Finally, I have my Zidoo H6 Pro and it's really nice. As I hoped, it is much better than the previous MXQ pro I had, everything is faster, Kodi and Terrarium TV videos open without any problem at all and the BT remote is fantastic. I don't know if this is the best or not, but I can say it's pretty good.

hehe!! Great that you enjoy it. Its definitely a nice machine, still needs improvement but not bad at all hehe!! 😀 I updated mine today and now its able to play Netflix HD and RU-vid 360º 👍 Yep much better than the MXQ 👍 Enjoy it !! 😀

Sorry, a bit late but is it really capable of Netflix 4k? I can never believe marketing on these things. Also, when you updated did 4k H.265 10bit playback improve? I'm on the market for a new TV box, since I got a new 4k hdr capable TV.

Hi Roberto, thanks for your answer. Well, I use my current tv box mainly for watching movies and TV shows on Kodi, so I guess h6 is good enough for that and no doubt it's better than mxq pro I have now. One question, I can't use my 250 GB external hard disk with mxq, will it work with Zidoo? I have Friends, Seinfeld, Cheers and Frasier there and love watching them offline.

Nice review, I noticed some stutter on 4K streaming and playback on another review but the reviewer didn't pick up on it, I'm glad you did 👍 I might hold off a little to see if zidoo send out an update. Good work .

Hey Roberto, I did saw another guy on youtube complaining about the wifi of this device. It appears this Zidoo H6 Pro might have a problem with the wifi, I hope it is just firmware issue. Because without the wifi pb it is a very good box for the price! Thank for your work.

Hey Neurobio, im afraid that probably its not only firmware and not only my bad unit. After i reviewed the unit i contacted Zidoo support and so far no answer regarding the wifi so that is not a good sign, maybe someone crewed up and did not test properly this metallic housing 😊

I agree with the metal housing I have had mine for a week and it’s so up and down one moment it will play movies fine WiFi good then all sudden it will buffer like crazy bc WiFi signal is bad it’s so bsck and forth I contacted zidoo via email from there website but no reply been a week already. Maybe if enough of us complain they will do something about it. Please keep us informed rj if u hear anything thanks

actually it has a few issues including the the play store search not working in firmware 13, I have to turn off HDR mode on my TV (hisense 5100) to get a picture from the H6, and like you said the wifi is poop but then they did make the box out of metal lol. its a shame I really like the UI

Seamless install plug and play. Replaced H96 Pro+ found it to be superior in every way and I thought the H96 was good. Zidoo have done great job on the U.I., 2gig DDR4 more than enough. As good if not better that the 3gig DDR3 I had on the H96 just formated a 32gig sd card as internal storage so plenty of room there. Hasn't got the over heating issues I had with the H96, Wifi speeds better than the H96. Me likey

Como alternativa... poderia sempre ligar à rede directamente e conseguir assim o débito máximo que a minha ligação permite (infelizmente neste momento é de 30 mbit/s :-( ) Para esta gama de preços, (até 100 Eur) há algum outro aparelho que proponha? Hello Roberto. I have the x6 pro and I am unhappy with it. I do not think that i will purchase another Zidoo product as I tried numerous time to gain support/warranty from them and never got any success. The retailer actually refunded me on a goodwill status. The product is very buggy and there is delay with audio using the Zdmc. I would like to ask you an off topic question if I may. Living in the USA and of a Portuguese decent, boa tarde, I am having trouble finding a premium paid service for Portuguese programming for Iptv or Kodi. Could you recommend a good one, if any, that has the shows like RTP, SIC, and the Sportv 1, 2....? I am trying to set something up for my father that would be easy to use and reliable. Any insight would be appreciative. Keep up the good work with the videos. E que deus te abençoa. Thanks!

Hey Paul, funny that im still using the X6, for a different purpose (recording videos) but im using it. I remember some issues with ZDMC but i only use Kodi, Plex, Emby so oh well. My opinion is that Zidoo does some effort but its not enough and also they take RK and Allwiner Socs that are not as good as Amlogic and makes their job harder and their costumers not so happy. Honestly the best service that we have is from the Internet providers like Meo or NOS or Vodafone. My suggestion would be if you have anyone here in Portugal that has TV and internet services from these companies you could ask for user-name and pass and use the 200 channels that we have here 😊 and all needed would be a VPN service to simulate your connection on PT Honestly besides that i have a very hard time on recommending anything specially because we dont know what is a legal IPTV or Ilegal IPTV company. Its a though one Obrigado e Grande Abraço ai para os Estados Unidos Paulo!! 👍

Hey Bryan, namm 😀 The X7 is a budget entry level box and the H6 Pro is a mid range box. Minix U9-H at this moment is still the fastest Pure Android TV Box available 👍

Hi Umar, Nvidia Shield, Minix U9-H, Wetek Play 2, Mibox 3. But the H96 Pro + has a decent performance and the Ethernet connection is good enough for Game Stream etc

Hi Nathan, i just updated the H6 today wit the new firmware that allows netflix HD but the Wifi problem remains the same so i imagine at this moment that its a hardware problem and not firmware. If you really need wifi the X7 is the best option 👍

I currently purchased the H6 Pro but my wifi setting is giving me some problem.There is intermittent on the wifi signal.Can you advise me on how to resolve this issue?

Hi, in my review i also mentioned wifi issues on this box and at that time i hoped for a firmware update that fixed but i have lost hope and I believe its the actual wifi chip that sucks or the metal housing that block the signal so no good news

Hi Aleksandre, the reports were that soon it would be able to play in HD but that was Zidoo marketing and i still havent seen it in HD so i cant say that it does. I also havent tested since my original review so something could have changed

Humm, i have tested the A10, and i also have the A5 on tests (but waiting for the firmware update for 7.0) so that i can test with the latest firmware. The A11 performance wise will be the same as A5 / A10 so probably not Rj 👍

This is a great box, has great potential but I would request you not to buy any box from Zidoo. I bought H6 pro because this has awesome hardware but sad to say the firmware ruined this box. Google play store does not work properly, google play service error pops up every 5 sec, Automatic frame rate sync does not work. If you do not believe go check reviews in Amazon and go to the official forum of Zidoo: forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?forums/zidoo-h6-pro.46/ . Many people reported their problem but Ziddo failed to fix the problem and now they stopped support of this box. Go buy box from well-known companies i.e. Xiaomi or Nvidia, you never have to think about software bugs or others.

Wi-Fi is great on this box so don't worry about that. I get 160mb download on mine.

Hi Roberto ! I just received my zidoo h6 pro but I cant manage to get dtshd or dolby true hd with plex or android player. Passthrough is activated but I only have dolby digital + or basic dts. Do you have dolby true hd and dts hd? My receiver is an onkyo 646 taking up to atmos btw. Thanks for your help :)

Hi Munoz, unfortunately i cant test audio cause my AV Receiver is not capable of it. I would contact Zidoo as soon as possible and ask if it does passtrough or not and if not then pherhaps its best to ask for a refund. If possible please keep me posted if it has or not support to DTHD or DTSHD RJ 👍

Roberto Jorge thanks for the answer. I think the zidoo h6 pro has some issues with the passthrough option cause I managed to have dts hd and dolby true hd only on kodi but I dont longer have sounds on my emulators :/

I play my h6 pro on denon s720 and DTHD and DTSHD runs passthrough, but with glitchs occurring randomly . Tried more than one version of Kodi with 1.0.11 and 1.0.13 firmware, without solve it. will test with plex now

Hi, honestly there is no way that we cant tell with numbers and resolution on Android at least but im used to watch Netflix in 1080 and UHD so i can tell simply because usually it has a few stages. It starts at 360p for 1-2 secs than shifts to 480p and that is where most boxes stay then after a few seconds it will go to HD or UHD depending on the device and also on the network speed 😊 So although i havent any cientific method for netflix believe me that at this moment it didnt get more than 480p Some say that Netflix will come at HD in the Zidoo H6 Pro soon but till i see it i cant put my hands on "fire" 😊

Hi Nan, no we dont need to pay anything else, unless you subscribe to any service like netflix and in that case you will need to pay a monthly fee to netflix 😊

I think there are many nice TV boxes for 50$ or just a little more in Gearbest. Android 6 or 7, 2GB RAM. Sunvell, M96X, Mecool, etc. I guess they are on Amazon as well

Probably Vax, i have reported to Zidoo the day that i have published this video, they said they would look into it but no answers so.... humm you are probably right. I was hoping for a bad unit or firmware but looks like someone screw things. I also checked a few other reviews and the ones i seen they dont mention the wifi speeds with some excuses to protect the brand so that is not a good sign unfortunately

Wifi has been all over the map with this box. Some people are getting good results and some poor. I think this could be a channel selection issue which can vary from router to router. (Simple to test and see if that solves the issue.) I should have one of these things in the next few weeks and see how it pans out.

Just visit the forums and see this box is too buggy! Even after 4 fw updates they breaking things which worked and bringing new issues! avoid this box until a good stable tested firmware is released. and FYI OTA just doesnt work just a gimmick. Have to install Kodi as they didn't included their ZDMC (Zidoo's Kodi Fork) and its laggy, no hw decoding, buggy interface. so Kodi is a NO Go for this box! No support from Zidoo till date!

Crappy boxes with only 2 GB Ram which is not Enough . Better buy Wetek Play 2 With Full Android Support and Netflix 4K and support all videos . Hope They Release Wetek Play 3 With More RAM and Better processor so it smashed all Chinese Boxes ..

Not really sure why you would need 3GB 😀 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8ngx9Pe-7WI.html i prefer every single day a well implemented software than more ram. 1GB is not enough, 2 is more than enough and 3GB is marketing at this moment with the aps that we have and even doing intensive multi task oh well the tests that i did on the video above speaks for him self. We need faster storage instead of Ram, most chinese manufactures play with the Amlogic S912 (one of the best socs around) but after that they put cheap storage which makes the box slow, like a HDD vs SSD and only a few brands use premium. Wetek is a great device but not sure if they will put 3GB on the next generation 👍 RJ 😀
