I feel like we look for approval in our spiritual search, realize it was within all along and never really needed the reassurance, but it was helpful. Yes, I blather. 🤙
Thank you for your efforts, I am realizing I figured out these things a long time ago, studying these literature has been a process of mostly remembering this wisdom.
Every time I'm taught something through Spirit, it is confirmed by Far Eastern philosophies. This is so comforting to me because I was just saying to my husband that no one I know, or any of the spiritual teachers I follow on YT are talking abou the things I'm learning, so I must be mistaken... ...then a video like this comes up. Much gratitude to you.
Quality content as always here's some notes 147- I don't question (what is, why, ect.), I see no wonder, wandering freely. 151- There is no natural function, that is to say no inherent means to an end result. We see the motion of a directionless process (a developmental state both P. & as/in motion), a field growing freely.
The Zhuangzi is the best book ever. It's all about acceptance. Every story seems to be laden with more than one meaning. Now if I could just forget words. (I still look up and think "sky.")
i really like the juangzi quote from your book, something like: "a man can not be made to suffer, if he does not prefer riches over poorness, and does not prefer life over death".
Thank you Jason as always so profound many thanks 😊 🙏 let there be peace let there be love for all beings universal 🙏 namaste om 🕉 shanti shanti shanti 🕉 🙏
Excellent Jason, this great Taoist sage Zhuangzi's Wisdom on Life After Enlightenment is a wonderful expression of living in the natural state free of all man made acquired ideas, labels and concepts of what we 'think' life should be. Unequaled, some more dialogues of him and this teaching will be very much appreciated. Thanks and praises for your great work in speaking authentic spirituality and sharing with the world at large. Cheers!
Such a liberating teaching. Thank you 🙏 The practice of being present with no judgement of anything totally shuts the ego mind down with it’s feelings of being obligated to judge everything all the time. Accepting this is like letting go of a heavy weight of energetic mental chains. What a relief it is to learn that I’m not obligated to participate in the almost constant labeling and judging of even the most ridiculous observations. There is peace in every step 🙏
The amazing thing is reading the book means you are giving life to Zhuangzi again because his consciousness when he produced these philosophies that made it into the book is now transferred into you, and you carry it with you throughout your own life. Philosophy is truly the path to immortality.
I have one philosophy that emerged out of a series of challenging circumstances and experiences in my personal life. "You have everything you need and you don't need everything you have." Your description at 8:04 of Lao Tzu's advice to the traveler made me realize how Taoist this particular philosophy is. It's a very nuanced philosophy that rings true in all of our lives in many different ways, and one that allowed me to free myself from my own worldly restraints.
Wow Dear Jason I am so busy with my studies have not had a chance to watch your stuff now over my break i did and you are getting so famous wow so many subscribers congratulations and thank you 😊
Thank you… I’ve been suffering with long covid for 4 years and deeply entered the spiritual realm of realizing my true nature. So many in non duality say one should be able to heal themselves and have a healthy body. It has made me feel like a total loser because I have tried everything. So much letting go and meditation etc…. This video just RELEASED all of that nonsense. If I put no right or wrong on this, than I am going through embodiment just perfectly. Wow…. Thank you!
I'm there with you, there's been ailments that I've been trying to heal myself from but to no avail yet. My gut, my inner known says that its supposed to be extremely easy. Yet I'd like to add to your story that there's a definite choice about your quality of life. People like to say we've got free will, which I don't necessarily or fully believe in. But one thing I HAVE notice is that we can choose to go forward, or sort of run away from the problem and stay stuck in that cycle. There's one ultimate truth that I found and that is that the right direction is always on foot in front of the other, forward. You go through things, allow them, even if they are unsolvable. There's always more to be learned. If you're still tempted, and don't know his name (he's pretty famous) try Dr. Joe Dispenza. Also, and I know its hard cause I do it too, but don't measure your issues by someone elses - they're unique. Bless you and much love.
Thanks for showing us the Zhuangzi's Wisdom on Life After Enlightenment. Indeed, Zhuangzi's philosophical ideology on freedom emphasizes the concept of naturalness and spontaneity, advocating a life free from societal constraints. His teachings centred on the idea of embracing one's true nature and harmonizing with the Dao, advocating inner contentment over external ambitions.
This is absolutely wonderful teaching explained incredibly well by you Jason. Thank you for sharing with us always hthese powerful teachings to get us back to our true original nature and likewise the nature of reality which are one. 🙏🏽 Know and abide as you are and be the freedom you already are...
Please Jason bro, more from this sage, gratitude for your great podcasts, allways a delicacy to listen to you, my bunny loves those rabbits holes to explore 🐰
we were all in this state as children, free of labels but without awareness. Its not creating anything new, we already are that just we need freedom from the thoughts. Any any thought is a label. Enlightened life is eternal wonder as intellect can only function in the world of objects but not in I am. Thanks to video author, this knowledge is precious.
Talk about labels. Sometimes when I watch you I have to close my eyes because it doesn’t seem right such wisdom in so young. Thank you for the hard work and dedication to teaching the rest of us
Hi Jason, I really enjoyed this video (as I do all of yours!) - what is the name of Zhuangzhi's book that you reference. I can't find it in the transcription.
Living without opinions seems difficult... impossible. Yet I don't think that is the way. Freedom is living in the moment all of the time, even with opinions in the moment. The distinction between freedom and an average person would be that the free person isn't attached to opinions. Opinions can come and go in the moment. How could one live a desireless life? It doesn't seem possible. If an enlightened person desired to eat ice cream and didn't get it, there would be no disappointment. Whereas a non-enlightened person might feel bad because they were attached to the outcome of the desire for ice cream.
Interesting (but because I don't feel the need to read such writings anymore), because I've never heard of Zhuangzi. I have read many books in a practical way a long time ago, and there is one scripture that appeals to me the most and that is the Asthavakra samhita. It is nice to hear that there are such beautiful wise texts (in all traditions). And, by the way, well spoken. :)
Daoism is a very adaptable and flexible faith. It has a lot to offer the modern age. People must have faith in themselves before they can progress on the Spiritual Path. The route to Enlightenment is not easy, but neither is it unattainable...which is not always the case with disciplines like Zen or other schools of Buddhism. Kung-fu Zi or Confucius was primarily concerned with social hierarchy, etiquette and social status, whereas it didn't provide the extra dimension that Daoism does. Laozi was probably closer to the Buddhist bhiksus or monks in his retreat from society, whereas Zhuangzi was concerned with 'living' and what happens externally doesn't have to block us from being liberated or free. We don't retreat from life, we embrace it!
I don't know if I can fully agree that beauty and ugliness doesn't mean anything in nature. There is attraction and repulsion, disease usually looks ugly one could say and is repulsed to maintain a healthy species. Youth usually looks (sexually) attractive to stimulate reproduction. We also find flowers attractive for good reason. Other side is that beautiful looking species can be very dangerous too. But I'm sure that we humans can override this all with reason and consciousness
Showing people their labels. How could anybody object. Surprisingly they do and quite angrily. Don’t laugh at them when they do as it doesn’t help. It seems to conflict with the value they have of them selfs. Without that they have nothing.
Hi Jason, you seem to think we are currently in Kali Yuga. What do you think of Sri Yukteswar & Yogananda's assertion that we are currently in ascending Dwapara Yuga, which started in 1900? The cycle is 12,000 years. I'm mainly refering to his explaination in the intro of The Holy Science book (you can find pdfs easily online).
The realization itself is beyond good and evil. But it is only reached when you have some level of detachment. That's why it is dangerous to start a family. That's why it is dangerous to kill someone. Starting a family is seen as a good thing... so maybe there is still a way... maybe the attachment is such they leave you be...you can understand they are on their own path and do not need you... then detachment is possible and you attain what you seek. Murdering someone is seen as a bad thing... although it is still reachable, it has become almost impossible... you are attached to something that will not offer any resolve... you might see the light, but back in the world... it's not going to be easy. All sins are forgiven at the brahman. But you have to get there. Focus hard.
I think what you're saying is what the bible meant when man was cast down from Eden and was to know "good and evil". We are now all trying to get back into Eden. Eden being oneness, the natural state or the garden. Where animals and plants reside as they are always freely moving with "what is" instead of judging. Only man has the ability (sometimes to detremental effect) to "judge".
How I understand all this, is that you are an avatar for some godhead (doesn't really matter which one, they point to the same anyway). The world isn't real... no good and bad... this is enlightenment... the world falls away... When you return to the world... it cannot cling to you like it used to... maybe it still clings... but not like it used to... If the world is a painting... you are the painter. Strive on diligently.
