The shoot chain Gouenji and Kidou used is called Twin Boost F, it’s a combo shoot like Dragon Tornado, specifically between Twin Boost and Fire Tornado. The final Shoot chain between The Phoenix and Fire Tornado though is as of yet unnamed, but the fan name for it is ‘Final Tornado’ which is a pretty fire name I can’t lie. And get strapped in bro, it’s only going up from here.
Gotta give Megane credit tho, he knew full well he stood no chance, but went in anyway, if that’s not bravery I don’t know what is, now that’s character development. And Endou used Bakuretsu Punch against Divine Arrows because his God Hand hand got really hurt by God Knows and Reflect Buster.
Also, gotta consider, Majin The Hand is the strongest move that Daisuke was able to complete, so it makes you wonder how what’s the strongest love Daisuke was able to theoretically create, but unable to perfect or even create at all…. It would definitely be some sort of Majin or Hand type move though, that really seems like his ‘thing’ per se haha
It is THE freaking dayyy !!! Omg this match was great from start to finish. I remember when i first watched this one my eyes got teary caz i was so proud of endou like he was finally able to do it !! Season 1 is officially done and this is only the start now you are about to start season 2 and let me tell u it is only going up from here !!! Some of my favorite characters are going to appear in the next season also and i cant wait for u to react to them. please do consider watching 2 episodes everytime. Loved it and thank you so much 🤍
Back in the day Hissatsu techniques were limited to 3 users maximum per technique, even in those where the users create clones of themselves the amount of clones never exceeded 2, so the final Phoenix Tornado which involved 4 players was not considered a legit named technique.
There's quite a lot to say about these two episodes, so I'll try to fill in as much as I can when comparing it to the games. For Endou being told that his grandfather was killed by Kageyama, it was told just a bit earlier in the game for Inazuma Eleven 1. A little after the Sengoku Igajima match but WAY before the Zeus match, and just when Kidou joined the team, Natsumi presents everyone documents from the chairman of Raimon. The documents detailed that Kageyama was responsible for the Inazuma Bus accident 40 years ago. He also added that Kageyama was responsible for Gouenji's sister getting into a coma and Endou's grandfather being killed. Endou was dumbfounded and angered by this truth, and Hibiki, along with Onigawara, decided to reveal the entire truth of the Inazuma Bus accident to everyone else. Also, I HAVE to give praise the GOAT Yasunori Mitsuda here for two of my favorite Inazuma Eleven themes: Holy Ground (build-up orchestra) and The Crusade of Gods (Zeus main battle theme). As for the Zeus match, it went something like this in the game: Instead of Kageyama being in his little evil villain office, he actually decides to show up on the field with the Zeus players. Before the match even began, the managers were apparently nowhere to be seen on the pitch yet. A cutscene then switches over to the managers in the Raimon changing room, with Natsumi insisting that Zeus is using some kind of military-grade serum to strengthen themselves. They then head to the Zeus changing room and find out that the door is locked, so they try to look for a key of some kind. While walking, they overhear some guards talking that the serum is meant to be called "ambrosia," and the guards head into Kageyama's office to drop off the Zeus changing room key. The managers then sneak into the guard room and find Detective Onigawara, who is looking for evidence to prove Kageyama is a criminal. Detective Onigawara then tries to advise they should head back to the pitch, but Natsumi, seemingly having grown as a character ever since Endou's personality rubbed off on her, insisted they should help. Onigawara then agrees and then eventually makes a distraction in the corridor to force one of the guards to call for backup from the other two who were guarding Kageyama's office door. The managers then quickly snuck into Kageyama's office to take the key and went back to the Zeus changing room. At this point, the first half of the Zeus match ended. Oh, and fun fact: the effect of the ambrosia that Zeus was using the in the game for Inazuma Eleven 1 basically jusy gave them infinite TP, so they could just spam their special moves (and no, you are not actually scripted to lose three goals that match, though it could be possible, but you can still also score on them even when they have infinite TP). The managers then make it inside the Zeus changing room and replace all of their ambrosia with regular water. The managers then finally get back before the second half began, and both the Zeus players and Kageyama were shocked at this realization. Interestingly, Aphrodi was still pretty confident despite the drawback of not using the ambrosia. Endou then remarks that both sides can now play fairly - to which Aphrodi responds, "Ha! Bring it on, Raimon Soccer Club... No... Inazuma Eleven!" After the match ends, Hibiki walks over to Kageyama, who is clearly frustrated and defeated at Zeus' loss. Hibiki then says that, "Someone who has never lost can never understand the true meaning of victory." Endou then believes that they really have become the true Inazuma Eleven, but Gouenji then insists that the legend "begins now" with the Inazuma Tower's lightning bolt shining once again. Now, onto the good and bad of this match (for the anime at least): Pros: - Majin The Hand. No questions asked. They did pretty a good job building it up here in the anime than the game where in the game Endou kinda just obtains it to stop Flame Weather Vane/Fire Rooster from the Inazuma Eleven Veterans during practice with very minimal build-up which I found very lame. Because apparently, Triple Defense in the games is apparently *stronger* than Majin The Hand. Here, you had Endou learning about it, constantly standing back up when knocked down, and the main theme playing just before he was about to do a Naruto scream to poetically stop God Knows. You could feel POWER behind the move; one of the real highlights of the Football Frontier arc. - Holy Ground and The Crusade of Gods. Need I say more? - Raimon comeback. Cons: - Plot armor abuse. What the hell are the other Zeus players doing, especially Raimon is actually making a believable comeback?! Like, the only Zeus players who seem to be doing anything are the following: 1. Afuro "Aphrodi" Terumi/Byron "Aphrodite" Love 2. Hera "Hera" Tadashi/Henry "Hera" House (the one who did Divine Arrows) 3. Demete "Demeter" Yutaka/Jonas "Demeter" Demetrius (Reflect Buster) 4. Deio "Dio" Geki/Danny "Dionysus" Wood (Mega Quake defender) 5. Posei "Poseidon" Donichi/Paul "Poseidon" Siddon (Zeus goalkeeper) - Giganto Wall. This is a bit of a personal one, but I feel like the anime kind of butchers this move. In the games, when using Giganto Wall, it actually shows the goalkeeper turning into a *giant* to slam the ball down. Here, they kinda just do it normally. - Why didn't they try using Inazuma Break? For the new shooting moves they pulled out here in the Zeus match, the one pulled off by Gouenji and Kidou, it's supposed to be called Twin Boost F but the worst part about this move is that they NEVER use it again, like, what? For that Fire Tornado + The Phoenix combination they pulled off near the end, it's supposed to be a shot chain. Shot chains were not added until Inazuma Eleven 3, so there's that. Overall, Season 1/the Football Frontier arc was very enjoyable. It's got some slip ups here and there; it wasn't all bad, but the next season/arc of the events of Inazuma Eleven 2 is often considered better than this season/arc. Cool episode (oh, and Kageyama's reign of terror isn't quite over just yet). 😎
