The pass at 1:56 is hands down the most insane pass I have ever seen on a football pitch. Gary Lineker used to talk about Maradona doing keepy uppies by slicing the ball straight up in the air with the outside of his foot, then slicing it straight back up again, over and over again, crazily high. Zidane basically did that in the middle of a match.
Weldone bro. Thank you for showing the younger generation a glimpse of why Zidane was unplayable. Most videos just show clips of his goals, stats. Some of us watched him at his peak.... Zidane was extraterrestrial. I've never seen a footballer make a every match look like his personal training ground.
Immeasurable talent, intelligence, technique and ability to improvise. Zidane is not only the most classical and elegant player ever, but also the greatest maestro in football history! Magician, absolute genius!
Michel Platini: "Technically, I think he is the king of what's fundamental in the game - control and passing. I don't think anyone can match him when it comes to controlling or receiving the ball."
in simple terms...I don't remember see Zidane lose a ball under pressure...on top of that when he is under pressure he comes up with the most amazing pass to the least expected zone... beyond genius...mesmerizing to watch him play.
Yeah I remember I was always feeling we were safe when Zidane had the ball, whatever was going to happen, he was going to manage to keep the ball and pass it on ^^
Or that they are a hit or miss cuz when you don’t watch highlights like these and actually saw the games back then that when he tried this stuff most of the times met the foot of the opposing team
I'm fortunate to be able to watch him play at his peak till his retirement. To me, he's just the god of football, having the ability to totally control of the football. With him in the team, all the players around him will improve like 50%. He makes things easier for his teammates with his intelligence and understanding of the flow of the game. Just a pleasure to witness what he can do in a match.
I'm beplasse long retired but somewhat a pioneer of Zidane montage with "Zidane All in the touch"vids around year 2006. I am speachless in front of this work offering so many rare images many I had never seen before. Thanks
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
Maybe totti clears zidane, but what about seedorf? he's an amazing screamer and then shot 2 screams against buffon, he might not be better than ziane but probably the level of zidane.
Zidane was too good even for his own teammates. More than half of sure shot goals were missed because they couldn’t even how believe Zizou was able to create those chances. The ever majestic; love from Pakistan. 🇵🇰
@@coolyoutubename16 Another NPC pretending like he knows ball who cares he played with stacked teams his entire career. Totti clears him like I said when it comes to football ability, Totti could've played for Real but didn't 'cause he loved Roma if he chose to play for Real he'd been regarded as the GOAT midfielder. Totti was like Modric with shooting ability, simply the best ever. And I was never a Roma fan either Milan was my club back in the day
He had an absurd technique.. Honestly the players of that period all seem to have an absurd technique. Today the level of football is really mediocre. Little technique, only super athletes.
@@sdemosi too much "two-touch pass it sideways" football out of fear of losing possession. I especially miss shots from distance on goal. I'm impressed whenever someone challenges the keeper for a save outside the box, these days... it used to be common technique.
these fancy sh1t wont workintoday football, if these so called ‘legedns’ play in today football doubt you guys would exaggerate them like when they played without outside and physically extreme players
@@NguyenQuang-tm3ou No, it's that todays players don't have the level of skill and don't have the level of creativity to play like Zidane and other players did back then.
@@donsandrano1429No, in no way if we talk about the most complete midfielder in all of history that is without a doubt Lothar Matthäus. But if we talk about magic and enormous technique, Zidane is at the top without a doubt. Neither Messi nor Maradona were at those levels at any time.
@@BakaryDkids nowadays are playing text book game. Akin to play Fifa if you will. Short passes, occasional long passes, do not really dribble past defenders and some other boring traits
Wow. Simply wow. Just when I thought I’ve seen everything Zidane on RU-vid I come across even more magic. These highlights are arguably his most important to make his case as the greatest midfielder of all time.
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
other? this is what i remember zidane for class, elegance, improvisation and complete mastery under pressure. it surely wasnt for banging in tons of goals
I think he meant it's refreshing compared to the other compilations you can find on RU-vid. Not everyone is old enough to have seen him play full games.@@deathoffaces
Genius. Zizou is an all-time classic because he played timeless football. He brought classic technique to modern game. Watch Brazil in 1970 World Cup. Lots of magical long balls and through balls like Zidane’s in this video.
There can never be another Zinedine Zidane cos his qualities were just too many.Is it ball control or passing the ball or dribbling or even scoring? For ball control,it was as if Zizou had a magnet all over his body such that anywhere he uses to control the ball is within his reach. As for passes we could even witness in this video that he could even be backing a player and yet give him a pass, some of his passes dribble his opponents etc.As for scoring,he was not the type that could score too many goals like nowadays players do but when he scores,it will be a classical goal.So Zinedine Zidane just had it all. That is true greatness.
For a young lad who never watched him play live, it would seems like a highlight of his best passes but in reality it was nearly every action, every time he touched the ball which looked like this. He was truly out of this world.
Anybody who plays football , knows that technique is football , I see zidane as the best ever player. Just pure joy to watch every thing he does not just moments every now and then
This dude was the most complete football player of all times in my opinion. Yes Messi and C. Ronaldo had some offensive skills not seen before. But Zidane had it all.
Facts...it's crazy to see people compare iniesta and xavi to him😂 look at those tight spaces and the kind of passes he drops😢😢it's godlike ,no player does it like this

also kudos to his teammates for understanding what the hell was going on...
He was 6'1" and rarely got pushed off the ball. It's well known that he was physically strong. That play-strength is a major reason he was so effective at the highest level. There are lots of players with great technical ability, but few combine it with elite play-strength. Zidane had both. Defenders couldn't physically bully him, so Zidane could do just about whatever he wanted.
Love this video. For once some other moves from Zizou! This ball control, crazy passes, anticipation, vision of the whole pitch, he knew where each player was on the field and anticipated their moves. That's exactly why he's so special!
I have been lucky to have seen Pele, Maradona, Ronaldo of Brazil, & Zidane live. They were the best that ever played the game & Zidane was the cream if the group. The best ever in my book.
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
I feel sorry for the kids today who never saw this era of football, they think the likes of foden, haaland, saka etc are world class, nah this is is what world class looks like. So many good players around at this time, zidane, R9, Ronaldinho, Henry, Roberto Carlos, maldini, baggio, bergkamp, you could list a 100 players + who were genuine world class talent and a joy to watch, now i'd struggle to list 10
he has many great goals and legendary moments but it's the daily genius you see in these types of compilations that really show what a maestro he was. Things that are difficult to do, he not only did with ease but with ridiculous swagger and competence.
You know I found it hard to believe how he casually give those magnificent passes, I mean this is mind blowing I've not seen this version of zidane. Even modric and de bruyne didn't come close
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
Zizu was not just a footballer, he was an artist, pure elegance. Try watching this video on mute but with mozart playing in the background instead and you'll understand exactly what I mean😅😅😅
So mesmerizing to watch how delicate he is to put the perfect amount of weight on the ball. This level of creativity and skill in football nowadays is extinct. A modern world class player compared to 15-20 years ago was average or slightly below average then…
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
@@donsandrano1429You are completely wrong, not even Maradona stood out as much in Italy as Lothar Matthäus did. What's more, Lothar in Inter and Van Basten's Milan completely overshadowed Maradona during his stay in Italy
It took 50 years to find someone able to equal Pelé with Mbappé! Don't take it from me, it's Pelé himself who said it before or after the World Cup 2018 (don't remember exactly). Zidane was unique because of his abilities and his size. Messi, Maradona are both great attacking midfileders but they were/are small which help them a lot in their game. Both can't score with their head.
His timing and feeling for space was incredible. A lot of intuition and instinct. No overthinking just the try to play the best ball in moment and time. Always the possibility of a magical situation with a completely out of the box moment! Wholesome and Outstanding
I'm watching this and quickly re-evaluating who I believe to be the greatest player of all time. I do remember Zizi as a child but wasn't old enough to have the brief moments I saw him sketched into my memory. I wish I could have seen him at his peak as an adult.
👍👍👍👍💪💪💪SUPER,SUPER,SUPER. Как же можно видя эту красоту, эти необычные ассисты, эту скорость мышления, интелект, на эти выходы с трудных положений, и кого-то сравнить с величайшим Зиданом? Нет никого такого уровня. Это космос.
The only one with a better of same level “vision and impeccable pass” as Zidane was Maradona in his Napoli time, Andrés Iniesta in his prime en Messi then and now.
Shame the picture quality doesn't match the great mans talent. He treated every real game like he was on the training ground, outrageous flicks, tricks and passing on any level shows the genius of the guy!! You don't learn that it is natural talent. One of the greatest ever to play the game we call football...
I have never seen a player dominate the midfield like he did since. Not even Iniesta, Xavi, Gerrard, Pirlo, or Scholes. He was like a combination of all of them 5
He has to be the most graceful footballer ever, headbutting aside, he had a nasty streak , but the passing and the movement on the ball are all spot on. Messi and Ronaldo are explosive when they run a game , but Zidane was like artwork , when Zidane ran the game nobody could quite work out how he did it.
People really comparing Jude Bellingham to this man because he's scored some goals for Madrid. Zizou was a transcendent player. He did things we'll never see again. Improvisation and ingenuity that just can't be recreated. Football isn't just about scoring goals. It's an art and way of life that inspires and lifts your soul on a Saturday morning. He will always be the GOAT to me.
Bellingham has just started his career, he has a long way to go. But to say, Zidane will "always be" isn't right as well. There's a good possibility that someone can do things better.
Nah you just can't read. My post says it's my opinion. But carry on thinking Jude will ever be close to Zidane If you don't understand the difference between Zidane and other players I can't help you. @@TheJwwinter
@@FullVenomJacket You just don't get anything. Whatever anyone says is their opinion, you don't have to explicitly say that. I never said Jude is or will be close to Zidane, I don't know. But saying Zidane will always be the goat implies no one ever will be as good as him and that's stupid.
Wow crazy football there. The pass is very relevant about Zidane skills , he could see 360 degrees on the field, always seeing the solution even when it’s back his head, and always he pushes the ball in free space for his partner, showing the way to go, and creating this defense breakthrough to make the difference for the entire team. This, because he has the best right foot ever for ball control, on earth or in air. What a footballer he was !
He does with his legs what we do wit our hands. Blaz uyu akatongozvipengerwawo zvako. Sometimes instead of applauding him you just end up laughing and shaking you head in laughter and end up asking. Is this guy normal. I think we need a documentary on him just we have/need one for Pele, Ali, Bob Marley etc. Thanks a lot to the guy who compiled the genius at work in his office kkkk
