I've been seeing Ace Combat requests for years, but have yet to do a song from the series... until today.
Ace Combat was the #9 most requested new (to GaMetal) series from the 2020 GaMetal Song Ballot, so it's about time we get to it with the most requested song from the series: Zero from Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.
This song is originally very orchestral, with some Latin thrown in as well. I tried to keep true to that style with this remix.

Technically, yes. The pilot you play as, along with your wingmen (in this case PJ) are mercenaries, as soon as the war is over you go home. So, since that was the last mission, PJ was likely to retire

Black, Knight of Soleanna first we need the remake of 2 as well as 6 ported and remastered (honestly getting these 2 off the 3ds and 360 would do them both a lot of favors for the newcomers 7 brought), a remake of 3 (and make it the actual AC3 this time instead of our “version”) and a PS2 trilogy remaster before we get AC8

Black, Knight of Soleanna I meant getting the games off the consoles they were on, I mentioned the remake of 2 and 6, but I should’ve mentioned the word respectively as then the context goes from being like a port of 6 is also on 3ds to modern consoles to a port of 2’s remake to modern consoles and a port of 6 to modern consoles

Megalith was really cool, that moment with the birds and the lasers while it starts playing is even Keiki's favourite. But Zero really does stand out to me on a fundamental level, loving the "Sapinish" guitar since I was young.

No massive mech to destroy. No "you VS a whole enemy squad". The last battle in this game was an epic 1v1 dogfight in which you had to rush against each other, and the only way to deal demage was to attack the front, while dodging that one-hit kill laser, with this absolutely epic theme playing in the background. Thumbs up!

Additionally, and its canon, prior to Pixy's defection the antagonist nation (Belka) pulled a last stand deperation move/declaration... by nuking themselves in 7 locations making a makeshift visible border between te allied coalition of fighter/Mercenary forces and Belka. The entire reason for the war? Basically Seller's remorse over precious metals used for making aircraft.

Vincent Salinas-Piper which when combined with belka’s inlfluence on the wars since, especially regarding the zone of endless project and the constant devolopment of super weapons like the railgun from 6 to lead to more repurcussions. It caused what was originally a resource conflict gave way to the destruction of civilized government as we know it as 2 warring megacorps secretly control the world robocop style and will stop at nothing to see the other one gone from the picture for the sake of world domination. It makes Ionela’s speech at the end of 7 all the more tragic

As a years-long fan of the series, I'm both glad you finally did this song, and also pleasantly surprised you did it right - I've seen a few remixes that underplay the chorus and remove the acoustic guitar altogether, which utterly destroys the feel of the song. Good job, that was excellent.
