bluebeam, but the way the industry is in Aus, you'd never finish a takeoff. You'd need so many toolsets that you'd spend more time trying to find the tool you need. You'd need that full suite for plain duct, then that full suite again for internal insul, external insul, P3, PVC...

But what if you need to adjust your polyline length manually?? Or even round your polyline measurements up or down to the nearest whole number??

Any of the linear tools in our ZenEstimate sets can be dragged/re-sized using grips just like any Bluebeam linear measurement. In terms of rounding, that’s a function of the way you set up the document’s scale.

I understand but adjusting it by the grips doesnt set it manually because the numbers jump around too much.Any way around that? @@ZenTekConsultants

@@Moneymendoza56 Valid point, but it’s a feature not a bug! 😊 The linear tools are measurements on the plan, not necessarily data entry tools. They’re meant to show what’s drawn, not necessarily what you want it to show. One thing you can do is use the custom columns to handle rounding up or down as needed in a separate column. If you find your picks aren’t accurate enough, you can do a few things: 1. Zoom in closer to the area you’re working in, 2. Set the scaling accuracy to a higher value i.e., 1/64 instead of ½, 3. Make sure that all your grid/snap to grid tools are turned off. Hope that helps!

Seems overly complicated for estimates. Zero standardization across estimators. Labor is the cost you should be concerned about and it's simply a guess per estimator, no different then paper bidding.
