This. This version of Formidable Enemy is what introduced me to the Trails/Kiseki Series. It's so good. The Guitar, extra Synth parts, all the Solos, everything works together so well, with a Rhythm Section that just keeps the Energy going. This is my favorite Song in the entire series not only because it introduced me to an amazing JRPG series, but the song itself is just that damn good.
Outstanding arrangement, Kamikura's new keyboard solo is insanely good, love the baroque feeling. The guitar solos are also impeccable, really like the intensity in this track. The sound at the intro is the same as Love Live's Spikaterrible. 🤭
The Evolution OST is really hit or miss, but this particular track was given lots of love and I'd say it's even more energetic and powerful than the original or the Super Arrange versions. Definitely a super cool track.
This version is for me perfect, the solo, the break and of course the amazing melody of the track. I succeed to have the two evolution albums and I totally love them. There're some mix in the the original album which are excellent too but I prefer true instruments like Guitar. Anyway it's really awesome Falcom music.
My favorite version of Formidable Enemy. Kamikura did a fantastic job at arranging that one. I even prefer it over Jindo's SAV version and that means a lot. The part at 2:08 absolutely sets it apart from the original. That being said I prefer the drums in Jindo's SAV and in general the recording quality.
