Thanks for the commentary. Got a few questions. 1) What is the total weight these 3 legs can support? 2) What are the dimension of each leg? 3) Is it possible to do 4 legs and make a quadrant instead of a semi-triangle? I see all these being 3legged but perhaps it can be 4legged too.
I think you#re wasting a lot of deckspace by buiding the accomodation block in that way. It better to not have accomodation aft of the forward leg and instead build one more level of accomodation height. Furthermore, push the whole accomodation forward and integrate the supportstructure for helideck into the accommodation, thereby making it much more safe and efficient to be able to handle towing vessels underneath the helideck. This design can be improved.
Agreed. I'm not sure why they went about it in the manner they prescribed, it seems to have a number of inefficiencies. Perhaps someone from Zentech would like to chime in and elaborate on the reasoning for this?
