I just got this gimbal and it's nice ! Except for the keyframe motion control function on the app, it is way better on the DJI app. What monopode did you use to emulate a crane ?
@@meriredetripsandclicks3153 Yeah I wish I had a little more time to jump into the software but I didnt get a chance. As for the monopod, I used an older one (but quality one) I have, very similar to this one: amzn.to/2smL2MN
I got this one in April last yea, still in box, SHAME on me! Approach / avoidance conflict, you have given me the nudge 🍷 Have the DJI Pocket 2 GoPro Hero 10 Lumix S5, all with great IBIS etc, not to mention Software solutions like Resolve Studio 18, Mercali 6 But still, some moves need a gimbal to plan and execute. How do you think it will go with the S5 + SIRUI S35 Anamorphic lens? CHEERS, LIKED👍
Thanks for shooting a phenomenal video on the Weebill S. Your use of a skateboard, monopod, and comments at the end were objective and very helpful. I believe that for many years to come we will still need gimbals-the technology for stabilizing cameras just is not there yet. I hate more equipment but so far there is no camera on the market that can create truly smooth footage that could not be improved with a gimbal. Thanks, again!!!
Hey Ben, I've been thinking about buying this gimbal lately. The only thing that’s a problem for me, are these jerky movements while doing a parallax shot. Do you know if this is a thing you can fix by changing the settings? My ronin s does these moves perfect, but it’s too heavy for shooting with it all day long. Nice video btw. 🤙🏽
Nice vid and review man. I use the smoove mobile phone gimbal myself. Does the job for what I need really, but I think a camera and gimbal upgrade might be on the cards in the future.
I just bought one for my G85 today. It took me hours to figure out how to put it together and get it balanced. The instructions were garbage. If it wasn't for several videos on RU-vid I wouldn't of partially figured it out. Had to take a break from it because I was getting a little angry. It seems to great though from everyone's review?? I wish the instructions were better for the modes. Ehh.. guess I'll keep playing with it. Great footage with yours !!
After travelling with my Ronin S I'm definitely interested in something that can lock up the motors. With that feature do you feel secure to travel with this gimbal without a special case for it?
Nice! Thanks! I didn't really have much time (or patience) to fiddle with it, I knew I could have been adjusted, but I literally had a few days with it and wanted to see how it performed pretty much out of the box. Appreciate it!
Garry SJ I have always set it to zero, but make sure your speed is not too high otherwise every little movement will show. Setting it to zero does mean you get slight wobble if you are not that stable, but I rather have slight wobbles than sudden jerks.
@@benmack No I meant being able to directly use zoom via the gimble without the add on (flaky) motor. Ronin Sc will do with certain Sony power zoom lenses but it appears that Zhiyun does not have good integration with Sony cameras
@@benmack I suspect that this may work at some point if they can get better integration with Sony. As I mentioned this works great on Ronin SC. Too bad the Ronin cant handle heavier loads :-)
