Zero Turn Mower engine keeps flooding 

I have the 22.5hp on my Toro with just under 20 hrs total run time. Overall quite happy with it's performance other than the cold starts. About 90% of the time I get a good puff of oil out of the exhaust when starting it filling my shed with smoke. It clears up quickly though just annoying. Don't think its an oil control ring issue but maybe faulty valve seals. Haven't brought it to my dealers attention but may before the warranty is up in 2 years. I changed the oil around the 3 hr mark a bit earlier then the factory recommendation, but really don't think this affected the breakin. Running Amsoil Small Engine Oil 10w-30 and it's staying nice and clean with no consumption.

Whats the little thing that held water? Whats it called i think my needs replaced. My motor keeps flooding.

I use Exmark mowers I bought a new radis s with Exmark radius Mower with Exmark engine I love it but I'm getting fuel in my exhaust a mechanic at the dealership told me thay was made by Kawasaki thanks for the video

My dad fills his tank and all the fuel empties out. Checked the oil and it’s slap full of fuel. Going to take the carb apart tomorrow and see if the needle is stuck or maybe his float is damaged too.

I have the exact same engine on my Toro time cutter… it’s actually a Briggs and Stratton engine!!!

Could you source a new float! I’d check the pump diaphragm,too.

Toro makes a lot of their own push mower engines now that are actually pretty nice. They seem to have masked the actual maker but I am suspecting they are putting it under their own brand. Expensive parts, but they are available at least

Hello, I have this machine (motor)like your working on.. maybe you can give me a clue Ive had to replace the head, piston and rings,Rod ,head gasket because it dropped a valve and destroyed all that stuff I have it back together now and for some reason it cant keep the fuel flowing into the carb I mean the vaccume is real weak like i can barely suck on the hose like its a straw that goes into the intake and theres my fuel it pumps nice then so yes it has to be a vaccume thing wouldnt you say? Compression is like 150 psi of course the newly ring side is higher not by much and lets see I replaced gaskets on bottom because it Was leaking at O ring sump pump but all is good noW even the top EGR stuff Where the reed type valve is at along with that top gasket, also I can place my hand over the 2 barrel intake and feel the suction and the thing pumps fuel again very nicely...when I loosen the oil dip stick and run it that thing moves up and down which seems normal..Anyway it will run about a minute give or take ,can you help me with some clues? Now I did use plain gasket sealant on the intake manifold and valve covers because I had no gaskets but it is the good stuff could this be the problem tho? Let me know on anything to help Thank you! I have been looking at the Toro Timecutter 42, and it appears to have the same engine, so who knows, it may be a Toro engine.

Motor exactly like my toro . Mine just started skipping. Where do I start at? Two years old. Had been running ethanol mixed gas. Drained all of that out, but still skips? Coil,or spark plugs wires?

Toro partnered with Loncin on this 708cc v-twin specifically for their zero-turn mower. Those who call it 'cheap' simply because it is manufactured in china are ignorant of the facts. It is well engineered and has proven very reliable compared to kawi fr, kohler 7000 or briggs engines of a similar intended use. Rather than calling it cheap, it probably in fact costs considerably more than these others - if not for the Chinese government subsidizing the US import fees

Not sure who makes them but Toro branded engines are made in China by loncin. Maybe that one is if it is not a B&S/ Honda/ Kohler.

Loncin-china, they will put your name on one. Mower builders cutting corners they probably getting 10 loncin's for the price of one briggs, 20 for the price of one kawasaki. Seen a couple with broke rods and full of oil seem about as crappy as a briggs/ kohler courage That general motors type of no quality. These days if it ain't a kohler command, kawasaki, you ain't got much. Been seeing a lot of kawasaki's bending pushrods here in alabama.

I don't know about anyone else but I didn't see any fuel sloshing in the float in this video. I have the same prob with flooding even though the engine starts right up on one cylinder. The flooded cylinder still have fuel dripping from the bottom of the spark plug even tho' the plug has washer and I tightened it down good. Still trying to figure out what's going on with it...
