@@porclave9044 he's got a higher iq than the average player. Plus he still has versatility. On his first match they flooded the paint so dude was poppin 3s.
@@nicsim7469 imagine if he can shoot very well and can actually take a ball after blocking, giving his team possession, man he'll be a versatile beast... even just to watch him from my screen i'll be super scared... edit : man i just watched the clips from the match with spurs and his 3s are dope af
It's a deadly combo. Zo knows where to pass and Zion knows just how to utilize and maximize the chance to make a score. Mutual benefits since Zion has easier time to create space for scoring, and Zo doesn't need to worry much about his pass might be futile since Zion is so clever on making scoring opportunities, given the limited space available.
ubadman1 nah, Lonzo would not be able to make most of the passes if Zion ain’t the receiver. kinda like CP3-Griffin combo back in their prime lob city days. When Griffin was injured CP had to adjust how he passes. hope that Ball-Zion combo sticks together better than them tho
@@jeffhardy6333 yes he does lmao they are outscoring opponents by 12.8 points per 100 possessions when he's on the court when he's not it's 3.3 I think only LeBron is higher.
@@mhj626 that stat is inflated becuas ehis minutes are super low and the pelicans opponents werent that impressive. when they went against teams even of dallas caliber they looked outgunned.
Honestly Lonzo is a pg who is like the perfect build. 6’7 great defender, amazing passer, really athletic, and he is beginning to get his confidence meaning he’s shooting more and better.
@The Truth Not necessarily. Your PG won't need to average 20 ppg if their team mates can average 25 ppg or more (Zion and Ingram). Point Guards are only scoring more because of how current rules benefit them, but this doesn't mean your PG must score a lot. There are other ways to play the game. Look at the Raptors' PG when they won the championship and how Milwaukee is one of the best teams in the league without a volume scorer as their PG. The teams that won rings didn't win just because they had scoring PGs (Curry and Kyrie). They were more than that. Lonzo will be fine if he averages 12~15 ppg while Zion and Ingram take the scoring responsibilities. Lonzo just needs more reliable shots. This would be enough to make him a super threat. Top tier passing and vision, great defense and can score when needed? No way a player like that can fail. At most you can say he wouldn't lead a franchise, but it wouldn't prevent him from becoming a great PG for a championship team.
For me i want zion to become the face of the nba he carries himself like professional he has space jam type athleticism. He needs to focus on conditioning, i really think ball and zion fit perfectly together, imo ball has elite passing abilities he can put the ball in places nobody but zion can catch
That baseline move in first two minutes. Ooo-wee!!. Havent seen someone make a dunk like that with the silky smooth finish AND dunk with authority since Shawn Kemp. Anyone? Anyone? Kid is nice !!
Lonzo and Zion will make some noise in the future , hope they stay together for a long time , basketball seems exciting again with those alley oops and dunks
I guess he had that vertical in college but his dunks in the nba don't seem as athletic. Maybe it's bcoz the previous injury so let's hope he gets that ability back after enough rest.
watching these highlights reminds me of a question my friend asked me in second grade: Would you rather win rock paper sizers every time or make a slam dunk every time? Zion clearly chose dunking
I feel like he has learnt to land easier after the huge dunks which might end up meaning he has much less injuries. I hope we get to see more of this manimal.
is it wise to reserve jump shots and fadeaways at a later stage of his career? will his weight increase eventually as he age? if so, should he do these powerful dunks more often while he still can?
That double bouce Zion has is going to be so deadly. His ability to leap, land, and leap up again so quickly is so underrated. He’s gonna be a problem when he gets comfortable in the league.
he's got that little quick shimmy he does down in the post... kinda like what runningbacks do to fake out their defenders comin at them or fake which hole they going to cut to
They have one of the most exciting young player in league and yet so many empty seats. Sheesh. NOLA doesn't deserve him. It will always be a football town. He'll be out of there after his rookie contract
A lot of guys only note Zion's athletic dunks but overlook that he's a rookie that moves off-the-ball like a veteran, has elite level motor, and is also very crafty and acrobatic.
