Man, I used to dream of a game that would have me feel 10% of what you showed me in this video. This goes well beyond everything and high hopes I had for this game and it definitely did not disappoint at all.
I started this game expecting to almost never want to use the web wings. By the time i was half way through i was constantly switching between the wings and regular swinging. Its insane how much better they make swinging, especially through areas like the parks.
Genuinely,this has the greatest web swinging/travel mechanics we seen in a spiderman/superhero game ever, insomniac has officially dethroned spiderman 2 the movie game(it feels weird to say spiderman 2 the movie game instead of spiderman 2 but yeah)if anyone thinks otherwise im free for the conversation
Being able to play a game that authentically makes me swing like Spider-Man was the dream growing up. Most importantly in Spider-Man 2, I love how we can set the web assist on a 1-10 scale. I feel more realistic and fast at the same time, with a challenge. It's like I don't even beed Mods anymore! Thanks, Insomniac.

I definitely think they improved the swinging a lot in this game. There’s a lot of similarities but there’s tuns of new stuff too. And the swinging speed is so fast now
Insomniac made a Tony Hawk Pro-Swinger out of Spider-Man series and that`s awesome. More tricks! More combo! More moves! Still waiting for "wall-fighting" mechanic from Web of Shadows.
Being able to modify web assist is one of the best things about SM2. Turning it completely off is the true web swinging experience. I'm still trying to master it. Overall, the game gets an 8.5. Insomniac missed a few marks with the story side missions and your limited use of Venom.
@@Max1mus449I wouldn't mind it if it atleast did something like, hint at a villain like the other side quests do. Overall, its not a bad mission, it wants you to empathize with Hailey. Its just not a suitable sidequest in a Spider-Man game. Even then if it had story relevance it would be pretty okay. But it didn't. So.
I had swing assist at level 1 for a while, but moved it up to 2 because every time I did the loop, I would smash into a rooftop and die 😂. It doesn't happen as often, if at all, on level 2
I started playing the game yesterday and I loved the first game. I missed the DLCS and Miles moralis to play for myself. But after starting the game, it felt like home. The same great feeling like in the first game. Just the movement alone was worth it. And then you get a Triple A cinematic story on top.
Ah yes, another "pro" web swinging video where the player can't just let a swing satisfyingly reach its full momentum and has to interrupt it prematurely with another traversal option.

I think we can all agree this game is the best Spider-Man game ever. I mean LOOK at the swinging mechanics! (I haven’t even played it) can’t wait for a PC port! Seeing this tempts me to go buy a ps5 rn lol.
You're the first player I've seen, not spam the hell out of the wings, robo arms, and mile's electric powers, but use them to enhance moving around places, if the webs isn't favorable
From this perspective, I think that the fall damage system is way too harsh on some occasions: if Spidey jumps with the full charged jump and lands on the same spot, the player loses 5 HP.
What really hurt me about the swing assist is that everyone like a day after release was like “bro I use no swing assist at all! It only took me 1 day to master perfectly! 🤓” but seeing an actual pro like you is goated.. or are you?
