I moved abroad 13 yrs ago and been trying ever since to make a take-away that tastes as good as my local back in Blighty...Never managed it until I found you two! Big big love to you both... 😍😘
Can’t find where else to post but anyhow, I just wanted to wish you both and all members of your family a very happy new year. Look after yourselves and keep cooking! Big love from Dorset.

I LOVE mushrooms 🍄 🍄🍄 and I will definitely be giving this one a go. I'll be using butter, fresh garlic and adding cream at the end! But apart from that, as per recipe :) All the best to you and yours, keep well 👍
First I must say, I really like that you cook with your mom. She makes this video fun to watch. I too love mushrooms. I will certainly fix it your way. Your mom said it is really crunchy. That means it is really good.
I've been watching since ur clip on how to prep ur beef an freeze it......(spot on).....u have made cooking for me and my family so much more enjoyable
Cooked this one today for lunch, absolutely delicious. Meant to take a photo or two, but too hungry! Brilliant dish, really easy and quick to do, now gonna be a regular one, thanks Chin and Choo. 😋☺🍺🍏🍎
I've just put a post on my fb page explaining how crap mine turned out. They just turned out far too dark so after following the recipe in the book the only answer I have after watching this video is the fact they are using a nonstick clean frying pan? I used my well-used wok which I'm sure caused too much darkening due to the surfacing use?
Is there a significance of the swallows on your hands? My dad had them and told me a tale of why he had them, but i cannot remember what it was, just wondering if a swallow on both hands means anything?
Love you guys. Another good one - mushroommmmms 👍👍👍 Just noticed the amount of things I do in my cooking that I've learnt from you guys since I started watching. Thanks Chin & Choo, you're flippin great 👏👏👏. Tim.
I've just ordered your book! Thank you so very much for all the videos :) We've already made our own 'aged garlic' (that we use all the time), egg fried rice, chicken/mushrooms, and I can't wait to get cooking with your book! We love the cooking, the fun and all the fantastic tips! Keep it up you top top team and all the best!
Hey, great videos, I love them. I keep watching this and think I am correct in saying that you don't mention starch when listing the ingredients and then you add it at the end. What is this starch, and is there a substitute?
Do you have a recipe for mushrooms in black bean sauce or should I cook these then swap them out for the chicken in your chicken in black bean sauce? :)
Top work got to try this! I'm guessing that fried onions are almost exactly the same method? Oh and side point, does all MSG have the same flavour/effect?
Hey Chin & Choo. Longtime fan, beginner Wok Waggler! Quick question, when making Mushroom Fried Rice do you pre-cook and season the mushrooms like in this video, or do you just throw regular mushrooms into the usual fried rice recipe? Ta!
Ziang's Food Workshop The chicken was in thin strips or threads and was very tender, I imagine pre poached, the mushrooms were similar to your dish ie quartered and the sauce was a thin creamy white.
Anyone know of a good healthy chinese mushroom curry recipe video? I loved my local chinese takeaways mushroom curry but health issues and the pandemic has made it impossible to both get and for my body to digest anymore. But I can't forget that taste. So good. So I want to attempt to make it myself. Any ideas? Preferably kitchen idiot foolproof.
I went to my local Chinese supermarket and bought the lkk soy sauce. It’s not thick like urs looks 🤷🏼♀️ is there something u do to it or is that normal
So I shook the bottle 😂 and wow what a difference it’s thick. On a side note tho. When I get chicken chow mein from Chinese it has loads of tasty ‘I call it juice’ in the bottom of carton. It’s not thick like a gravy. How do I get that at home when using ur chicken chow mein recipe, don’t get me wrong it’s super tasty but I like it a bit more juicy 😂
Ziang's Workshop - spitting food into frying pans since 1878! Lol, when you did that : Me ded!!!! I'm still wiping away the tears of laughter. I got an induction!! Partially because of you, mostly for brewing but it's SOOOO good. A buffalo 3kw one. I've finally got that wok hei taste on my chow mein** and I can scorch meat so it tastes like it's been on a barbeque. It's such a game changer. Aaaand I cook in the shed because it's crazy steamy or smokey. It smells like a takeaway now! Rah! Cheers! ** I call it chow minge because it really makes a lady I know grimace. He he!
Another fab video guys. Would love to see fried mushroom with mushroom sauce with a side of extra diced mushrooms cooked in a delicious mushroom jus. (mmmmm mushroomlicious chin) cool new kitchen guys, you always teach me something new and keep me laughing every time. Stay safe and happy eating, funky flip flip flops. Peace and love 🤓
Just found your videos,so happy finally someone sees the blessing that msg! Can you recommend a good soy sauce I used to use lee-kum-kee it was so thick it was like glue, but now i find it more watery, I don't know why they changed it! :(
The stuff we sell on the webstore is still thick, the one you get in Tescos is watered down compared to the one in a Chinese super market. The flavour of the hoi sin is off too. But back to your question, Pearl river is very good
Love mushrooms lol will defo give this a try. Love chinese style mushrooms. Oooohhh flashy new kitchen lol. Can't beat a bit of carmalisation on your mushrooms hahahaha
Your mum is in a happy singing mode this evening she us so Great in my eyes. What you don't like mushrooms. O well there's other things out there to like. By the way is that all types of mushroom????.
I’m with you 100% regarding mushrooms and prawns. Love the flavours but the squeaky or slippery texture just puts me off eating them. I wish I liked mushrooms but they almost make me ‘gag’ 😂🤦🏽♀️. I’ll try this recipe and just give the mushrooms to my little one - they will add flavour to the dish-I just don’t want to eat those pesky chunks 😂 x
Mushrooms are amazing, your mad :-) Question: What does cooking wine do? I have never had it explained, people just say it adds flavour. Obviously Sherlock, but is that it?
Ziang's Food Workshop 😂😂😂😂 keep up the work pal... your secrets are literal gold dust. My family are panic buying ingredients to ensure we all keep eating your food. All the best my friend.
If you read my chapter on msg in my book, I use actual science to debunk the poor science that lead to the myths, salt, fat and sugar have been proven to be way worse for you and have been researched less than msg
Lol dam you to are funny has your mum had to much vino today . Got my essentials kit and noodles forgot to order rice wine vinegar I'm dumb but was well quick delivery cheers peace and love
@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop if you wanna check out some pots and pans check this company out there called procook I love there pans I must admit I'm not a fan of tefal
Yo Qin (that's what the cc wrote), love your monkey.... These look tasty, and I love mushrooms. Still laughing at "for mushrooms, you'll need mushrooms". BTW which oil would you use at home, I've picked up groundnut, but I can't really detect a flavour from it.
Hi guys, Your intro absolutely cracked me up. I've often been amused by UTube's predictive texting but you're the first one I've seen to highlight it in such a hilarious fashion. Unlike you Chin, I love mushrooms, so will definitely give this a go. Such a simple recipe too. I do hope that you are coping, business wise, during this time of crisis. We are in lockdown in Spain but everyone is behaving in a very civilised manner. Utube is my only escape, so please keep up the videos. Love and best wishes as always, Mike
