I’ve been doing some thinking recently about this channel and a thought popped into my mind overnight. It’s been a really interesting journey sharing my love of the piano with everyone all over the world. It still trips me out that I spend an afternoon recording a track (it has to be the afternoon for those curious about the process, as the piano is lit by natural light - it’s best between 1pm - 4pm in the room that I’m recording in), sitting by myself in front of a piano in my music school, and that people from all over the world get to experience a very private moment of my creative process. What I find particularly interesting though is when I listen back to these interpretations, there’s a pretty strong disconnect between playing/recording the tracks and hearing them back. Without a drop of ego, I personally enjoy listening to these tracks either late at night to help me fall asleep, occasionally in the morning when I wake up to find some more motivation about working on my Radiohead songbook, but my favourite time would definitely be when I’m travelling, especially in airports or on planes, and also on public transport. As there are a lot of returning subscribers and listeners on this channel, my question to you is this: Where and when do you listen to these tracks? What are you doing? Working? Studying? Travelling? Eating breakfast? Passing out? What time of day is it? What do you see? How does it make you feel? I’d be very curious to hear your thoughts, so hit me up. The magic begins at 3:19 and then escalates to a whole other level at 4:43. There is no sheet music for jazz. Jazz is improvised, by definition. The pianist, the piano and the reverberated sound waves are one and the same, with sheet music put to the side by the Muse.

I have two music groups that I consider as my favorites: Radiohead and Zero 7. I fell in love with your covers of the first one, and you just can't imagine how I was exited when I saw this cover in my youtube news feed... I hate asking this, I really hate, because you are the master of your work and I don't have to tell you what to do, but do more covers of Zero 7 pleaaaaaaase!!

You are so emotionally aware. It's an incredible sight. Not many people have the talent to be this insightful and understanding of emotion and everything it entails. You pull it out in its entirety in every cover you do. You really are a masterpiece.

Really sorry for the noob comment but can anyone tell me what the technique is called used at 03.28? I understand its a jazz / blues technique but I'm having real trouble learning it because I don't know what to search for!

Tired after long day work, I often come here before I seat in front of my piano. Your play relax me, your hand are so easy, this is peacefull. So many small varations in this piece. Tonight, the part that wake up my ears is from 5:07. I'm 45 I play for 3 years and now I kwnow how I want to play. Josh : Thx from France

That little interlude/ditty from 3.22 to 3.51 could standalone as a piece. I'd pay money if you could stretch that out into a music of its own. Thoroughly enjoyed the contrast between it and the rest of the piece.

Ok, guess I’m late to the game here. I’m just now finding you. This Zero 7 cover is literally perfection. Absolute perfection. VK has a few that are nearly perfect too, but that silly Roland doesn’t compare to an actual piano. Listening on RU-vid isn’t an audiophile’s dream in terms of quality, but you obviously invested in good recording equipment. Thanks. Listening through HD 650s with a good amp is a great experience. Guess I’m about to learn a lot more about Radiohead piano covers...

In the waiting line always reminds me of the coast down here in South Africa when I was a kid. Listening with my headphones on with closed eyes and entering a trance like state. Be great to maybe try breath me by Sia unless you've already done it. Or some Placebo, special needs etc. Great Channel.
