A new Buff Dudes Food video? Whaaaaaaatt?? It's true, it's true. Apologize for such an absence as a lot of life stuff has been going on lately but we're BACK ON TRACK! We'll be doing our cutting plan until end of March and I plan on a weekly food video which I'll feature in our vlog and also here. Hope you enjoy. More to cooooooome! (oh and stay buff)
Buff Dudes Food sorry but what's with all the zero carb stuff you can still lose weight by eating carbs don't get it but everyone has their own preferences
Recipe: 2 eggs 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt 1/4 teaspoon baking powder A pinch of salt Preheat your oven to 230°C or 450°F 1)Separate your yolks and whites 2)Add the yoghurt to your yolks and mix 3)Add baking powder to the whites and blend until small peaks and fluffy 4)Add salt and then fold them together 5)Cook for twelve to 15 minutes Then it’s finished! It’s good but tastes more like an omelette than bread.
For those complaining about the egg taste: to.eliminate it pass the egg yolks through a sieve, but do not press, let it pass naturally. The egg yok"film" will remain in the sieve. This is how we eliminate the strong egg taste from any recipe.
Just spent 10 minutes trying to refund this comment. I tried this bread, was eggy, tried a different cheese bread, it was eggy, gonna go out and buy one of those (I thought it was "siff" and was way off track! Hopefully that will help me. I hate it, but I'm a picky eater and I'm on day... 12 and I really need to add to my selection of keto food. As much as I like eggs, I don't want that taste in certain things!
If you whisk the whites until foamy and just add a big pinch of cream of tartar, that will increase the volume and also stabilize the white mixture. Thus ensuring a better end result.
Jesus Christ King Of Kings Lord of Lords w the baking powder. they get suuper puffy tho so you wanna spread out the mixture wider on the parchment paper otherwise you have a puff the size of one of those hawaiian rolls (mini). but that might be my fault bc i made 10 instead of 6
@Jesus Christ King Of Kings Lord of Lords it's an ingredient that one uses to make the meringue (egg whites)stiff for lemon meringue pie. It's in the seasonings section.
Tried this today. My review: They are basically flavorless.Which isn’t necessary a bad thing. I think they’re just great way to hold the contents of a sandwich together.
Flavorless will be better than tasting like yogurt. That's all I'm smelling from my failed attempt is yogurt and burning. Strangely though, not burning yogurt.
rainynight02 I thought they would taste a little sour because of the yogurt but they don’t. Yeah, another thing to mention is to bake them less than the recommended time. I took mine out at 11 mins because I noticed smoke coming from the oven... that’s because the wax paper was burning... not on fire but just smoking which is odd. I took them out and they were just fine.
@@OlgaPea ..... Damnit... I'm at the store for baking powder and forgot to get parchment paper.... Wax paper melted for me.... Which is why I never use it...
Thanks for the tip Now i know why they came out flat the first time i tried this But in the words of Clint Eastwood "Everybodys got a right to be a sucker once"
Dude these were amazing my wife and I started the keto recently so no bread sucks found your recipe I just ended up pouring the whole mix in a cake pan then baked cut to size and bam thanks again brotha
@James Parker I literally have epilepsy and type 1 diabetes. I cannot eat carbs for my health. Educate yourself and calm down. You make a bad damn for vegans when I notice every vegan is full of nothing but anger.
@James Parker yes. I agree that plant based keto is much healthier than consuming insane amounts of animal products like traditional keto. I'm pretty sure that's been proven in multiple studies
I just made it, forgot the salt. still came out pretty good. It's almost like literally eating a cloud. Made pork butt sliders with it, and it was amazing. Thanks BUFF DUDES!!!
old dave depends, are you trying to lose weight on the scale, or are you interested in changing your condition. If that scale number means something to you, then cut salt, dump water weight, and feel satisfied that you’re now a lower arbitrary number. But if you’re an otherwise healthy aspiring buff dude, electrolytes are an important part of nutrition. Electrolytes can actually aid in fat loss and condition improvement. But excess salt can frustrate a scale watcher. Comparing the two is much like comparing a steering wheel holder, with a driver. One wants to head in a direction, one actually wants to get somewhere.
Just tried this recipe. Used chicken breast, spinach and cherry tomatoes as a filling. Sprinkled sesame seeds on top before cooking. Used 1/2 tsp of baking powder instead for added fluffiness, also added oregano and granulated garlic. Was absolutely delicious. Would recommend. Would make a great alternative to burger buns. If you are using a fan oven in the UK I would cook it at 12 mins at 250oc.
So good first time I tried it when I got it right. I tried eye balling it like you do and did not egg beet the whites and powder enough but second time is the charm. Follow the recipe.
Good recipe, I turned oven down to 350 and flipped them when almost done. Then also smushed them flatter with spatula and cooked until almost burnt. Makes all my sandwiches more authentic and still delicious!!
little tip ... if you keep mixing until the whites turn pale and stiff, folding the yolks into the whites will be easier and also you will conserve more air since folding itself breaks them bubbles
Thank you! I'll definitely be trying these! As a semi new diabetic the thing I struggle with the most is cutting out my carbs and this may really help me :)
@@jayreszy4398 If you actually read, it say Semi new not semi diabetic. Idiot. I have diabetes but I still feel new to it and am still learning how to manage it -.-
Tips to improve any type of sandwich/burger/wrap: If you put on tomatoes please for the love of God season the tomatoes with salt and pepper Always toast the bread, it's really easy and doesn't take much effort but it adds a lot Don't eat it dry, add some sauce, just regular plain mayo can improve a sandwich
Cloud Bread tastes very eggy (duh), so it's great for BLTs since eggs go so well with bacon anyway. You can make it taste a bit more like bread by adding a teaspoon of ground psyllium husk to the recipe. Don't buy an expensive can of psyllium, get it from the bulk section at Whole Foods. A single scoop's worth will last months and is only a few cents.
I have made this two nights in a row! Hubby very impressed. First night BLT, and tonight Bacon,Egg and cheese muffins. Delicious! P.S. I doubled the recipe tonight so hopefully after keeping in an airtight container the rest will still be ok tomorrow night with a curry. P.S. We had two left last night, so I put peanut paste on one and butter and vegemite on the other! 😍❤️🇦🇺🦘
Well, I tried my best to whip bc I don't have a mixer. Still came out okay, more like a flatbread, but def not as fluffy as his. Useable for sandwiches though
That's so awesome to hear! It may not seem like much now but you're doing what you've set out to do by at least taking small steps to change your diet in order to take back control over your health!
I feel like I now have these baked to perfection! The key is to add the baking soda to the whites at the last minute before you whizz with the electric mixer. Then whizz the hell out of the egg whites. Beautiful! 😄
Finally tried this - Mum is diabetic and I myself often go low carb on a cut. Perfect sub for bread. Just used them as burger buns and it knocks socks off a burger wrapped in a lettuce leaf.
me watching this vid at 3 am, everyone's sleeping, sound is ok, ima keep it at 50... THEN THAT BUFF INCREASE IN THE SOUND AT THE END, the gains woke up everyone lol, ima making this for breakfast...
It was amazing. They came out exactly like they did for the video. I guess it might be best to eat them warm because we did and they were incredible. Somehow someway they have a buttery taste to them. It was easy they tasted great. Thank you very much I now have a recipe for bread in 12 minutes.
lol.. almost nth on this planet is actually zero carb per se... we call it that way when its lower then certain %s. Go learn what a carb actually in is nature ok? peace
All these folks here complaining about the greek yogurt containing carbs and crap, literally neglectable when you think about if you want sandwich bread.
I was expecting to this turn out tasting like a egg omelet or eggy pancake at the very best. It has been a very long time since I was last this pleasantly surprised by food recipe. I was searching for a bread substitute to use as a sandwich vehicle and this was absolutely perfect. I let these cool and popped them in a large ziploc bread to keep them soft and fresh. Too bad we cant post pics of the results, mine were stellar. So 2 years later, this video is still helping people find better nutritional choices. Thanks for sharing!
I have watched the video a long time ago. I have been looking for it to watch again. I watched the entire RU-vid database for cloud bread before I came to this one. Luckily after two weeks, I found it and I have added it to my liked videos. No way I lose it again :D
You did a good job, this is the best video I have seen thus far for cloud bread. Thank you for making this video. I will be looking forward to watching more from you. Again, good job.
If you live near an Aldi, they sell Loven Fresh zero carb bread in wheat & whole grain. You can have sandwiches, toast, croutons & you can even roll it out & make pizza bread.
@@debrarodriguez3193 .....you want to stay away from wheat, barley, oats and rye...gluten is one of the major sources of inflammation in the body and tears up your small intestines, where most of your nutrients are absorbed into the body.
@@jrcarrillo7791 have you tried this? I havnt yet. I get side tracked fro too many reviews. Maybe I need to try it this time? Thx for bringing this up again.
I answered my own question. It was do these things stay fresh after you have cooked them and they’ve been sitting out for a while? And the answer is yes they do. They stay soft and they stay very very tasty!!!! As long as I keep them wrapped in parchment paper. These things stay so soft it is not even funny. Thank you buff dudes for giving me the ability to finally have some bread again. I really appreciate it and I really mean it.
greek yoghurt has 3.6g carbs/100g eggs have 0.6g carbs/each baking powder has 28g carbs/100g so the eggs alone are roughly 1.2g carbs, more than you shown at 1:27 why do you sell this as 0 carb?
I am going to try both the cloud cookies, and cloud bread. I have to give it to you, you look absolutely cute in that kitchen. Take it from a 64 year old buff grandma.
Hi there! Quick question: how come there is never mushrooms in your recipes or shopping lists? Is there a nutrition reason or you just happen to not eat mushrooms?
Made for the first time in 2020, using cold eggs and a buff mixer. It had 5 speeds, the first speed was the top speed of most mixers. The top speed i could see nothing but the void and white froth. Protip: if you run out of baking paper do not use foil, unless oyu like eating cooking foil as it bonds tighter than Trumps money clip.
Came across this recipe today and can't wait to try this. Surprise how little ingredients you need and man the macros are amazing!!!!!!! Can't wait to use it for burger buns.... instead of regular burger bread. I'm going to try BBQ some burgers using 96% lean ground beef from Trader Joe's and then using this bread.. I bet it will be perfect!! Thanks Buff Dude!!! You Rock! :)
