Chinese badminton player Zheng Siwei is preparing for Paris 2024, hoping to mark his first Olympics since becoming a father by winning a first gold medal at the games.
Zheng and his partner Huang Yagiong are three-time mixed doubles World Champions. They reached the final at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago, only to lose to compatriots Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping.
In July 2022, Zheng became a father, and his son appeared at their training base in March, drawing more attention than the world champion. Zheng says his son loves to play badminton, even at an early age, and his racket has quickly become a favorite toy.
