Evap charcoal canister woes again on my SCAG Cheetah zero turn mower with Kohler EFI engine. You can see a little water this time as it accumulated in the canister. The gasoline tanks and cans had zero water in them after testing with a water test paste on a weighted string.
Did water accumulate in the evap canister after the 10 percent ethanol gasoline absorbed it through the air? Could have.
If I leave the gas caps a little loose, the siphoning does not happen.
Leaving the gas caps loose defeats the entire purpose of the fuel evap system.

I'd move the canister up so that its not below the fuel tank. I wonder how much pressure the tank must be under to be forcing fuel through that hose.

It's no secret how I feel about scag, and it's not just me lately. I heard the new engines are cheap chinese made by Loncin (junk) with the scag name on it and they jacked up the price $500 more than the Kawasaki's. I'm going to start calling them Scam instead of Scag. Just goes to show you that the customer isn't their concern, the money in their pocket is, and they will push anything out the doors these days.

That happens normally when you fill the tank over the white sleeve. If it wasn't over the white sleeve and still doing it then you have an issue. Those cannisters are nothing but a hassle and in my opinion useless.

Can someone tell me is it ok to still used the mower until you change the carbon canister if you only have one not two? Thanks

You could make sure it's empty and give it a try. I still run my OEM canisters, but I have had to empty them before then just let them dry real good. Thanks for watching!

@@pmtips4482 there nothing in it just the line on top connection broke. did order a new one because it's all one piece on the tank
