It's clearly heavily edited though. I don't know if that was done pre airing on TV or just for here, but it clearly is. Perhaps only to edit out silences, but Ann's hair moves around a lot between cuts.

Coulter doesn't understand that the presidency is not a dictatorship. She also doesn't understand that Congress controls the purse strings of the nation. Trump couldn't build the wall without money. I haven't heard her explain how Trump was supposed to build the wall without money, without congressional funding. But Trump did find a way around that by using money from the military budget. The Dems tried to block that as well, but Trump recently won the court case and the money was released. The wall is getting built.

It isn’t a characterisation of Ann Coulter, or her politics. It is the name a special on Trump’s immigration policies, which featured many journalists, pundits, thinkers and politicians. All interviews for this special were labelled “Zero Tolerance”, even the one with renowned liberal darling Julia Ioffe. They are not doing wrong by Coulter here.

Have to agree with you. Good interview. I definitely don't agree with a bunch of things she says but she needs to be around to keep things going in the right direction. Her assessment of Trump and decision making was wrong here though, it is a bad assessment. The begging baby, she mentions, is a real thing. There is a history of presidents doing their less popular and possibly more extreme promises in their second term as opposed to their first- because they don't have to worry about a second term. In their second term they're focused on "legacy". If Trump thinks has a really extreme idea that he (or some advisors) think will be very effective, but might turn some normie voters off from voting him in, he might do that in his second term. In the first term, presidents are focused on winning a second term, and sometimes that means catering to the middle a little, even when you don't want to. He may also be dangling the wall in front of voters specifically as a second term promise, since he can basically blame it's non-completion on Democrat obstructionism (even though the GOP had majority in his first year) Whether or not he actually does I guess is up in the air, but hopefully he hasn't been totally blind and dumb to everything going on around him these last 3 years, and corrects it in his next term.

@@tickyul Well, Ann has published a series of bestsellers on related topics over the last about two decades. It is unfortunate that way too few people were willing to take what she wrote about to heart seriously enough to do something, but there is hardly anything more that Ann could have done.

@@tickyul Well, I think the 2020 elections will be the turning point. If Trump manages to survive in office, there is a good chance that would buy America a few decades which may be enough for people to come to their senses. If he doesn't, of course, it's game over for the country.

@@tarync6539 dont believe the bullshit - everyone needs something to vote and then you cant possibly vote twice - no one is scamming votes like the republicans say they are - illegal voting is not happening - the only cheating in voting is the republicans trying to block minorities and low income voters from access to voting cuz they know those will mostly be democratic votes, and both sides do abuse gerrymandering.

We just had A building collapse in the French quarter of New Orleans here, killing three people, because of cheap labor. The town where I grew up right outside of New Orleans now looks like Little Tijuana. We need Ann Coulter as the first female president. Our country needs serious help. Or were gonna have a civil war soon.

Jared O did the building really collapse because of cheap labor? Does no one check the workers' effort? Are there no supervisors? Are there no building inspectors on new construction? No codes? And if not new construction, how many floods and termites and years of rot went into this collapse? And you didn't even make a case for the labor being here illegally, you just said 'cheap', meaning that if labor were paid better they would do better work, and that's certainly not the case. People do good work because they want to, because they have an ethic. I am against illegal immigration as much as the next guy, but it serves no purpose to make gratuitous and baseless assertions like this--it just gives the left an excuse to call you/us racist. TRY HARDER, MY GOOD MAN. =) Ann Coulter for President!

There are now a ton of Little Tijuanas all over the US and I really doubt they're going away anytime soon. This started decades ago and it won't end or reverse overnight. But one can only hope.

We, at this time in our history, are lucky to have Ann Coulter. I don't always agree with her; but I always listen to what she says (or writes) and benefit from having done so.

I simply LOVE this woman. She's super intelligent, very beautiful, her politics are "Right On" and she is almost ALWAYS (99.9% of the time) CORRECT! I would marry her in a heartbeat, if she would have me*. She is about the only woman in the entire world I could tolerate yelling at me to "GO GET A G*DDAMN JOB!!!" every day for the rest of my life.
