Wasn't sure where to showcase Black Swan because MOC12's Deer is resistant to Wind while 2nd half has Stormbringer which is also resistant to Wind. Kafka (Boss) is also resistant to Lightning which makes the Black Swan Kafka pair look underwhelming. If I were to showcase Black Swan on MOC12, it would be as an alternative to Pela, not as the carry of the team so it will end up as another Dr. Ratio showcase instead. Not sure if you guys would want to see that.
@@BeaLoZ44 I tried and it felt like there isn't really anything to learn from it. It's just them doing their thing and no need for any particular min-maxing. 0-cycle seems impossible too if not E2 Black Swan.
@@degamishiro123 i think with her set up, it'd take 2-3 cycle to clear one note of this MOC 12 though, it stills kinda broken consider they both have elements resistance.

Hi Dreamy.. used to watch your arknight cc showcases because those max risk strategies actually helped me clear the bare minimum risk 8/18 without too complex handling of units. Now I’m playing star rail as well but I think these 0 cycle showcase are kind of hard to resonate with a large portion of the community who don’t have the ability to handle units that well.. we can’t reach 20 round clears let alone 0 cycle 😢
The reason why I don't try to do low-investment clears is that people would nitpick what I use anyways. For example, majority of my 4*s are E6 and my 4* LCs are mostly S5. If only there was a way to turn off Eidolons or Superimpositions.

Kafka makes this comp insane. But it also works surprisingly well with break DOT 4 stars like Sampo and Luka. GachaSmacks ran the samr comp in 2 cycles with C6Sampo and 4 star LCs. Cool video though, this is my future team. 😎

There was actually a mistake in this vid where I used Tingyun's skill which forced Kafka to use basic attack but it helped give Svarog that last bit of HP so Kafka could end the run with an ULT lol.
I definitely understand the logic of going Atk boots BS when you cant hit 155+ speed but my heart still says its way less viable without Ruan Mei even if youre not hitting that high since the unspoken part is RM letting you break enemies a lot faster + stay broken longer still lets the "slow" build BS put on more and more stacks before the enemy actually gets a turn that would clear them, lowering the damage of kafka's frequent retriggers. So as someone without RM cause I lost the 50-50 idk if I still want to do it...

People kept telling me to speed up BS and to swap stuff around so that my Kafka (156spd right now) is slower than her but I couldn’t find it in myself to make Kafka slow due to how her sig LC works. I’ll figure out how to get four more speed instead. 😂 but I like this approach more than forcing to “downgrade” my Kafka’s speed just for more black swan damage. This was so good. Time to bring out the atk boots
Tried it just now with the gears I had on-hand (still not 160 speed Kafka) and got away with a 2-cycle. I think it's pretty great. 🥹 Thank you again for the upload.
Honestly it’s not that difficult. With speed boots giving 25 speed, you only need 7 speed across the other 5 pieces. And with Kafka only caring about speed and attack, it’s totally achievable. Mine is 165. (Edited: a little mistake with calcs)
@@bachphamhoang3000 you can't get spd substat on boot, so the requirement for 160 spd without signature and any external buff is 9 spd substat average on the remaining 5 pieces, very insane to achieve for sure

I thought you d use Asta instead since she can buff both dps and provide tons of spd but seems like the lack of fire weakness and 60 energy from Ting Yun is too crucial. Clean run 🎉.
Asta would probably work too if it helps both Swan and Kafka get a 3rd action. I just prefer it this way because of how Swan already has her Epiphany debuff up at the start of the fight, meaning the Arcana stacks won't reset at all throughout the 1st cycle of each wave.
So what I said earlier was right. It's better to build BS with zero speed rather than 135 speed to maximize her dmg . Or just make your BS 155 speed to go faster to apply more debuffs
I usually min-max depending on the stage so in this specific case, its pointless for Swan to be fast since she can't get a 3rd action. She still gets a 2nd action through Tingyun so ATK boots it is.

@@Why_AreYou Considering this run basically relies a lot on Tingyun's ULT and having the enemy act within the debuff duration of Epiphany, this min-maxing isn't really applicable to general runs so I would still recommend 134 SPD or 160 SPD to help Black Swan be consistent.

You are right, I don't go too ham when it comes to DoT teams which is why my Kafka and Swan don't have max traces. I just keep them at reasonable amount of investment. Nothing too crazy.

DoT is really strong and fun. Could be my favorite playstyle. I accidentally got Black Swan and I got her lc too but I don't have Ruan Mei and Kafka. I have Asta and e5 Sampo though, is she viable to 3 star the MoC?
Do you have E4 sampo? I was going to request how good this team is in hard content at your level of investment: Black swan, E4 Sampo, Silver Wolf, huo huo (Mono Wind DoT)
Kafka is still hungry for DMG% because her traces mostly give ATK%. Her not needing an EHR body means she opts for ATK body. Include hand's flat ATK and ATK rope ... she has too much ATK sources.

Dreamy can I ask a question, if your team comp provides DMG% Boost to your DPS, is it recommended to use STAT(ATK) sphere instead of Element? Does it mean that if your buffer provide CRIT DMG%, ATK% Boost then ELEMENT sphere is better. Is that right?
It really depends on which character. For example, it is true that for Black Swan, an ATK sphere is better if she is with Ruan Mei. But if Kafka is with Ruan Mei, Kafka still wants a DMG sphere because she still has a lot of ATK% sources. If we're talking about CDMG buffer, then choosing between DMG or ATK sphere still depends but in most cases, DMG sphere would be better.
I yearn to achieve this kind of performance on my partner's acc, do I need to have this exact team setup for this to work, or are there workarounds to achieve basically the same output?
I had heard of the ATK boots Swan route, had the impression that it represents a higher investment strat, so naturally piqued my interest, but then didn't hear ANY of the popular guide makers mention the strat, let alone explain it and when it's optimal. They only show atk boots in infographics, but never address it and simply state that speed is optimal. 1) which is optimal, which should someone who has HuoHuo, Ruan Mei, Swan and Kafka go for? 2) If ATK boots is optimal, how do we explain the fact that no other guide maker (to my knowledge) has elaborated on this strat?
1. It is a lot safer to use SPD boots if you are not into min-maxing tryhard runs. Either go for 160 or 134 SPD. 2. ATK boots is only optimal depending on the strategy. When trying to do 0-cycle runs, you either go for 2 actions or 3 actions on the 1st cycle of each wave. It is extremely difficult to get the 3rd action but getting a 2nd action with ATK boots is fairly easy with Tingyun equipped with DDD and 4pc Messenger. TLDR; SPD boots so you don't have to think about too much min-maxing. ATK boots if you're doing tryhard runs.

I find it hard to get my Swan's speed above my Kafka's (152 before battle) and I don't feel like it makes sense to degrade my Kafka's speed just to allow Swan to go first. In my case, would you recommend ATK boots for Swan or lowering my Kafka's speed? I also wonder if ATK boots is something I could run without hiccups in my day to day as well. Lastly, I prefer minmaxing my chars, I hate the feeling of not fulfilling the potential of a character, but I don't care about zero cycles
@@aleksandar2046 You don't particularly need to go beyond 160 SPD on Kafka so try calculating if you can reduce her SPD. The only reason to go beyond 160 is if you can actually reach 200 SPD. Ideally, Black Swan's final SPD should be at least 1 higher than Kafka so she can apply her DEF shred before Kafka's turn. If this isn't possible, aim for 134 SPD or simply don't use SPD boots at all.
I wouldn't say so unless you have someone like Tingyun as a staple support for your Black Swan then you could replicate this setup. Main reason why I still recommend SPD boots is that, its just much more casual friendly.
Dreamy, isn't Atk sphere for dps units better with Ruan Mei? So you were technically right to pick atk over lightning damage sphere for Kafka. Just heard something about that, not sure.
Depends on how good your alternatives. I don't really know what you have to give suggestions. If you have good alternatives, you might clear with 1-2 more cycles used.

I don't recommend it. I think SPD boots is still much more friendly for general content. If you have the luxury to try both builds, I think you should try both builds and see which one you like more.
I'm not gonna lie, they are so easy to use on auto that they are currently what I use most of the time especially when farming that new cavern of corrosion.
If I can't get kafka to 160, how should I speed tune my black swan to kafka? (Most I can do for her rn is 150 speed 4.2k att). Rn I made black swan the fastest at 145 120 ehr% and dropped kafka w sig down to 131 speed
Honestly that is already good. I'm pretty sure you already tested it yourself and should find no problem. The team setup in this showcase is just optimized for a 0-cycle run.

@@smugweeb53 Here's an example. If there are 0% DEF shred. S5 Resolution gives 9% overall damage boost. S1 Incessant rain gives 12% overall damage boost. In this case, vulnerability is stronger. But let's assume that you already have 50% DEF shred. An extra 16% DEF shred from S5 Resolution gives you 12.8% overall more damage. In this case, DEF shred wins.
Oh yea, I forgot to mention him on my pinned comment. The reason why I'm not building him is because I didn't get him to a decent amount of eidolon (only E2). Also, I'm cost-cutting since I spend too much resources trying to build all characters. I already have Jingliu as my Ice Destruction so I might skip Misha.

Depends. The latter should be better but with Ruan Mei, you can potentially reach 160 speed on the 1st build which is a speed optimized for 2-cycle clears (1 cycle used per wave).
I would say only in this case but some commenter said they get better run with ATK boots (2 cycle clear) than using SPD boots (3 cycle clear) so even I myself is now confused lol.
I use Spd boots but watching your vid using Atk boots makes me want to try it, do I need someone who can buff speed if I use Atk boots? I don’t have Kafka btw
@@paindrop7316 I did explain at the beginning that Black Swan being able to act 2x on the 1st cycle of each wave was due to Tingyun's DDD + 4pc Messenger.
160 speed is a very good optimization if you are doing 2 cycle clear (1 cycle on 1st wave, 1 cycle on 2nd wave). Also helps Swan outspeed a lot of bosses. So try to find that 2 extra speed so your Black Swan sits at 160 speed with Ruan Mei's talent.

Uh, so for smooth brains like me, a question: In which order do Kafka and Black Swan usually want to do what, to work together optimally? Is the skill and ult order in the video alredy optimal? Even for "normal" play, or does anything change?
In most cases, you want Black Swan to move first before Kafka so Kafka benefits from Black Swan's DEF shred. Just that in this specific case, it's impossible for me to make Black Swan faster than Kafka. ULT order doesn't matter much, just make sure that the DEF shred is applied before using Kafka's ULT.
Yes and no. Yes if solo performance and if we're considering how it can get ATK% substats too. No if we account DMG% buffs from supports where ATK sphere could be better with EHR substats.
Can you give me a reason why both could be good together? I know that Himeko applies Burn through any of her attacks but Black Swan has Epiphany which allows her to be independent.

Usually, I RNG Tingyun to get hit once so that she can do Skill-Skill-Basic rotation but if you saw, she had to do Skill-Skill-Skill which costs me a lot of skill points. If I simply RNG'd her getting hit, I wouldn't be so tight with SP.
