Basically the physics simulation is closer to what a "real" Spider-Man would experience. The angle and placement of the web line actually matters, and if you shoot a line too low to the ground the game doesn't automatically hover you back up to compensate like it did in Spider-Man PS4 and Miles Morales. The trade off is that you can go WAY faster and swing at more interesting angles.
@@TimeTravel-0to add onto this, notice how during the swing animation, depending on which building your web attaches to, spidey is closer/leaning more towards it. Meanwhile with web assist on, if your holding r2 and moving straight, you go in a perfectly straight line (completely unrealistic).
