[Lighter and Princess 点燃我，温暖你] Zhu Yun's university life just began, but it was disrupted by the arrival of the bad boy, Li Xun, who overturned her world. Li Xun, who appears like a rebellious good-for-nothing, is actually a programming genius. However, the two of them gradually learn to appreciate each other's talent and knowledge after a few interactions. When senior Fang Zhi Jing tries to pick on Zhu Yun, Li Xun defends her and even invited her to join her programming team. Together, they won the championship of the programming competition. In the process, they fall in love and get together despite the differences in their family circumstances. However, just when their business plan is about to succeed, a life-changing incident occurs. Fang Zhi Jing inadvertently causes Li Xun's sister to get into a car accident, causing Li Xun to hit him out of fury and was sentenced to jail. Zhu Yun refuses to give up on Li Xun, waiting for him to get out of jail and helping Li Xun defeat his business rivals and snatch back his company. When he decided revenge her sister's dead at the same time apart Zhu Yun ... but the way he choose really hurt her.. but something in her heart make to her looking for an explain..😢😢😢.. but this is the beginning to clear all misunderstood between them

Because he doesn't think he deserves to be with her, since he went to prison. And he assumed that she moved on from their love story, dating someone else, which was not true. Watch the drama, it is really good!

Their love story was nice in the beginning. Both were showing signs that they were interested in each other, right upto the episode where Xu Lina wants to meet him to confess. Zhu Yun then goes the Meridith Grey way of "Pick me, Choose me" etc. Girl you were a catch until you became so desperate and forced yourself into his life. After that too, the prison track didn't make much sense to me. Li Xun only bruised the guy temporarily, like he was able to live normally later. What was the point of damaging his career and going to jail for 3 years? He could have had a way smarter revenge. Meanwhile Zhu Yun suffered so much time and again, with her parents, depression, her love basically abandoning her and lying about their relationship. She still wanted to help him and gave up her career abroad. I see Zhu Yun going to great lengths for Li Xun throughout the drama while Li Xun liking her but always being reluctant to put her first.

@@slothbear1845 I'm not questioning the legal punishment but why did he wait for so long, hurt Zhu Yun, make everyone hate him and then destroy himself? It was not heat of the moment decision but he had time to think. Someone as smart as him could have thought of many ways to get revenge once he calmed down. Secondly yes, he was great guy, not perfect and I didn't have any complaints with his role in the love story. Zhu Yun could have been a little less desperate and things would have moved more organically.

@@allo2799 It shows their immaturity. He was young, immature and desperate. He lost his family and the last thread that he was holding onto was his sister. However, because of that guy, he lost his sister. He might not be the one who killed her, but it was his who created the whole situation which killed her and separated from him. He was at that point, where his life and reputation didn't mattered to him. All he wanted was a revenge and when all things are at odds against you, one resorts to violence which gives you momentarily happiness and pride and feeling of satisfaction to see the other person in pain. He knew that he will be implicated but he has planned the escape while handing the company to his friend who he thought to help him afterwards in settling down and getting out of the jail probably. But Gao being a wicked man, revealed his true self by stealing his hard work and betraying him. At that time, he realized that all his efforts went in vain and rather than taking revenge on the culprits, he got played by them and ruined his life. The whole drama showed their wrong actions, it's consequences and their growth as character. This is why this drama is so successful. It showed that no character is white or black. Even the villain of the drama, Gao had something good about him, the male lead had issues with characters as well. I feel that it's a well-written drama which shows no character is perfect, you make mistakes, learn from them and change for better. That's what good character is.

I truly believe he had made his peace with the relationship. Completely given up cause to be fair she deserves better everyone knows. It's just that seeing that she wants him, and her life would probably be happier (not necessarily better) with him in it he decided to go all in and love her. I do wish they hadn't made him so mean to her and her so willing to take whatever he gave her.

He does see the pain, and feels incredibly awful. There is so much he did not know. But he does the right thing here because he needs to honor how she feels and she tells the other man that she does not want to see him at this time. Watch the entire drama. It is well worth your time. There is a great quote from one of my favorite authors, Frederick Buchner. "It is less the things they say, than things they leave unsaid, that split old friends apart." Both of them have left a lot unsaid when their paths crossed after being apart for over 3 years.

Zhu yun also had some fault. Remember the 2 episode the painter said " li xun still is in you heart, i don't want to compare myself with Li xun " then she replied he is better than li xun. How can there be a comparison between the painter and Li xun if he is just a friend. In their conversation it seemed she had dated him in abroad😂. Moreover she literally lived with him together. How would you react if you see your love one living with someone else? I agree he pushed her away in the name of protection, but she kept chasing him and helping him just to show that she was with the painter. It was not fair for both male leads, she loves li xun but was dated and living together with her friend.. and in 30 episode when the painter invited her to go with him franch she couldn't even refuse at that moment. I am so confused with her and the painter's relationship.

I would guess, that Zhu Yun gave the condition to her parents that if they let her see Li Xun (in prison) , she'll go abroad. The painter was a family friend that her parents were rooting for her. She was young, and an obedient daughter. This was her only way to see Li Xun again 😔

" don't marry the one you love, marry the one who loves you" The painter loves her. If Li Xun didn't love/ want her after all, the painter was going to be her partner in life. And , in some aspects, the painter IS better then Li Xun. Ask yourself WHY she called the painter when she felt sick.... because she didn't belive LiXun would come. And he probably would not have.

@@yongiesparkle 1. she does marry the one she loves in the end, but only after he decides he wants it too. That would be ideal, but reality is not always like that. And at this point of the story, from Zhu Yun`s pov, it isn\t clear that Li Xun will ever want that. 2. Clearer stance on the painter ? WHY ? what exactly does she owe Li Xun? Didn't he broke up with her ? didn't he insult her parents and pretend to cheat on her ?didn't he pushed her away over , and over again ?....... didn't he just ridiculised their past relationship, in front of everyone, saying it was just her wishfull thinking ? 3.When you are alone and heartbroken, you NEED someone like the painter around you. And it is not like the painter does not know he is losing on this, he knows she loves Li Xun... but he is inlove with her. He sticks around to help her, even if he knows she does not ... and he will be around every time she needs someone... because that is what real love looks like.
