Awesome break down and totally agree.I had a chilli for awhile when they first hit the USA it’s such a underrated boat good to see you giving it some love buddy. I think it Got overshadowed with all the new HalfSlice that hit the same time in my opinion. I felt It’s like a throwback to the older days in a modern package. Also feel a Kayak like this really will make you a better paddler in the long run because does not do just like you said “take care of you” I think we are getting way to many of those kayaks out there that just takes care of you…

@@DownstreamV I was thinking about that the other day seems what we have seen over the past 2-3 years companies have been pushing for a big boat that just takes care of you downriver and there’s few more on the way 🤔 don’t want to call any out.But it goes back to the podcast I did with Corran about boats/creekers for beginners good or bad I have mixed opinions on it? I would definitely be down to revisit this topic because we paddle so many different brands so we have a different opinion…

Exactly my thoughts, Matt & Wade. Bigger boats build confidence, sure, but not as much, long term dialed skills to crush whatever water you want. I’ve never been as on point with my balance, posture, technique, carving and sheer shredding as demo’ing Cascade Raft & Kayak’s Large Chili. ➡️Who else reading here wants one of these as badly as I do? Zet needs to know. Pipe up here. Compared to my much loved Ripper 1.0 Large, (a Camry), the Lg Chili is a Porsche in eddy turn performance, carving, precision placement within a rapid, & accelerating out of boof landings/watermelon seeding. Within 5 attempts of dialing in a stern squirt I was vertical, hands over head, balancing in a stern stall. I am just an average passionate boater not some phenom in these vids. Slalom-esque down river slice designs like this just make you a better boater so quickly. Pipe up here if u want one. C’mon Zet. That Ninja is rad as slimmer competition compared to the Puff Steeze for class v slicing, but the Chili Large will sell in bigger numbers. How many of paddlers in the market paddle V versus IV? There’s your math and dollar bills.
