@@xdsmile5359 how would that work I wonder...mabye a fallen or something called the hunt master that drops a bow, a heavy frame sword, and a bowgun for destiny. And for mh... idk mabye a shadow of riven for some armor and a big exotic bow and long/greatsword
I just imagined something horrifying.... A Thunderlord Zinogre is just a "regular" Zinogre, just with the capability to generate more energy with a few other physical mutations. Now imagine a Stygian Zinogre going through or having a similar mutation.... The *Stygian Thunderlord*
I still just love that little detail at 14:33, where the Zinogre looks at the hunter. Acknowledging its presence. Kinda like "Yo there. Hold on a sec, i'll get those other guys outta here"
When I first saw that cutscene I didn’t get anything comedic out of it. To me it was absolutely majestic, noble, and fierce. I felt like for a moment an aspect of nature protected me from larger predators and reminded them that it was the Apex. That’s what I got. That scene actually made Zinogre one of my favorite monsters
@@hotsauce8780 man many of the turf wars are shit because the devs are to lazy to change them up. That's y most of the ingame turf wars are invalid because they just applied it to the skeleton instead of making specific ones for each monster like for instance Brachy, in not 1 Not one of his turf wars have him using is fists, he just dose the same shit Anja or glavenus does
@@divineraccoon1276 If they wanted Zinogre to win, they would have had him win. And Zinogre has his own turf war animation and doesn't share it soooo....Rathalos and Zinogre even have a unique one dude. And they tie.
@@hotsauce8780 True but they did that tie shit with a few monsters that aren't evenly matched, like Velkhana vs Rajang. They gave her the same turf war animation with Rajang that he has with Daora. Velkhana would Trump Rajang and they could've done it to wear she actually utilizes her ice like she actually would. But they ended up doing what they did with every other turf war and just re-applied the same damn thing to her.
Personally, I feel Zinogre is one of those monsters that has the potential to be a threat to any monsters that isnt elder dragon lvl. Simply because it can advance beyond its physical capabilities. Being faster than a nargacuga and with bone smashing forearms. Though I must admit, compared to other predators, its fangs are quite small, but it doesnt need them to be affective weapons when its claws stay sharp. Seriously love zinogre
Pretty sure stigyian can fight some of them toe to toe if Savage Jho can especially since I've witnessed Stigyian Zinogres whooping Savage Deviljho's asses in MHW Hell think about wat a Thunderlord Zin could do..... Lol a Stigyian Thunderlord is definitely elder tier, we might see 1 in MHW its very possible, all we can do is hope.
@@knitetimeteddy2989 Time in the guiding lands has granted Stygian Zinogre masterful utilization of dracophage bugs and dragon element as well as incredible strength and speed not seen in the old world. To the point, I question its level of intelligence as it doesnt fight as a simply beast like say Anjanath or Savage Deviljho. That said, in lore it's still not on par with deviljho, even though gameplay may tell a different story. That's the problem with certain monsters being in the same area. When you look at a glavenus vs deviljho, you'd think that due to its size and what it could do, it would be on deviljho lvl but isnt. Still it's not to say a Zinogre couldn't fight one off as the species are intelligent when it comes to combat and their elemental focus can seriously damage an unprepared deviljho. I mean Yian Garuga was able to stagger and knock the brute wyvern off its feet despite its smaller size
@@BlackRaptor77 Lore is always the problem. They know it as they have retconned stuff just for MHW thas why i honestly stopped caring for it becuase they'll prolly do it again. Its great n all but yeah. As for devilJho, stgyian is immune to dragon funnily enough lol while jho gets severly dmg'd by it. Thats why I through lore out the window, to many small things that make stuff seem stupid. We havent even seen a thunderlord version of stgyian either. LOL so yeah he's gunna be busted if they ever come around to making him.
@@knitetimeteddy2989 Its true they did started changing things for the sake of mhw. Lore can be fun if done right, but sometimes it doesnt hold up with the game and sometimes makes things confusing like with Black Diablos being a subspecies yet it isnt. I could easily see Stygian Zinogre throwing a literal dragon storm at deviljho in attempt to kill it and as long as Zinogre avoid being grabbed by deviljho mouth and its corroding saliva it could take it out. He will absolutely have to watch out for is that slam deviljho does with its head with its maw open, as it clearly uses all of those ludicrousy huge neck and back muscles to smash its preys armor or possibly their spine. I feel that's what it probably uses to kill larger monsters and its obviously more devastating with savage, but I imagine that a Stygian or even a regular Zinogre is too much trouble. Thunder lord Stygian wouldve been beastly. That probably wouldve been the coolest deviant
I like to imagine Zinogre have a social system similar to tigers most of the time. Outside of the mating season tigers will occasionally socialize with nearby relatives and mates. Obviously they come together to mate and raise young but outside of that obviously
the fact that there's only one known species of fanged wyvern in the old world means they probably evolved in the new world and at some point the ancestors of the zinogre crossed the seas by some means
Zinogre is my all time favorite. Though can't say I've ever cared about stygian zinogre, but do like Thunderlord Zinogre. Howling Zinogre takes the cake but since I never got around to hunting him before frontier closed because was only around G20 so can't put him as best since I didn't get to hunt him myself.
A interesting variation of Zinogre would be one without any bugs, I mean it was be kinda boring if they didn’t try anything unique with it, but there is possibilities for this idea, or perhaps a zinogre with multiple types of bugs, like flashbugs to add a stun to its roar, being able to use both thunderbugs and dracopage bugs, maybe some other things that I can’t think of.
Saw a little something hard core on my last Hunt. So I was hunting a Teostra with a group of randoms. We killed it, then suddenly a Savage Deviljho (spicy pickle) shows up and starts eating the elder dragon. Like wtf! And I'm thinking this red and green SOB made us do all the work so he could have a snack!
As some one who is new with this series its so interesting to see its lore (I started with rise). Currently im absolutely addicted ti this game and it has one of the only communities i truly like to interact with
Okay so there is one question i like to ask about the Size of a Zinogre. A regular size is around 14 feet and weighs over ot at least 2000 pounds. What size is a baby zinogre and how much do they weigh?
5:18 Oh, this is best part personally for me. Arzuros is just there, eating its honey. *Garwawas running away from the Zinorge* *Arzuros notices* _Why are the Garwawas running away? What's that sound... Oh honey... My honey!_ *Accidentally drops honey* _Okay, Hunter. I don't know about you but... I'ma out of here!_ *Arzuros be like; "Forget the honey, just scram!*
Don’t lie, we all want a baby Zinogre as a pet, Capcom, please, implement a mechanic that lets you have baby monsters as pets or hunting partners in the next game, I beg of you
The longest grind I ever did was zinogre for a jasper in 3u and it took 32 zinogres 2 fails I only stopped 1 time because I got angry witch only says how much I love him
I really love the zinogre and this was a very cool video explaining them more and I did not know alot of this info and I been saying it wrong so glad to see how to say it now very cool lore video love this
Personnaly i thinl stygians are created differently. Simply:normal zinogre gets born, more dracophage than thunderbugs, best option as theres more, stygian. However this is more in the direction in variant now that i think about it but black diablos has a bit of the same situation so yeah.
@@mechzilla569 correct, it starts as the same species but due to the enviroment(diablos heat, zinogre bug type) they change. So its more of variant if you ask me as its not of evolution but in diablos case not pernament, and stygian can just leave its living enviroment to search for thunderbugs instead of dracophage
Tycho Plays Io Games black diablos goes back after matin season but the Stygian can’t revert the mom might stumble on some draco bugs mutates the zinoger into a Stygian it can’t revert something from birth
@@mechzilla569 thats my point in this entire discussion. I think its possible stygian could be a variant because of its ecology. Regular zinogre finds dracophage bugs and becomes stygian. Its simply a stygian thats not a subspecies(evolution) but a variant(certain thing that happened in its life)
It doesn't add extra health but super charge requires more damage to remove on a Tempered Zinogre so you'll fight it mostly Supercharged. Hope that helps!
The only real nitpick about the new world Zinogre I have is that I wish he still held his neck and head high up in a cocky manner. Now he kinda just skulks around like Odo and Tobi.
